The owner was very polite and easy to talk to. There was a VIP Private room at the back of the counter, and they showed us there. I ordered a gin and tonic made with Hakkaisan (Japanese sake). The lime came through strongly, and it was easy to drink. The atmosphere was nice, and I’d definitely like to come again.

I settled in at the end of the counter and had a gin and tonic from martini from negroni. The dryness of the martini was outstanding, and it was delicious. For my last drink, I had a gin and tonic with Echigo (a region in Japan)'s "YASO GIN." The botanical character was amazing.

The suika (watermelon) Salty Dog. It was refreshing and easy to drink. Well balanced and delicious. When I ordered a photogenic short cocktail, they asked whether I wanted warm tones or cool tones, and I asked for cool tones. They served a cocktail called Charles Jourdan. (I think it was made with gobo (burdock) liqueur and lychee liqueur.) The aroma and taste were both very good.

My latest obsession is seeing how many different flavors I can enjoy in a gin and tonic. Whenever I ask Faro, they always serve a gin and tonic that goes beyond my expectations. This time, even the tonic was unusual. I finished with Ichiro's Malt sherry cask straight. It was great again today.

I really liked how the Gimlet after the gin and tonic was smooth (there was a secret to taking the edge off), and the lid that keeps the peaty aroma of the whisky from escaping. I’m grateful to the kind master.
