I had the Premium nigiri lunch I had wanted to try after looking it up in advance, and my companion had three plates of the 3-type assortment. Nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch) was still incredibly tasty as always, and the sweet shrimp and crab were insanely good! It was a very Manzoku start to our Kanazawa trip. It was delicious!

ハルミランド

The nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch) in particular melted with rich, fine fat the moment it hit the mouth, spreading deep umami. Combined with the fragrant aroma from the aburi sear, it was a piece that really made you feel, “I made it to Kanazawa!” The many local fish on offer, which are hard to come by in central Tokyo, were all firm-fleshed and incredibly fresh.

Morimori Zushi Kanazawa Ekimae Ten

Morimori Zushi Kanazawa Ekimae Ten is a kaiten-zushi (conveyor belt sushi) restaurant directly connected to Kanazawa Station, on the 6th floor of Kanazawa Forus. It is said to be popular not only with tourists but also with locals because you can enjoy authentic nigiri-zushi (hand-formed sushi) at reasonable prices.

The dining room is spacious and bright. There are many seats, so it is also a good choice for group meals.

Along with the A la carte menu, there is a wide selection of assortment options, including three-item and five-item assortments. The "Kanazawa specialty nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch) three-item assortment" in the photo comes with nodoguro prepared as zuke and aburi.

It is rich and fatty, and said to be irresistibly delicious.

A popular topping, nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch), can also be enjoyed as jibuni (a local stew from Kanazawa), a regional dish of Kanazawa. Simmered slowly in a thick broth, the nodoguro is said to be packed with flavor.

The gasu ebi (gazami shrimp) Kara-age and Toyama tokusan (Toyama specialty) shiro ebi (white shrimp) kakiage are also popular.

テレッセ

Every piece was fresh and delicious. I ordered an assortment, and the tsubugai (whelk) and crab were especially good. I like namida-maki (wasabi roll), and this one really had a sharp kick that almost brought tears to my eyes. If you like namida-maki, you should definitely try it! It was also my first time having the set miso soup with umi-budo (sea grapes), and since they also offer it A la carte, I recommend that too.

ギャラガーリアム

All the sushi we had at Morimori Zushi was fresh and very delicious. The aburi nodoguro (seared blackthroat seaperch) and otoro (fatty tuna) were especially outstanding. The nodoguro was rich with fat, nicely aromatic from the searing, and had a melt-in-your-mouth kind of goodness. The otoro was also rich and very satisfying, and both were excellent.

・7 Recommended Picks Kaga Miyabi
A reasonably priced assortment set of local specialties unique to Kanazawa and Toyama. With a spot-on look and melt-in-your-mouth goodness, it goes great with both local sake and beer. The main well-known local specialties include shiroebi (white shrimp), nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch), buri (yellowtail), kani (crab), and aji (horse mackerel). As expected, fish from Hokuriku has a whole different level of rich fat and strong umami, making it deeply Manzoku.

I ordered the 11-piece set. As expected, the crab was excellent. I tried ika (squid) for the first time on a trip to Hokuriku, and it was rich and soft, easy to bite through, and very tasty. I was also happy that the miso soup was self-service with free refills. It had shrimp heads in it, and the miso soup really gave a sense of seafood from the sea.

The shari (sushi rice) is made with an original blend of rice from the Hokuriku region. The soy sauce used at the restaurant is Ono shoyu (soy sauce), a local Kanazawa variety with 400 years of history.

The plates, inspired by Kanazawa, have beautiful patterns and a look you can enjoy with your eyes as well.

At lunchtime, miso soup comes with most menu items. If you want to try seafood from Hokuriku, the Jimono Lunch is recommended.

Many reviews said the balance between the toppings and the sushi rice was good, with a refined taste.

This conveyor belt sushi spot uses lots of local ingredients, and everything is fresh with very high quality. The conveyor belt sushi places inside the station usually have long lines, but this one is just a 1- or 2-minute walk from the station, and I only had to wait a little even at lunchtime, so I recommend it. The buri (yellowtail) was especially good for the season.

This time, we also ordered local gasu-ebi (deep-water shrimp), shiro-ebi (white shrimp), and nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch). The gasu-ebi was very rich and packed with umami, the shiro-ebi stood out for its elegant sweetness and was outstanding. The nodoguro had plenty of fat and a melt-in-your-mouth kind of taste. I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to fully enjoy Kanazawa’s seafood.

A popular spot near Kanazawa Station where you can casually enjoy authentic sushi. Even though it is kaiten-zushi (conveyor belt sushi), the chefs carefully hand-form each piece one by one, and the freshness and high quality of the toppings really stand out. Another nice point is that orders placed on the touch panel arrive quickly, freshly made. They also have a great selection of Hokuriku-style toppings such as nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch) and bai-gai (whelk).

基本、チェーン店崇拝。

Since it was Saturday, the 10-piece sushi lunch was JPY1290, and it even came with fish bone miso soup. Every topping was incredibly good. I also ordered seared salmon and negitoro maguro (minced tuna with green onion). I can't believe all this was under 2,000円. I'm too happy‼️I'll be back‼️

There is a wide variety of toppings, and the white fish and squid are both really good. The ikura (salmon roe), uni (sea urchin), and negitoro (minced tuna with green onion) are also very satisfying. And then there is nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch). That was the best of all. One piece with just the right amount of fat, and very satisfying. It is right in the middle of a tourist area, but it still feels like you had proper sushi. It is also nice that you can quickly try a bit of everything. As one stop in the market, this is a very solid choice!

The sushi really delivered on Manzoku! Along with standout items like nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch), kani (crab), and amaebi (sweet shrimp), there were also plenty of classic gunkan picks like ikura (salmon roe), uni (sea urchin), and negitoro (minced fatty tuna with green onion)! I savored each piece one by one. It was a generous amount, but I still wanted more, so I ordered extra nianago (simmered conger eel) and zuke gunkan as well. These were also delicious and melted in my mouth.

ぽ311

There are various sushi sets, and you order by writing your choices on paper. A la carte orders are also available. Every topping was delicious, but the hikari-mono (silver skinned fish) trio and the tuna were especially amazing, so good that they were moving! This is a place I would love to visit again if I go to Kanazawa.

おぎなび

The nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch) was outstanding. It was my first time trying it, so I’m not really sure whether JPY600 per piece is a good deal, but I was moved either way. With every bite, the clean rich fat and the fragrant notes from the sear came through, and it made me so happy. There are not many foods that can move you this much in just one bite. After resetting my palate with boiled geso (squid legs), I ordered another piece of nodoguro.

Kanazawa specialties like nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch) and Noto fugu (pufferfish from Noto) are popular. The photo shows the recommended menu item, the “Kanazawa Hyakumangoku assortment.”

The pairing of the lightly colored sushi and the beautifully patterned plate is lovely too.

Kanazawa’s famous kaiten-zushi (conveyor belt sushi)!! The aburi nodoguro (seared blackthroat seaperch) was insanely good! I was happy they had lots of local toppings too! The honmaguro (bluefin tuna) comparison platter was also amazing! The ara-jiru (fish head soup) had plenty of meat on the bones too!

Since I wanted to keep lunch light, I ordered only the toppings I like. The limited quantity gasu ebi (pink shrimp) was sweet, sticky, and delicious. The kappa-maki (cucumber roll) made with Special nori (seaweed) had a rich seaweed aroma and a nice crisp bite. The kobako-gani (female snow crab) toriyasai, buri toro (fatty yellowtail), sawara (Spanish mackerel), bai-gai (whelk), and amaebi (sweet shrimp) were all great too.

Cazzdayo

Start with nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch). The moment it hits your mouth, its fine fat melts and the rich umami, fitting for the king of white fish, spreads across your palate. Next is otoro (fatty tuna belly). The sweetness of the fat, which melts at body temperature, blends beautifully with the shari (vinegared sushi rice) as it gently loosens.

Source:Cazzdayo's review

I had the Yokozuna Lunch (JPY1,518). It was a filling lunch with 15 pieces✨Every topping, including bonito, negitoro (minced tuna with scallions), sweet shrimp, yellowtail, and salmon, was fresh and tasty. The arajiru (fish bone soup), free for up to 2 bowls, was also good and really warmed my cold body. It was a sushi lunch with both taste and portion size that left me very Manzoku, so I’d like to come back and have it again☺︎

The restaurant is located in the suburbs of Kanazawa City. The parking lot is spacious. It gets crowded even on weekdays. This time, I had to wait a little. I think it’s a good idea to make a reservation before you go. The interior is spacious. There are many families dining here. This time, they were holding a katsuo (bonito) fair. It was delicious.

You sit at the counter and order on a touch panel, and the plates are brought over on a conveyor belt. As you would expect from a new restaurant. I had things like Spear Squid and buratoro, and maybe because it was winter, the flesh was firm and I enjoyed them very much.
