Minoya

On the west side of Hiroshima Station, the area around Yokogawa Station still has a retro feel. This pork specialty restaurant is about a 10-minute walk from Yokogawa Station.

It is open for lunch and dinner. This popular spot has a homey feel. There are about 13 seats, so it is a good idea to make a reservation.

The specialty is Hamburger Steak. They use Seto Hime (a branded pork) from Hiroshima Prefecture. They pay close attention to every detail, from balancing the cuts to reducing friction heat during grinding.

They shape it, let it rest, and then grill it. When you cut into it with a knife, the meat juices are said to come pouring out.

At dinnertime, they offer only courses where you can fully enjoy Seto-hime (brand pork). For the main dish, you can choose from several options, including Hamburger Steak.

The roast ham, pate, and pie wrapped dish all use pork. By changing the cuts and cooking methods, they show off the appeal of pork.

The Hamburger Steak has a beautiful oval shape and looks as good as it tastes. When you cut into it with a knife, the juices pour out like a waterfall, making you want to dig right in. The meat is tender and juicy, and the soy sauce based sauce on top really whets your appetite. It is the kind of Hamburger Steak you will want to come back for again and again, and I know I will be back for another one.

よしおぞう

The binder-free Hamburger Steak made with 100% pork bursts with juices the moment you cut into it, and the chunky, meaty texture gives it a satisfying bite and great taste. Even the sauce is carefully made from the bones of Kuroshinju-ton (Black Pearl Pork). It is lighter and less heavy than a typical demi-glace sauce, so I could enjoy it with a clean finish.

Minoru Shokudo

It is located on the dining floor on the 1st floor of ekie, the commercial complex directly connected to Hiroshima Station. This restaurant is operated by JA Zen-Noh and follows a local production for local consumption concept, using ingredients from the Chugoku-Shikoku region.

The restaurant has an open layout, with a casual atmosphere that makes it easy to stop by.

One of the popular menu items is the "House-Made Hamburger Steak." It uses Domestic beef and pork, and they are particular about both the ratio and how coarsely the meat is ground.

This Hamburger Steak locks in the meat’s rich flavor. You can choose either an onion sauce or a ponzu sauce made with lemons from Hiroshima Prefecture.

The “Gochiso set meal” is a deluxe set that comes with Hamburger Steak and one choice from six dishes, plus two main dishes, rice, miso soup, and more.

The roast beef made with Wagyu, fried oysters, chicken dishes, and more all use ingredients from Hiroshima Prefecture. You can enjoy plenty of tasty local food.

The roast beef made with finely marbled Hiroshima-gyu (Hiroshima beef) has a smooth texture on the tongue. When you bite into it, it pairs well with the roast beef sauce and has a rich, deep flavor. The carefully made Hamburger Steak, with all its meat juices locked in, brings out the full flavor of the meat and goes perfectly with the lemon ponzu sauce. The side dishes, Hiroshima-na-zuke (pickled Hiroshima greens), the hearty miso soup, and even the orange were all great!

The Hamburger Steak,, even just looking at the menu, I could only think it had to be good! And I was right from the start. It seems to be the kind of Hamburger Steak made with little or no binder, packed with juices that burst out! It seems to be a beef and pork blend, but that actually felt like a good thing to me.

Chambord

A restaurant in Funairi, a waterfront residential area in Naka-ku, Hiroshima City, between the Honkawa River and the Tenmagawa River. Founded in 1971, it has long been a favorite with locals.

The spacious interior extends deep into the building and has a calm atmosphere. On weekends, it gets so busy that the parking lot fills up.

The menu offers a wide range of items, including beef stew, curry, and steak, and some dishes let you choose either a set with rice or a set with bread.

The Hamburger Steak is said to have a firm, tightly packed texture, as if the ground meat has been kneaded well. Some reviews also mentioned that it has a mild flavor.

At lunchtime, the set menu with Hamburger Steak and fried shrimp is popular. The fried shrimp comes with tartar sauce and seems quite filling.

After the meal, there is also a service that lets you have coffee, juice, and other drinks at a discounted price.

fox87

The interior has the feel of the kind of coffee shop that started becoming more common around the mid-1980s, the kind that serves proper meals. The prices are reasonable too, which is nice. It was still fairly busy even close to closing time. It seemed to be a regular spot for older people from the neighborhood as well. The shrimp and the Hamburger Steak both had the kind of taste that sits somewhere between a Western-style restaurant and a coffee shop, making this a calm, nice place you can keep coming back to with ease.

I had a hard time choosing because there were so many items on the menu, but I went with the fried shrimp and Hamburger Steak lunch. The Hamburger Steak was meaty and juicy! The sauce was not as rich as it looked. And the most amazing thing was the fried shrimp!! The fried shrimp was packed with plump meat, and it was fried to perfection!

Yoshoku Kokemomo

This Western-style restaurant is located in Nakamachi, Naka-ku, Hiroshima City. Opened in 1991, it is a sister restaurant of Hirotei Tanaka, a yoshoku (Japanese-style Western food) restaurant that serves Western dishes unique to Japan and is loved by locals.

The interior has a warm and welcoming feel. It is easy to visit whether you are with family and children or dining alone.

With the motto “spare no effort and waste no time,” this place serves Homemade demi-glace sauce and soup made with great care.

The popular Hamburger Steak is said to bring out its rich flavor with spices and the slight bitterness of the sauce. It seems to go well with both rice and bread.

The “Otona no Okosama Ranchi (adult kids’ lunch)” lets you try a variety of popular menu items. It is a one-plate set made for adults, with an assortment of small portions of dishes that kids tend to love.

This set is perfect when you want to eat a little of this and a little of that. It is available in limited quantities during weekday lunch hours.

When I think of yoshoku (Western-style Japanese food), I think Hamburger Steak, so I ordered that, but the spaghetti and Omurice also looked way too good... The Hamburger Steak was packed with meat, and I think maybe it was the spices they used? It had a flavor that was more than just tasting the meat, and it made me think there’s no way I could recreate this at home!

ドラえもん8255

This yoshoku (Japanese-style Western food) restaurant had a modern yet nostalgic feel both outside and inside, and it was very comfortable. This time, I had the weekday-only limited 10-serving "Otona no Okosama Lunch" and the "Vanilla Pudding" for dessert after the meal. Everything was very good, but the clam chowder was my favorite in particular. I would love to visit again♪

Some to Cha Kabe Ten

This cafe restaurant is in the Kameyama area, a residential neighborhood surrounded by rich nature, about 15km north of central Hiroshima City. It sits along National Route 191.

The space feels like a large mountain lodge. The big glass windows let you enjoy your meal while looking out at the lush natural scenery.

Many people seem to relax and take in the view while enjoying coffee, homemade cake, and pudding.

One of the popular items is “Masao no Hamburger Steak set meal.” It is a hearty Hamburger Steak named after the chef, and it comes topped with a fried egg.

On weekdays at lunchtime, they offer a reasonably priced daily lunch special, a value set with two kinds of dishes, salad, and more served as an assortment on one plate.

Some days it comes with Hamburger Steak, and every menu item has a Homemade feel that seems to convey the chef's warmth as well.

The onion sauce on the Hamburger Steak is light and delicious. On top of the Hamburger Steak is a fried egg cooked just right. It looks beautiful too. I was full, but the after meal coffee was JPY150 off. I enjoyed it with chiffon cake, and it was delicious. Manzoku, despite the typo.

Because reviews said the Hamburger Steak was good, I ordered the Hamburger Steak set meal. The view from inside the restaurant was great! There were lots of flowers blooming around the restaurant, which felt very soothing. The Hamburger Steak was juicy, and although it was 200 grams, it came with plenty of salad too, so I ended up very full!

Teppan-yaki KIWA

This restaurant is in Danbara, Minami-ku, Hiroshima, in a residential area with many students. It specializes in Hamburger Steak cooked on a Teppan-yaki griddle.

The bright space is done in brown tones and feels like a cafe. You can visit for either lunch or dinner.

The specialty is the "Hamburger Steak All you can eat Lunch." This plan lets you eat as much of their house made 100% beef Hamburger Steak as you like.

Each piece is on the smaller side, and they serve it piping hot and freshly grilled. It tastes great, and many people seem to end up eating more than they expected.

One nice point is that they offer four kinds of sauce that go well with the Hamburger Steak, so you can change up the flavor as you eat. They also offer a cheese topping for an extra charge.

They also have set menus with Hamburger Steak, rice, and soup, rather than All you can eat.

kyb615

The Hamburger Steak is a little smaller than a fist, so big eaters might be able to finish it in one bite. It is well seasoned, so it is plenty tasty even on its own. There are lots of sauces to change up the flavor, so you can keep eating piece after piece without getting tired of it.

やよすけ39999

They served freshly grilled Hamburger Steak, and it was tender and very delicious. It was good even on its own, with a nice salty seasoning. There were also 4 kinds of sauces to change up the flavor, so it felt like I could eat several without getting tired of it(^-^)For toppings, I ordered cheese and salad for an extra charge, and those were tasty too.

Bagu Man

A restaurant near Hiroshima Danbara Shopping Center that serves Hamburger Steak and steak. It is on the ground floor of an apartment building.

You first buy a ticket for the menu item you want from the ticket machine and pay in advance. The space has a calm, woody feel.

Even when served, the food arrives on a piping hot Teppan-yaki plate, so hot that steam rises and oil splatters. Since paper aprons are available, it’s a good idea to put one on.

The Hamburger Steak has a hearty, meaty texture, and its flavor spreads through your mouth with every bite. You can choose from 5 kinds of sauce.

The Hamburger Steak and steak set is also popular. For an extra charge, you can also add toppings like egg and cheese.

It also comes with plenty of vegetables such as bean sprouts, and these are left unseasoned. Another nice point is that you can flavor them to your liking with the seasonings on the table.

Maverick2025

The Hamburger Steak is made with a coarse grind, so it has a real meaty texture. Rather than being soft and airy, it is the kind that spreads rich meat flavor with every bite, and the surface finishes with a nice savory aroma from the residual heat of the Teppan-yaki. The steak also does not go for an elegant style, focusing instead on red meat and a satisfying chew. The seasoning goes great with rice, and it is a perfect match for plain white rice.

When the staff opened the lid, sizzle! Steam and splattering fat burst up from the teppan-yaki (iron griddle)! An apron is a must! I seasoned the vegetables with salt and ate them, but they also had steak sauce and Yakiniku sauce! I went with tomato sauce for the Hamburger Steak! It was meaty and delicious! The Outside skirt steak was tender! It was also very juicy, though!

Yoshokuka Mulberry

Yokogawa is located on the delta of the Ota River. This restaurant sits near Yokogawa Station among a row of many shops.

It opened in 2007 with the aim of being a casual, friendly old-school “kitchen.” The chef, who trained at hotels and restaurants, serves Western-style dishes.

The interior has a warm feel with brown as the main tone. It seems to have a homey atmosphere.

The popular dish is the "Hanburugu Steak." This Hamburger Steak is served piping hot, and when you cut into it with chopsticks, the juices spill out. You can enjoy it with a Japanese-style sauce.

The "Tokusei Hamburger Steak" is served wrapped in foil. It is a dish that also lets you enjoy the excitement of cutting open the foil.

It is steamed and baked together with demi-glace sauce, so you can enjoy its deep flavor.

Mitsu stroll

The soft, piping hot Hamburger Steak is absolutely amazing. The moment you cut into it with a knife, the juices come spilling out, and every bite brings a little more happiness✨The sauce is rich and goes perfectly with rice. The stir-fried vegetables on the side are light and crisp✨so it never feels too heavy, and that makes it nice to enjoy every bite to the end without getting tired of it.

味な店日記 ひとくちめ

The Hamburger Steak at Hanburugu was so soft and gentle, almost as if it were filled with air, yet it still had the rich flavor of the meat and the satisfying punch of a Hamburger Steak, and it was so good it naturally made me smile. Eating it with chopsticks, and having the soup feel more like miso soup, gave it a nice homey feel, and we enjoyed it while talking about how nice that was.

Gold R

A Hamburger Steak specialty restaurant about a 5-minute walk from the north exit of Yokokawa Station. Located on the ground floor of an apartment building, it is marked by a wooden barrel and a black awning.

The interior is a calm space based on black tones. From the counter seats, you can watch the food being prepared.

Based in Kanagawa Prefecture, Fukuyoshi carries on the flavor of Torokeru Hamburger Steak. Its signature is Hamburger Steak made with 100% Wagyu and no binders at all, such as flour or eggs.

You cook it on a tabletop solid-fuel burner before eating. After grilling for about 1 minute, it stays rare and is said to have a melt-in-your-mouth texture.

It is also recommended to cut the Hamburger Steak and grill it. That way, you can enjoy the nice savory aroma and the tender meat.

You can choose the Hamburger Steak size from five options, ranging from 150g to 400g. Another nice point is that you can change up the flavor in different ways, with wasabi, salt, special sauce, and more.

踊る埴輪

When you eat it as is, it’s super melty and seriously tasty(^q^)I’ve had tartare steak (raw ground beef) before, and it’s that kind of good. To put it in a way that’s easier to picture, it’s like a beef version of negitoro (minced fatty tuna). Since it’s only half-cooked, though, it’s cool in temperature. That’s why it’s also good if you grill it just enough to warm it through a little.

ニックハリー

Once the Teppan-yaki had heated up, I cut into the Hamburger Steak and lightly cooked the inside. I took the first bite with the special sauce. Mmm, this is delicious. You can really taste the flavor of the meat, and it goes very well with the sauce. It also comes with wasabi, and eating it with wasabi like a steak is also really good.

Good Burg

Aqua Hiroshima Center-gai, in central Hiroshima City, combines a bus center and shopping center. This restaurant on the 7th floor mainly serves Hamburger Steak and steak.

It is easy to visit whether alone or in a group, and has a casual atmosphere that everyone from children to seniors can enjoy.

The Hamburger Steak is a slightly larger 230g. It combines Domestic pork with Australian beef and is cooked until it is tender enough to cut with chopsticks.

The classic seasoning is a demi-glace sauce slowly simmered with red wine, butter, and spices.

There are several sauce options too, including a tomato sauce made with fully ripe tomatoes and onions, and a Japanese style sauce with apple and ginger.

For an extra charge, you can also add toppings such as cheese or fried shrimp. The "Loco Moco Plate," which comes with Hamburger Steak served over rice, is also popular.

まこたけ

The rich demi-glace sauce has deep flavor, with sweetness and a nice level of acidity that pairs well with the moist, tender Hamburger Steak. Its full-bodied taste also goes great with rice, making it easy to keep eating. The Hamburger Steak is 230g, with a satisfying presence and volume that make it very filling.
