Teppan-yaki Tenyu

"Teppan Tenyu" is a restaurant located just steps from Shinjuku Station, where you can enjoy Special Teppan-yaki made with Wagyu and vegetables carefully selected from across Japan.

The counter seats let you enjoy the cooking up close along with the view from the 45th floor. It is also ideal for special days such as birthdays and other celebrations.

The Wagyu steak served as the main dish of the course is said to be outstanding in every way, from the doneness and aroma to the tenderness, and you can really tell it was cooked with great care.

It comes with salt, wasabi, garlic chips, and more, so it is nice that you can enjoy changing up the flavors as you eat.

The most popular lunch course, "Tenhiko," is a great choice because you can enjoy both Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black Wagyu) and seafood dishes.

The Sea Bream in the photo has a flaky texture, and the aosa (green laver) sauce and maitake (hen of the woods mushroom) butter coat it well, making it really great.

Pandora Nishiguchi Ten

Pandora Nishiguchi Ten is a long loved Teppan-yaki restaurant in Shinjuku, with more than 50 years of history since it first opened. You can enjoy top quality steaks made with carefully selected ingredients.

The interior, with black as its main tone, is said to strike a perfect balance between lively energy and elegance. It seems like a great choice for all kinds of occasions.

The restaurant’s signature dish is the “Pandora Steak.” This dish uses Hanging tender, a cut said to bring out the full flavor of the meat, and cuts it into easy-to-eat cube-shaped pieces.

Though it is mainly lean meat, it is tender and juicy, and the more you chew, the more you can taste the rich flavor of the meat.

Another appealing point of this restaurant is its extensive lunch menu. You can load up on protein with hearty meat dishes.

The interior had a classic atmosphere! The steaks grilled on the large Teppan-yaki plate were thick cut and big, and cooked just right! They were super tender and juicy, and even in the second half after they had cooled a little, they never got tough and stayed delicious to the last bite!

A great pairing of good wine and good food. I had glasses of wine matched to the meal. The chef who took care of us apparently trained at a well-known hotel and originally worked as a French chef. The chef’s movements at the Teppan-yaki station were beautiful, which made the meal all the more enjoyable.

The moist cabbage and Chinese noodles go perfectly with the sauce, letting you enjoy an authentic local taste.

Kobe Beef Wagyu no Katana Nishi-Shinjuku 1-go Ten

Kobe Beef Wagyu no Katana Nishi-Shinjuku 1-go Ten is a popular restaurant where you can enjoy Kobe beef, known as one of Japan’s three great Wagyu brands, right in Shinjuku, Tokyo.

The staff cook the steaks right in front of you, and they are said to be not only skilled but also great at creating a fun atmosphere. Even if you are not used to Teppan-yaki, you can relax and enjoy it.

The appeal of the "Kobe Beef Steak" is that you can choose from various cuts, including Strip loin, filet, and Chateaubriand.

Not only is it melt-in-your-mouth delicious, but the quality is said to be high across the board, from the staff's performance to their service.

To finish the course, you can change it to "garlic rice" by paying an additional fee.

You can also enjoy watching the process until it is cooked on the Teppan-yaki right in front of you, so you can enjoy the course all the way to the very end.

The friend I took there was really happy! I was also glad that the Kobe beef course let us try various cuts!! The staff grilling the meat also gave very good service, and we had a great time.
