You can choose the filling from pork, squid, octopus, or shrimp. It is said to be crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, and some reviews even say it is the best okonomiyaki they have ever had.

As usual, we ordered a glass of wine with each course dish. Every dish was excellent. The standout was the beef. It was cooked to perfection and absolutely amazing. On top of that, every wine they chose for us was delicious to begin with, and each one paired wonderfully with the food, lifting the overall level of flavor. The wine-loving couple dining with us had a fantastic time as well.

Tanpopo is a well-known spot just a 1-minute walk from Kitashinchi Station, where you can enjoy okonomiyaki (Japanese savory pancake) in a chic, modern space for adults. The batter is light and fluffy with a rich dashi aroma, and options like buta ika-dama (pork and squid okonomiyaki) and versions with cheese bring out the full flavor of the ingredients. The yakisoba (Japanese stir-fried noodles) also uses thin noodles for a light texture, and it pairs perfectly with beer or wine.

Above all, the kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef) steak puts on the best show, with flames from the flambé rising high right in front of you. Even in the prime location of Dotonbori (Osaka’s iconic entertainment district), they stay focused on flavor, and every dish also satisfies the eye! If I were recommending a place in Osaka, I would definitely recommend this one. The food is delicate, with gentle flavors. At the same time, the head chef’s outstanding skill and warm personality really stand out. I had a truly moving time here.

My friend took me here for my birthday for Kobe beef Teppan-yaki. It was my first time really eating Kobe beef. Besides the meat, they also had about four kinds of seafood, and you could order extra. I splurged on extra awabi (abalone), white fish, and hotate (scallop). Everything was great, but personally the awabi was large and especially good. The lychee dessert was unusual, and as a lychee lover, I was really happy.

I ordered the two-meat tasting comparison and asked for it medium rare. Both cuts were delicious and tender! The grilled vegetables were also really good! The steak sauce had a nice sweetness and was especially tasty! I changed the rice to garlic rice. That was definitely the right call too, and it was incredibly good!

The first chilled soup is so good you'll want a second helping. The Appetizers and seafood dishes are flawless. The filet is outstanding. They use very good garlic. The garlic rice was also good. They smoothly accommodated our requests as well. Even at lunch, you can enjoy the view from the 22nd floor. With this much volume at this price, it feels like a great deal.

They explained the ingredients, doneness, and cooking method, and the service was excellent. I would like to visit again for another special occasion.

I chose the Tenderloin. It should have had very little fat, but because the chef basted it with fat while cooking, I could really taste a nice level of rich fat flavor, and it was very delicious. The portion was a modest 80g, but that let me savor each bite, and it still felt very satisfying.

The interior has an antique, upscale feel, and they grilled the meat right in front of us. The meat was great of course, but the grilled vegetables—asparagus and tsurumurasaki (Malabar spinach)—were especially delicious(˶ᐢωᐢ˶)We paid an extra fee to change to garlic rice.

On the owner's recommendation, I first took a bite without adding anything. The filet was very moist and tender, with an elegant meaty flavor. Then the Strip loin. It had a fine textured tenderness that seemed to melt in my mouth, and it was juicy with a pleasant sweetness from the fat.

We went as a party of two and had the lunch special course. The hors d'oeuvre was beef sushi and was very tasty, and even though we came for Teppan-yaki, we were happy to get sushi too. The corn soup was cold and sweet, which felt nice and refreshing. The fish was tender and flaky, and we had the main meat dish cooked medium rare, which was really delicious.

・Casual Dinner Course
They grilled the Strip loin and Spencer roll right in front of us.・The Spencer roll had a real visual impact, and the rich flavor of the fat came through well.・Simple with wasabi and salt, or rich with the special sauce... both were equally good.

It is a steakhouse, but the seafood is also very good, and this time the itoyori (golden threadfin bream) sashimi tasted especially good. They also keep things interesting with touches like different seasoning from the usual for the omar ebi (lobster) and awabi (abalone), so you never get tired of it. This time the meat was Chateaubriand, and it was tender with rich flavor, delicious even with just salt.

コテコテグルメ

I went there for a birthday celebration. I chose the highest-grade course and upgraded it to Chateaubriand. The meal was very luxurious, with ozukuri (sashimi platter), abalone, and lobster Teppan-yaki. The main Chateaubriand was also outstanding.

・10000 course
Next came the grilled vegetables. Shishito peppers, eggplant, abalone mushroom, and pumpkin let us enjoy the vivid flavors of the vegetables. For the Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef) steak, we ordered half Strip loin and half Tenderloin. I liked the Strip loin with wasabi and Himalayan rock salt, but when I tried it with the poppy seeds the cook recommended, the flavor changed and it felt like another great combination at the same time.

The chef had a wonderful personality, and we were able to enjoy our meal all the way to the end. The hamburger in the middle had a big impact. The other dishes were all consistently delicious too! They let you choose the type of meat, but I recommend the Tenderloin!

Teppan-yaki Osaka

"Teppan Osaka" is a place where you can casually enjoy Special carefully selected meat, fish, and vegetables cooked Teppan-yaki style. It is located on Tatamiyacho-suji, about a 6-minute walk from both Osaka Metro Namba Station and Shinsaibashi Station.

The interior is a stylish space with stone walls and wood surfaces, with both counter and table seating available.

The popular counter seats are not only about great taste but also about the fun of watching, with plenty of excitement. You can enjoy your meal while watching the chefs work right in front of you, from Teppan-yaki cooking to searing and plating.

The "excellent Catalana" in the photo is a chilled dessert made by lightly torching the surface of custard cream until it turns into a fragrant caramelized layer.

The "Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef) hele steak (tenderloin steak)" is said to be soft and juicy, and it is the most popular steak on the menu. They finish the rare hele, a cut that makes up only about 3% of a whole cow, with low temperature cooking.

You eat it with three simple seasonings that let you fully enjoy the flavor of the meat: salt, wasabi, and sauce.

Each dish was prepared with great care, looked beautiful, and showed the chef’s attention to detail. It was very delicious‼︎ On top of that, the prices were reasonable and easy on the wallet, so the cost performance was excellent‼︎

赤星の食べ太郎

Of course the Teppan-yaki is great, but the shrimp and hirame (flounder) sashimi are also excellent. The one thing you absolutely have to try is the Sirloin cap steak, which is unbelievably tender, and you can enjoy it with a variety of sauces. The mentaiko (spicy cod roe) soba and curry rice to finish are also fantastic! There are too many things I want to eat in just one visit, so I keep coming back again and again!
