What makes this restaurant stand out is its yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), which are simple yet made with close attention to the quality of the ingredients. Using fresh ingredients and carefully grilled one by one, the yakitori gives a sense of Manzoku with every bite. A top recommendation is the chicken thigh skewer, known for its pleasant juiciness. Its moist texture and the secret house sauce create an excellent balance.

This time, we ordered a course meal♪The salad, tsukidashi (small appetizer), yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), and tori-shabu (chicken shabu-shabu) were all delicious, and we ended up very full. I ordered a highball, and the whiskey was on the strong side, which put me in a fun mood⭐️The food and drinks were both great, and I was Manzoku☺️

I was craving some good chicken, so I searched around and found this place, Gote O. It was crowded since it was a holiday weekend night, but I managed to grab a seat just in time! I started with yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), then moved on to goteyaki... Since they use Miyazaki jidori (Miyazaki free-range chicken), both the flavor and texture were excellent. I’ll pick this place again next time I want chicken! So good

Just before 20:00, we arrived as the first round of diners was leaving, and when we asked, "Can you seat two?" they said, "We can seat you in about 5 minutes." Just as they said, they showed us to our seats inside after about 5 minutes, and we sat at the counter. We ordered the jidori (local chicken) that had caught our eye on the sign outside. The jidori was grilled nice and fragrant, and it was delicious.

The menu is extensive, with everything from à la carte dishes to rice dishes, and the selection of kushiyaki (grilled skewers) is especially wide. Every dish was tasty, but personally... I especially liked the yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) and tori chazuke (chicken rice in broth). The yakitori was tender and went really well with the sauce, and the tori chazuke had a great dashi broth that paired nicely with the tender chicken❣️

The atmosphere of the restaurant was very calm and comfortable. The staff were polite and made the dining experience pleasant. Every dish was beautifully presented and delicious. It was the best yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) I’ve ever had! I’d definitely love to go again.

Among the yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), the thigh was unbelievably good. The otsukuri (sashimi selection) was a little pricey, but it was outstanding, with freshness and rich fat that made it well worth the price. I finished with tamago kake gohan (rice topped with raw egg), and it was the best I have ever had! The egg was so rich that it made me want another serving of rice.

I was Surprising at how large each grilled item was. It was delicious. The sasami (chicken tender) with ume shiso (pickled plum and perilla) that I always order was definitely a good choice. Each item was big and very filling. And tasty.

The yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) were all really good! I especially liked the tanuki. The only downside was that they had run out of shiitake (shiitake mushrooms), so I could only have it once, which was a shame. Definitely next time! Everyone I went with said they want to come back too!

Yagen nankotsu (chicken breast cartilage) has plenty of meat, and the crunchy bite of the cartilage when you chew is irresistible. Hinepon (ponzu dressed aged chicken) is a Himeji specialty, but each restaurant differs in how they cut and season the meat. The one here was cut into chunks and had a really great texture. I enjoyed every dish.
