老舗の焼き鳥屋さんですが、新人の頃、会社の上司に連れられてお邪魔したのが最初です。もう四十年近く前ですが、上司は銀座勤務だったとき、一人でよく飲みに来たとのことで、たしかにお一人さんでも入りやすく、居心地の良いお店です。
有楽町での用事を済ませて、無性に焼き鳥を食べたくなったのですが、土曜日に営業している焼き鳥屋さんでも、夕方から店を開くところが多く悩みました。「鳥ぎん」さんが営業しているとのことで、早速に伺いましたが、ここでも外国人観光客の団体さんが・・・。時間をずらして再訪しました。
実に久しぶりの訪店で、これほど店内が美しくなっているとは、驚きました。うーん、イメージが違います。お客さんは圧倒的にシニアの方、それも女性客が多く、お一人で釜めしをゆったり食事をなさっている姿が散見されました。お店は大箱なので、急かされなくて良いですね。美味でボリュームのある釜めしが800円台で食べられるので、繁盛するのは当然ですね。
焼き鳥と釜めしを注文しようと思ったのですが、夜のことを考え、釜めしはパス、焼き鳥だけをオーダーしました。「焼き鳥盛り合わせ エンジョイコース」という八串もので、やや硬く冷えていたのは、少々残念でした。
焼き鳥とワインは今や定番なので、マコンヴィラージュやブルゴーニュブランのお勧めが掲示されていたのも、時代が変わったという印象ですね。
