Okinawa cuisine, agu-buta (Okinawan pork) shabu-shabu AGU-

Okinawa Ryori Agu Buta Shabu Shabu AGU- is an Okinawan restaurant located a 5-minute walk from Hisaya-odori Station in Naka Ward, Nagoya. Open until late at night, it is also a good choice for late-night visits.

The interior, with Okinawan music and J-pop playing, is said to be a bright and homey space.

They offer a wide range of dishes made with Agu buta (Okinawan native breed pork), and the “Agu buta shabu-shabu set” is also popular.

Agu buta, which melts in your mouth, is of course a highlight, and people also say the vegetables and tofu taste great. You can also order extra ingredients.

If you want to enjoy agu-buta (Okinawan Agu pork) in a healthier way, the "agu-buta no seiro-mushi (steamed in a bamboo basket)" is recommended.

By steaming agu-buta together with vegetables, the rich flavor of the meat soaks well into the vegetables. The extra fat drips below the seiro, so it tastes light and clean.

名古屋グルメ✳︎ぷにちゃん

Authentic Okinawan cuisine in a hideaway-like space in Sakae, Nagoya. I enjoyed carefully prepared dishes in a calm atmosphere☺️The recommendation has to be the Agu pork (Okinawan Agu pork) and shimakuru (Okinawan island black pork) shabu-shabu✨The rich flavor and the sweetness of the pork as it spread across the palate were amazing... In particular, the “shimakuru Chuck Eye Roll” is a must-order extra.

えむ直

The main dish that day was Agu buta (Okinawan Agu pork) shabu-shabu. The meat was tender, with a nice sweetness in the fat, and it was so good I wanted to keep eating it again and again. I also ordered a few other Okinawan dishes, and every one of them was seasoned just right, tasty, and left me feeling Manzoku. The service felt natural and relaxed, and they gave quick help whenever needed.

Sosaku Ryori to Houseki-nabe (jewel Hot Pot) Shabu-shabu Hosen

Sosaku Ryori to Hoseki-nabe (jewel Hot Pot) Shabu-shabu Hosen, directly connected to Nagoya Station in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, is a restaurant where you can enjoy a new style of shabu-shabu that breaks with the usual idea of it, using a suisho-nabe (crystal pot).

The interior is designed around the theme of “a clean and spacious setting,” and is said to have a stylish hideaway feel.

For the shabu-shabu, they use a pot made from 99% pure crystal, and the far-infrared effect is said to cook the ingredients gently and leave them tender.

For the broth, they use collagen-rich jelly and aosa (green laver) that is high in vitamin A, making this a great Hot Pot for anyone looking for a healthy option.

Several kinds of pork are available, and each one offers a different taste. There is also a course where you can compare them.

Yogurton (yogurt-fed pork) is tender and slightly sweet, while Yanbaru Agu (rare Okinawan pork) is said to be light and easy to enjoy with less fat.

ydゆこ

A gem-like Hot Pot served on crystal. A healthy Hot Pot with aonosa (green laver) and Japanese-style dashi broth! They also offer a great lineup of carefully selected pork, and I had the two recommended items with a tororo (grated yam) sauce, which was incredibly good. To finish, the kishimen (flat wheat noodles) and tororo rice came in a very easy-to-eat portion, which was nice❤️The staff’s service was also ❤️❤️❤️

食レポ日記

This hideaway-style buta-shabu (pork shabu-shabu) restaurant was Surprising once I stepped inside. The interior is stylish, almost like an Italian restaurant♪ I wondered what kind of buta-shabu would come out, and it went way beyond what I imagined. The aosa (green laver) and tororo (grated yam) add great flavor. At the end, you pour that tororo over rice and enjoy it as tororo gohan (rice topped with grated yam). The pork broth also comes through, and that makes it even tastier^_^

Yakumo

Yakumo, about a 1-minute walk from Shinsakaemachi Station in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, is a Japanese restaurant founded in 1961 that has been named one of the Tabelog Sukiyaki and Shabu-shabu 100.

Inside, a Japanese style space decorated with folk crafts spreads out, and you can enjoy your meal in an elegant atmosphere. It seems perfect for a Special day too.

For the shabu-shabu style susugi-nabe (lightly rinsed hot pot) enjoyed with their secret sesame sauce, they use carefully raised Domestic beef specially selected from around Japan.

They use only the center cut of the Spencer roll, and when you swish it through the broth before eating, you can enjoy a rich aroma and a clean, light taste.

Like the shabu-shabu, the sukiyaki is also popular. It is known for the great combination of Nagoya-style rich warishita (sukiyaki sauce) and the good flavor of the meat.

Another plus is that the staff carefully prepares it for you from start to finish, so you can focus on the conversation and the meal without worrying about the cooking.

ATSUSHI 1419

I had susugi-nabe (lightly swished hot pot). No matter how many times I go, it is always delicious. The atmosphere is also nice, and I can relax and enjoy my meal in a Private room, with great meat as well. If you want shabu-shabu, this is the place‼️From the Appetizers to the final dessert, everything is delicious.

箸が止まらんZ

This place is famous as the originator of shabu-shabu (Japanese hot pot), but the quality of the meat in the sukiyaki is just as impressive. It is tender, with refined sweetness in the fat, and you can enjoy it to the very end without getting tired of it. It is well suited not only for everyday meals, but also for Special occasions when you want to feel Manzoku.

I had the negimaki Beef Tongue shabu-shabu course at Yuno Bettei in the heart of Sakae. From the very first obanzai (Japanese small side dishes), there was a wide variety, and each one had a refined flavor✨The shabu-shabu, made with 30-day aged Beef Tongue wrapped with green onion, was especially outstanding! I also enjoyed changing up the flavors with three different sauces. The uni (sea urchin) meat sushi, lavishly topped with shaved black truffle, also made a big impression.

・Kagoshima Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef) Strip loin shabu-shabu course
The meat was so beautiful I couldn't help but let out a sound. I knew it would be good before I even took a bite! The fat was clean and sweet, and the meat had a texture that seemed to melt away neatly. This was amazing. There was nothing negative about it at all. Eating it as shabu-shabu really let me enjoy the best of the Strip loin cut to the fullest. I'm so glad I had it as shabu-shabu~!

ベニズワイガニ

As this place specializes in Nagoya Cochin (Nagoya Cochin chicken), I ordered the standard charcoal grilled chicken thigh three-way tasting. You can enjoy three Tokai jidori (local chicken breeds) at once: Nagoya Cochin, Ena-dori (chicken from Ena), and Okumikawa-dori (chicken from Okumikawa). They grill each one carefully over charcoal, bringing out both the nice smoky aroma and the full natural flavor of the chicken. Nagoya Cochin has a firm bite, and the more you chew, the deeper the flavor gets.

This is a hideaway for lamb lovers. And somehow, it is the kind of place that even people who are not that into lamb end up loving. The main dish, lamb shabu-shabu (Japanese hotpot), starts with a soup that feels like the star of the show. It looks clear, but one sip makes you go, “Wow, this is so good...” It has deep dashi richness and body, with zero off notes. Then, when you quickly swish the ude (shoulder) and tongue through it, the savory flavor spreads through your mouth.

Since it’s shabu-shabu (Japanese hotpot) All you can eat, it’s nice that you can eat as much of whatever you want as you like. I chose the course that includes both beef and pork. I had it with mala broth? and Wagyu broth.

hamutako

A restaurant in Meieki Gate Tower. I got curious when I passed by and decided to go in. You can choose two kinds of broth for the shabu-shabu (Japanese hotpot), and I picked plum and sukiyaki. I was glad that you can get free refills of eggs too. It also has a buffet with rice and curry, and some of the vegetables were ones I had never seen before, so it was fun to compare and try them.

Perfect for a special occasion or celebration is the "Hana-assortment Gyutan Shabu-shabu," where gyutan (beef tongue) is arranged to look like rose petals.

Last time it was yakiniku (Japanese grilled meat), so this time we went with shabu-shabu (Japanese hot pot)! It was my first time trying Beef Tongue shabu-shabu, but it was light and I could enjoy it even in the summer! The portion was just right, and I’d love to visit again if I get the chance.

I visited to eat Yakiniku, but the tan-shabu (beef tongue shabu-shabu) I ordered because it was unusual was very delicious! Being able to enjoy both Yakiniku and shabu-shabu felt very luxurious. Both were great, and I had no complaints at all! It was also nice that the calm atmosphere let me take my time and enjoy the meal.

I have visited several times, and the All you can eat shabu-shabu is good quality, so I also use it for business entertainment. The Private room is also quite spacious and comfortable, and there is no problem staying for a long time.

I went because I wanted to eat buta-shabu (pork shabu-shabu)✨I had a buta-shabu and gyu-shabu (beef shabu-shabu) course and ate a lot, so I was very satisfied. If you reserve a seat, they will show you to a Semi-private room, so it’s better to make a reservation if you want a seat where you can relax☺️
