Wagyu Yakiniku

Wagyu Yakiniku Wa, a 6-minute walk from Kita-Okazaki Station, is a popular spot known for serving high-quality Yakiniku made with Special Domestic beef.

The interior is chic and stylish, and it also has fully private rooms. Locals say it is the kind of place they visit as a treat on a reward day, with a Special feel.

The Yakiniku centers on A5-rank Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef). The selection is wide, from lean cuts and marbled cuts to Horumon. Rather than focusing on brands, their skilled meat specialist carefully chooses Special cuts in the best condition that day.

They cut the meat to order, and give each cut the right preparation to match the part.

The popular dish is "Premium Strip loin yaki-suki served with egg yolk and truffle." The thinly sliced meat is coated in a sweet and savory sauce, with egg and rice sandwiched inside.

This is a fusion dish inspired by sukiyaki, blending it with Japanese cuisine. The sweet fat and the richness of the egg are said to fill your mouth with a luxurious flavor.

The luxurious assortment of rare cuts Flap meat, Sirloin cap, Top sirloin, plus fresh tongue and thick-cut tongue really gets you excited!!The Top sirloin in particular is amazingly tender and absolutely delicious, and with every bite you will keep saying how good it is. The fresh tongue has a nice moderate thickness and is light and easy to eat, while the thick-cut tongue has a satisfying bite and is tasty in a different way♪

It’s also great that you can compare different tongue cuts, and I love that the large plate assortment gives you one slice each of various cuts! The assortment even comes with chateaubriand! It’s also the best that you get to eat tongue one more time in the second half.

Shinise Seinikuten Chokusou Okazaki Yakiniku Hida Gyu no Dorei Okazaki Ten

Located a 10-minute walk from Kita-Okazaki Station, Roshiseinikutenchokusou Okazaki Yakiniku Hidagyu no Dorei Okazaki Ten is a Yakiniku restaurant specializing in Hidagyu (Hida beef) from Gifu Prefecture.

The restaurant has Sunken kotatsu seating where you take off your shoes before sitting down, so you can relax and enjoy your meal.

The Hida-gyu (Hida beef) delivered directly from the butcher is known for its fine marbling and rich yet not heavy fat, giving it a texture that is perfect for Yakiniku.

It seems the best way to enjoy it is simply with wasabi or salt. They also serve rare cuts in thick slices without holding back.

The "Special thick cut salted Beef Tongue" has a great reputation for its outstanding freshness, since they source it without ever freezing it. Even though it is thick cut, it is tender, and its clean bite comes from that freshness.

It has no off notes at all, and people say it is wonderful how the natural sweetness of the Beef Tongue stands out.

Of course the meat was great, and we also enjoyed every side dish and even the finishing dishes, but the lean cuts were especially outstanding! There is a wide variety, so part of the fun is finding the cut that suits your taste best.

I was very Manzoku with the quality of the meat♡The negi-tan (beef tongue with green onion) had just the right thickness, with a nice bite but still tender enough to chew through easily, which really impressed me!The gyu-nigiri (beef nigiri) seared right in front of us also had a nice kick of black pepper and was very tasty!

Souru Karubi Okazaki Honten

"Soul Karubi Okazaki Honten" is a Yakiniku restaurant about a 10-minute walk from Mutsuna Station, serving mainly Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef).

The biggest feature of the Yakiniku here is that you do not need dipping sauce—you grill the meat and eat it as is.

They also offer a wide range of Korean à la carte dishes.

The interior is spacious, with a relaxed setting that can also accommodate Banquet gatherings.

The meat is marinated in a secret hand-rubbed sauce that has been passed down through generations before being served. After grilling, you do not need to add anything, so you can enjoy the meat’s natural flavor.

The rub is homemade with Okazaki’s local specialty, Hatcho miso (soybean miso). The fermented rice koji is said to bring out the meat’s tenderness as much as possible.

The popular “Shin Special Lunch” lets you try many kinds of meat in small portions. It comes with a lavish assortment of 7 popular cuts, including karubi (short rib), Outside skirt, and tongue.

It also comes with kimchi, namul (seasoned vegetable side dishes), and a mini chijimi (Korean pancake). You can get refills of rice and soup, so it offers excellent Manzoku.

The house-made sauce worked into the meat is also excellent. The more it grills, the more fragrant it becomes, bringing out the full flavor of the premium kalbi (Korean-style short rib). It balances well with the sweetness of the fat, so it stays tasty to the last bite without feeling heavy.

The Premium Loin, Premium Kalbi, and samgyeopsal were all the best Yakiniku I’ve had recently. The secret to how good they are is the meat itself and this restaurant’s sauce!

Wakan Yakiniku Ilso Ilro

"Wakan Yakiniku Ilso Ilro" is a Yakiniku restaurant located in the commercial complex "Aeon Town Okazaki Miai" in Miai-cho, Okazaki City. It is popular for serving A5 Miyazaki beef and authentic Korean food.

Since it is located inside a shopping center, it tends to attract many families and groups, giving it a bright and relaxed atmosphere.
The spacious seating layout and strong sense of privacy are also well received.

They mainly use A5-grade Miyazaki-gyu (Miyazaki beef). This leading Japanese brand of beef from Miyazaki Prefecture contains plenty of umami and is known for the rich flavor of its fat.

The "Nama Tan Shio" in the photo is shipped fresh without being frozen, so its freshness is outstanding. Its crisp, springy bite when you chew is said to be the real appeal of fresh beef tongue.

They also offer a set menu available only at lunchtime. This is the Appetizers served with the "Zeitaku Course Lunch."

In a transparent drawer, prosciutto salad and buns are laid out in a colorful presentation. You can enjoy all the standard menu highlights at once, including popular meat cuts and cold noodles to finish the meal.

The restaurant’s recommended nomeru karubi ("drinkable" short rib) and fresh tongue are both really good, and personally I highly recommend the spicy noodles‼️The nicely spicy and tasty soup comes with chewy noodles and lots of chunky meat, making it very satisfying

kaki chan

The all-white interior feels clean and has a very calm atmosphere. There are many kinds of lunch options, and I had the popular Yakiniku lunch platter. I got to enjoy three kinds of meat—tongue, roast, and short rib—and every one of them was tender and really delicious.

Yakiniku Wagin

Wagyu Yagin is an authentic Yakiniku restaurant that serves Special Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef) with a focus on quality over quantity. It has a chic and calm interior, creating a refined space for adults to gather. The setting is said to be quiet and comfortable for dining.

It is a hidden gem located a 10-minute walk from Kita-Okazaki Station, just one street in from the main road.

They use only Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black Wagyu), carefully sourced with freshness, marbling, and tenderness as top priorities. You can enjoy it in a light way with lightly seasoned sauce, wasabi, or ponzu sauce.

The "nama-tan (fresh beef tongue)" is especially popular. It is said to have a melt-in-your-mouth tenderness, with rich umami spreading across your palate.

"Honki no Tan Shabu" is a menu item you can enjoy in a shabu-shabu style, with a Hot Pot filled with dashi broth set on a Teppan-yaki griddle. You quickly swish the meat through the broth for a light and refreshing dish.

The standard way to eat it is wrapped with green onion and topped with yuzu kosho (yuzu pepper paste). That simple good taste really stands out, apparently.

腹ペコ星人

What stood out was the nama-tan (fresh beef tongue). It was served in thick slices, and it looked luxurious from the start. Once grilled and eaten in one bite, it had a firm texture, but the more you chewed, the more flavor came through, making it a very satisfying dish.

タロ活

What stood out most that day were the thick cut premium fresh tongue and the Outside skirt. The thick cut premium fresh tongue had a solid thickness yet was surprisingly easy to bite through, and the moment you took a bite, its high quality umami spread across your mouth.

Tonchan Tei

Tonchantei is a Yakiniku restaurant about a 3-minute walk from Higashi Okazaki Station, where you grill a wide variety of meat over a shichirin (charcoal brazier).

The restaurant is filled with the lively sounds of customers having a good time, and it has a fun taishu sakaba (casual izakaya) kind of atmosphere. It is also equipped with roasters that help reduce smoke.

Yakiniku tastes even better with their carefully made sauce. The recommended choice is the “spicy miso tare (spicy miso sauce),” and it is said to be so addictive that it makes you want more rice.

They offer a wide range of cuts, from standard choices to harder to find ones. Many people also enjoy tongue and Outside skirt as snacks with drinks.

They also have a full lineup of rich Horumon dishes that go perfectly with drinks. One of the most popular is "Tonchan," a pork Horumon dish. It is said to be excellent with its bold seasoning.

For drinks, they also offer All you can drink with course meals only. There is a wide variety, including whisky drinks and shochu (Japanese distilled spirit).

deliちゃん

The place is very lively, but the few counter seats have a calm feel that makes them great for a relaxed drink☺︎I had makgeolli (Korean rice wine) for the first time in a while, and with its low alcohol content it was as easy to drink as juice and really tasty♪

We had the famous tonchan (grilled pork offal), tender kalbi, Outside skirt, and bacon. The tonchan was as tasty as kotetchan (seasoned grilled offal). My favorites were the Outside skirt and the tender kalbi.

Daitoen Okazaki Ten

Daitoen Okazaki Ten is a Yakiniku restaurant with a long history of more than 60 years since its founding. You can enjoy Special kuroge wagyu (Japanese Black Wagyu) with their traditional fruit-based sauce.

The restaurant is popular for its gorgeous atmosphere, where you can relax and enjoy your meal. It also has zashiki (tatami seating), making it easy to use for all kinds of occasions.

There is a wide range of menu items to enjoy at lunch. The "Daitoen Kalbi Lunch" is a filling set that comes with salad, soup, dessert, and more.

The main dish, "kuroge Wagyu kalbi (Japanese Black Wagyu short ribs)," uses Satsuma Nishiki Gyuu from Kagoshima Prefecture, and is known for its melt in your mouth texture and sweetness.

This is the kimchi, a house staple passed down since the restaurant first opened. The key is its deep savory richness, and they are particular about keeping the heat at just the right level. It also pairs well with Yakiniku and alcohol.

They also offer many rice dishes like bibimbap and gukbap, so the menu goes well beyond just meat.

nyant456

The dipping sauce was fruity and on the sweet side, but it was still very good even without it. There was plenty of rice, and with the salad, soup, and kimchi that was not too spicy, it was a filling and tasty meal. The service was also polite, and it is the kind of place I would like to visit again. It was a great meal.

We had kalbi (marinated short rib), tongue, Horumon, Mountain chain tripe, tail soup, bibimbap, and more. The kalbi was nicely coated in the sauce, and the meat was tender and tasty. It had that reliably good flavor. The Horumon was surprisingly the best dish and a real hit, with great chemistry between the rice and sauce. With this, I could easily go for 3 bowls of rice.

Taishu Horumon・Yakiniku Enriki Higashiokazaki Ekimae Ten

This Yakiniku restaurant is in a convenient location just a 1-minute walk from Higashi-Okazaki Station. It draws many locals who come for its famous Beef Tongue dish, toro-tan (rich, tender Beef Tongue).

Loved since 1976, the restaurant has a friendly, lively atmosphere inside. It is also a great fit for group visits.

The "toro-tan (rich beef tongue)" is seasoned using the restaurant's own method. Since it is served without being frozen, it is said to be very fresh. Some reviews also say the thin slices and melt-in-your-mouth texture are especially appealing.

Because it is already salted, it is said to taste great even without adding anything.

The kalbi is said to be packed with so much fat that flames rise up when you grill it. They also offer a wide range of meats, including Outside skirt and Horumon, so you can enjoy the meal without getting bored.

They also have a wide variety of alcoholic drinks, including beer, shochu, and Japanese sake. Many people enjoy them together with the meat.

The toro-tan (rich beef tongue) really is delicious. I feel like I could eat as much of it as I want. The inside is compact, and the seats are packed in close, so the next table felt nearby. Maybe because it was cherry blossom viewing season, the place was very lively. It was a great meal.

Sophia

The Beef Tongue is so good! I was impressed by the quality, which is hard to believe for a chain restaurant! The Beef Tongue here has a strong flavor (quite salty), so it goes really well with rice! I did not really like the moyashi namuru (seasoned bean sprout namul) because the sourness was too strong for my taste! The oi-kimchi (cucumber kimchi) is really delicious every time, and I can easily finish a whole plate!! This has become a place I want to visit at least once a year!

Don’t underestimate it just because it’s a chain restaurant, all the meat is tender and delicious. I especially liked the Kanki no Outside skirt steak, which was juicy and full of flavor. I enjoyed it far more than I expected. It was a great meal.
