Shabu-shabu Sukiyaki All you can eat Wagyu and Pork Sanjo Kawaramachi Ten

Shabu Shabu Sukiyaki All you can eat Wagyu to Buta Sanjo Kawaramachi Ten, about a 6-minute walk from Kyoto-Kawaramachi Station, is a restaurant where you can enjoy Satsuma Nishiki Gyu and Nangoku Mugi Buta as shabu-shabu (Japanese hotpot) or sukiyaki.

Located on the 9th floor of a building, the interior has a chic and grown-up feel. At dinner time, you can fully enjoy your meal while looking out over Kyoto’s beautiful night view.

The shabu-shabu in the “All you can eat” course to fully enjoy top-grade Japanese Black Wagyu Satsuma Nishiki-gyu (Special loin / belly) and Nangoku Mugi Buta (barley-fed pork from the south) is popular.

You can compare different cuts of Satsuma Nishiki-gyu (Japanese Black Wagyu from Kagoshima), and Nangoku Mugi Buta also comes in a wide variety of cuts. You can fully enjoy the differences in flavor.

Just like the shabu-shabu, the sukiyaki (Japanese hot pot cooked in sweet soy broth) is also very popular.

The refined warishita (sukiyaki sauce) brings out the good flavors of the meat and vegetables. The All you can eat course also includes rice, so some people top the rice with sukiyaki and enjoy it as a "sukiyaki Rice bowl."

Satsuma Nishiki gyu (Satsuma Nishiki beef) has beautiful marbling and a soft texture that melts the moment it hits your mouth. Nangoku Mugi Buta (Nangoku barley-fed pork) has sweet fat and pairs great with both shabu-shabu and sukiyaki. The vegetable assortment was also generous, and we fully enjoyed everything through to the finishing udon. It also came with kushikatsu (deep-fried skewers), which was a nice touch for adding some variety to the flavors.

This was my first time having such delicious All you can eat shabu-shabu. I got excited seeing the meat, arranged so beautifully it almost felt too good to eat(^^)It was light and easy to enjoy, so I could eat plenty! The vegetables were fresh, and every regular dish was very tasty too. The food came quickly, the staff were kind, and I had a Manzoku time enjoying it while looking out at the beautiful night view.

NOB diary

For the shabu-shabu meat, the first dish was premium marbled Beef Tongue❣️We enjoyed it with lemon salt, plum salt, and wasabi salt. Next was the Special Wagyu Tenderloin❣️The Tenderloin was cut a little thicker than regular shabu-shabu meat. Each slice was large, tender, and very tasty(˶ˊᵕˋ˵)

I didn’t take any photos of the food, but the dashi (broth) pork shabu-shabu was great! Adding lots of negi (green onion), then wrapping the vegetables with the pork and eating them together felt fresh and tasted great! To finish, I also had the udon, eating it with curry powder sprinkled over the dashi, and the firm udon was really good, plus the staff were very nice!

This shabu-shabu (thinly sliced meat swished in broth) is eaten by lightly dipping the meat in the broth, then wrapping it around a huge pile of negi (Japanese leek). This way of eating it is the best! You can keep eating meat forever. It made me want to copy this at home the next time I make shabu-shabu and prepare a huge pile of negi. The staff all offered warm, heartfelt hospitality, which made the place very comfortable.

Kyoto Tsuyu Shabu CHIRIRI Honten

Kyoto Tsuyu Shabu CHIRIRI Honten is a Japanese restaurant specializing in shabu-shabu, located on Muromachi Street on the west side of Kyoto Gyoen (Kyoto Imperial Palace Park).

The restaurant occupies a renovated machiya (traditional townhouse) over 100 years old, creating a Japanese modern space with generously arranged seating where guests can enjoy their meal while looking out onto the inner garden, which changes with the seasons.

When you swish the pork through the special dashi broth, the savory flavor of the broth and the natural sweetness of the pork spread through your mouth.

To finish the shabu-shabu, soba noodles are served, so you can enjoy a filling meal to the very end.

After swishing the meat in the Hot Pot, you add the noodles to the pot, boil them, and enjoy them. People say the aroma of the soba really stands out and makes it taste even better.

桜梅桃李2025

It was my first time trying shabu-shabu served with broth. Kyoto Pork, vegetables with matsutake (matsutake mushroom), and Omi beef. I thought it tasted a bit like a slightly strong soba dipping sauce, and then the final course was Japanese soba noodles. The soba was really delicious too. The side dish was tempura with matsutake, nagori hamo (pike conger at the end of the season), and sweet potato. This was also very good.

Kyo-machiya (traditional Kyoto townhouse) Kamo Shabu Sora

Kyomachiya Kamoshabu Sora is a shabu-shabu restaurant in Minami Ward, Kyoto City, across from Toji (To-ji Temple).

The charming interior, created by renovating a machiya (traditional Kyoto townhouse), has a stylish and calm atmosphere. With plenty of space between seats, you can relax, chat, and enjoy your meal.

The popular menu item "kamo shabu Hot Pot (duck shabu-shabu hot pot)" is enjoyed by adding plenty of green onion to a soup rich with duck broth, then swishing the duck meat through it.

Adding sliced burdock root partway through brings more aroma and lets you enjoy a change in flavor, too.

In addition to shabu-shabu, they also offer a wide range of a la carte dishes such as kamo roast (roasted duck), dashimaki (Japanese rolled omelet), and renkon chips (lotus root chips).

Among them, the popular Toji-age (deep-fried yuba-wrapped seafood and other ingredients), which wraps items like shrimp, hamo (pike conger), and kaki (oysters) in yuba, is especially popular! It also makes a perfect snack to go with drinks.

The signature kamo-shabu (duck shabu-shabu) turned tender when quickly dipped into the rich broth full of duck flavor, and enjoyed with Kyo-yasai (Kyoto vegetables), it had a great seasonal feel and tasted excellent.

勇太朗のパパ

The original nikujaga korokke (meat and potato croquette) we ordered as an Appetizer was unexpectedly good and creamy. Kamo-shabu (duck shabu-shabu) can be divisive because of the duck’s distinctive flavor, but since you eat it with plenty of green onion and gobo (burdock root), there were hardly any off notes, the meat was tender, and the broth had great depth.

The kamo-zushi (duck sushi) served in the course is said to be outstanding.

The carefully cooked duck loin has no off notes at all, and the more you chew, the more you can taste the sweetness of the duck fat. Some reviews even said it was so good they could eat 10 pieces of it!

The kamo roast duck breast, seseri (neck meat), and thigh were all full of flavor and very good. The zosui (rice porridge) to finish was also excellent, with plenty of egg that blended well with the duck fat. The atmosphere in the restaurant was calm, so we could enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace.

I had kamo-shabu (duck hotpot) for the first time! The only way to describe it is delicious. The à la carte dishes were tasty too, and of course the duck was great, but the vegetables were also really good. I was full, but the To finish zosui (rice porridge) was so tasty that even though I said I would just have a little, I ended up eating it properly (lol). I’d love to visit again the next time I go to Kyoto.

There were several Hot Pot courses, but I ordered the standard buta-shabu (pork shabu-shabu) course. The loin had a nice springy texture, and the belly had an excellent balance of fat that was neither too rich nor too lean, which was great!

For the shabu-shabu broth, you can choose 2 types from a total of 9, including "Sandaime Kiwami Dashi (third-generation signature broth)" and "Wagyu broth".

Here, the choices are the rich "tonyu dashi (soy milk broth)," so thick that yuba (tofu skin) forms on top, and the mildly spicy, full-bodied "umakara hinabe dashi (spicy Hot Pot broth)." Since the flavors are different, you can enjoy comparing how the meat and vegetables taste in each one.

They talk with farmers and specially source a carefully selected lineup of vegetables that go well with shabu-shabu.

Rather than sticking to one production region, they are particular about serving the most delicious vegetables of the season. If you choose the All you can eat course, you can enjoy not only the meat but also their carefully chosen vegetable assortment with All you can eat as well.

We ordered the All you can eat menu, and the dishes we ordered kept coming one after another. The staff were polite, and each one greeted us properly. We had a tasty and comfortable time, and we are very satisfied. I would like to visit again. It was a great meal.

新城 千奈

I went with pork and tongue shabu-shabu★ For the soup, I chose 〖rich Tonyu-dashi (soy milk broth)〗 and 〖sukiyaki-dashi (sukiyaki broth)〗❤️ Since I could have both shabu-shabu and sukiyaki♡♡The touch-panel ordering system lets you choose at your own pace♪♪The vegetables were fresh, and the meat looked beautiful❣️The tsumire (minced fish balls) was tasty too♡
