I chose Earl Grey tea and had it with the cake. Each cake was creative, with a refined sweetness and the tartness of fruit, and tasted amazingly good.

First, choose your sweets from the showcase—petit gâteau (small fancy cakes)—and your drink, then take the seat you’re shown to. The interior has a crisp look and the kind of design and style I like. Sunlight was streaming in through the floor-to-ceiling glass, as if the weather had cleared up before I knew it, brightening up the whole café.

I went with the seasonal fruit menu and chose the lychee cake. The dark cherry gelee had a rich aroma. It was a bright and elegant cake. The flavor had a nice balance of sweetness that spread across the palate and acidity, and it was delicious. It also came with coffee, and I relaxed on the terrace. I’d love to go again.

The interior has a clean feel with a white color scheme. It is spacious inside, and with an entire wall made of glass, it also feels very open. The cafe menu is by no means small, so I was able to enjoy cake and drinks as well. I could relax and had a very pleasant time.

I had the Kaga no Kocha (Kaga black tea) Nondeminasshi Plate. It came with a daily pound cake, and they served plenty of Kaga no Kocha and herbal tea in pots, so it felt like a nice bright place where you could chat about the museum exhibits after seeing them, or just relax and use the cafe even if you did not visit the exhibits.

A wide variety of cheesecakes♡ I had two kinds of cheesecake, brûlée and Kaga bocha (Kaga roasted stem tea), at the cafe inside Yamato Koji Park. The brûlée had a crisp top and soft filling, while the Kaga bocha had a firm texture and a nice aroma! Each one was delicious in its own way♡

Komehana Cheesecake
The brûléed top is nicely caramelized, adding a crisp texture and toasty flavor as an accent. The cheesecake inside is smooth and rich, but perhaps because of the koji (malted rice), the aftertaste does not feel too heavy, so you can enjoy it pleasantly to the last bite.

Plenty of marron cream covers the cake. When you put in your spoon, it slips in without resistance, showing how soft it is. As you bring it to your mouth, the aroma of liqueur hits your nose first.
