Nagoya Food You Should Check Out - 名古屋めし

I'm born in Nagoya, and I don't really eat local food, like Miso nikomi udon. But Misokatsu, is my soul food. My mother always cook Misokatsu and the taste is different from house to house.

Among those Misokatsu, I think Yabaton is really good. If you can eat a lot, please try Waraji, it is twice bigger than normal one.

僕は名古屋生まれですが、味噌煮込みうどんとか名古屋めしはあんまり食べません。でも味噌カツは別です。ソウルフードです。母がよく味噌カツをつくってくれて、その味もやっぱり家ごとに違います。

その中でも、まあ母の味はおいといて矢場トンはまじでヤバイです。もしたくさんたべれるのであれば「わらじ」をお勧めします。通常の2倍の大きさの味噌カツです。

If you don't have time to come to Yabacho, you can go one in Nagoya station.

矢場町に行く時間がなければ名古屋駅にも同じ矢場トンがあります。

I don't know why but people are always making a long line here.

なぜかはわかりませんが、みんないつも長蛇の列をつくっています。ひつまぶしというのはうなぎを乗せた丼ですが、ソースがとても香り豊かで、お茶を入れてお茶漬けのようにして食べることもできます。

This is the oldest Hitsumabushi restaurant around here. That means, the oldest in universe!!

名古屋のひつまぶしで一番古いのはここです。つまり宇宙で最も古いひつまぶしレストランです。ひつまぶしというのはうなぎを乗せた丼ですが、ソースがとても香り豊かで、お茶を入れてお茶漬けのようにして食べることもできます。

I don't really eat Miso nikomi udon, but for those who like rich taste, this is nice. The noodle is kind of stiff, but that is good point of this udon. It's very opposite from Ise udon (Ise udon is very soft).

僕はあまり味噌煮込みうどんは食べませんが、濃い味が好きな人にとってはおいしいと思います。麺が固いかもしれませんが、それがいいとこです。伊勢うどんとは味が濃い点では似ていますが、そこが一番違います（伊勢うどんはやわらかいのが売りです）。

Check the menu and and you may get confused because they are so crazy. Pasta with whip cream, sweet red beans and more. The shaved ice is like a mountain. I don't think the taste is any good, but still I'm sure you will get many "likes" on your photo post of this.

メニューを見るとちょっと混乱するかもしれません。想像できない味のものばかりです。ホイップの載ったパスタ、小倉パスタ、などなど。かき氷はもはや小さな山です。味は全く良いと思えませんが、SNSで「いいね！」はかなりつくと思います。

Taiwan Ramen is one of famous nagoya foods. It sounds weird, but it is because this is invented by Taiwanese living here. It's so spicy and I cannot eat this without sweating and drinking water. The taste is so good. I always go here.

台湾らーめんは名古屋めしです。というとちょっと変に聞こえるかもしれませんが、名古屋在住の台湾人が発明した料理のようです。めちゃめちゃ辛いので水を飲まずに完食するのは不可能です。僕にとっては。味は間違いないです。行きつけの店の一つです。

Komeda is everywhere. It's the biggest and the most famous cafe in here. It is just 2 minutes walk from sharebase and it is confortable inside.
Taste of coffee? It is not as good as the above.lol

コメダは名古屋ではどこにでもあります。名古屋で最も大きくて有名なカフェです。sharebaseからも2分で、とても居心地のいい空間でコーヒーを飲んで過ごすことができます。
コーヒーですか？上のやつとかに比べるとそんな美味しくないです。

Tebasaki is one of the most popular Nagoya foods. It is chiken wings with spicy source. And Yama-chan is the best tebasaki restaurant here. It is chain, so you can find anywhere in Nagoya, so if the restaurant is full, just ask them if there is any vacancy around there. You can find another restaurant within walk distance.

手羽先は名古屋めしの中でも最も人気なものの一つで、スパイシーな味が特徴です。山ちゃんはその手羽先界隈でも最も有名で、チェーンなのでそこらじゅうにあります。もし席がいっぱいだったら近くの店で空きがないか聞いてみてください。だいたい歩いていけるところに他の店舗があるはずです。
