吉祥寺東急近くの路地を入ったところに4月28日にオープンしたばかりの焼肉店エイジングビーフ。
店名の通り熟成肉を扱うのだが、熟成ものとそうでないものの食べ比べなど部位に応じた楽しみ方ができる。
あえてA5ではなくA3・A4の肉を一頭買いしてリーズナブルに提供しているそう(ちなみにこの日の肉は30日熟成の福島産の黒毛和牛雌牛)。A5って霜降りの具合など結局見た目だけでしか決まらないから、味はA3・A4でも十分美味しいと聞いたことがあるからこのスタンスは大賛成。
店はどこかのカフェかイタリアン!?と見紛うくらいのオサレな空間で女性も入りやすい(ちなみにランチもやってる)。
ポイントが高いのはカウンター席があること、女性ひとり焼肉でも気後れすることなく行けそうな感じ。
この日はたまたま空いていた個室でいただいた。
コース料理は5,800円からあり、高くても8,500円。
この日は真ん中の「Aging Beef 極上焼肉と焼きすきのコース7000円」をチョイスした。
生ビールやスパークリングワインなども含む飲み放題も1800円だから、食べて飲んで1万円以内で楽しめるリーズナブルさが嬉しいね。
実際食べてみると肉質はかなりいい。
熟成したタンの柔らかさと普通のタンのサクサク感など食べ比べもそれぞれの美味しさを楽しめたし、
見た目も美しいミスジの焼きすきは奥久慈の卵黄を絡めてひとくちご飯とともに、これがまたうまい!
このお値段で熟成肉7種の部位を食べ比べできるのはかなり嬉しいし、お肉のことをよくわかっていてそれぞれのベストな焼き方も教えてくださる。
シメもビビンバ、ユッケジャンクッパ、冷麺から選べるのも嬉しい。
しかも冷麺は夏らしいすだち薄切りが並んだ可愛らしいもの。
デザートも女性が喜びそうな見た目もカラフルで可愛いグラス入り。
こういうオサレな焼肉って雰囲気だけのところも多いけど、
こちらはお肉も料理もかなり実力派だなと思う。
場所的にもまだまだ穴場感もあるし、おすすめ!
