The tonkatsu (breaded pork cutlet) was tender, thick, and juicy. On top of that, the sauce on the table was so good that I always pour plenty of it on! My dining companion ordered the toku teki rice, so we traded a little, and the beef Outside skirt was tender and tasty too!

I ordered the popular 200-gram tokuteki (special steak) and rice. The salad arrived right away, and about 15 minutes later the main dish was served. For the tokuteki (Outside skirt), you can choose when ordering whether you want it cut or left whole. It already comes seasoned, so they say it tastes good as is. It was thick and cooked just right, paired well with the sweet and savory steak sauce, and went great with the rice.

I had a steak Rice bowl for lunch! Even though the price is not high, it is great that they give you a solid amount of meat on top! The showcase was full of tasty-looking meat. It would be nice to come for dinner and have a big steak. It was a great meal.

This restaurant lets you enjoy Teppan-yaki cooked right in front of you by the chef. The fire performance when the steak is grilled on the Teppan-yaki plate in front of you and the chef’s skillful cooking are both great to watch! I switched the rice in the course to garlic rice, and it was delicious to eat half of it first, then pour dashi broth over the rest to enjoy it ochazuke-style.

I ordered the tankaku-gyu (Japanese Shorthorn beef) steak, 150g. When I ate it with wasabi and sauce, the rich flavor of the meat spread through my mouth and really surprised me. It was not heavy at all, and I enjoyed it all the way to the last bite. I honestly felt deep down that I definitely want to come back and eat it again.

SUMIBI STEAK Fujima

SUMIBI STEAK Toma is a restaurant where you can enjoy carefully selected ingredients such as himono (sun-dried fish) and Japanese Black Wagyu, grilled over authentic charcoal.

One of its charms is the open kitchen, where you can take in the live feel of the cooking. The counter and tables are made from single slab wood, creating a luxurious space.

They do not limit themselves to brand-name beef, and instead source the best meat available at any given time.

You can enjoy a wide range of meat dishes, including a Wagyu steak with a choice of loin or filet, coarse-ground Hamburger Steak, and beef cutlet served with dashi shoyu (broth-infused soy sauce).

They serve himono (dried fish) made by a himono craftsman known as a Hyper Himono Creator. Carefully sun dried, it is known for having very few off notes.

With excess moisture removed and the flavor concentrated, the fish is said to be moist with no dryness at all.

Every dish was very good, and the main kuroge Wagyu rosu (Japanese Black Wagyu loin) was especially memorable. It was served blue rare, and I was glad they brought a shichirin (small charcoal grill) to the table so I could finish it over charcoal to my preferred doneness. There was also a wide range of seasonings, including miso, wasabi, salt, garlic chips, and steak sauce.

I ordered hako-buta steak (boxed pork steak), potatoes, and beer. The steak had a rich sweetness from the fat and plenty of meaty flavor, was cooked just right, and cut tenderly when I put a knife through it. The potatoes were nice and fluffy, and the salt and butter flavor went really well with the steak.

Soft and fluffy Hamburger Steak. It has just the right amount of juices, and it goes great with rice! Enjoy it with sauce or salt, whichever you like! The sides are also done with care, making this a well rounded dish. The soup is aka-dashi (red miso soup). This also goes perfectly with rice! The menu has more options than I expected, so this is definitely a place I need to visit again(^^)
