They offer various types of seating, including counter seats where you can watch the cooking and tatami rooms with Sunken kotatsu seating. It looks like a convenient place to use for different occasions.

The "sashimi moriawase (sashimi assortment)," made with fresh fish caught that morning, is a beautifully presented dish that you can enjoy with your eyes as well.

The thick-cut slices let you fully enjoy the fish’s rich flavor, and they also pair perfectly with Japanese sake.

The "sumibiyaki (charcoal grilling)" here is a nice touch, as they carefully grill and serve fish you do not usually come across.

The photo shows the popular "kinki (channel rockfish)." The flesh is tender, with just the right amount of fat, and is said to be excellent.

The sashimi assortment was gorgeous and delicious! I was happy they had fish you do not often see, like kue (longtooth grouper) and ara (Japanese wreckfish)!! For robatayaki (fireside grilling), I chose kamasu (barracuda). It was grilled slowly, and the flesh was tender and flaky, so good.

The otoshi (small appetizer served at the start) was delicious and got us excited for the meal. The restaurant had a warm, relaxed feel centered around the friendly owner. The seafood was fresh and tasty across the board. It became a place I’d like to visit again. It was a great meal.

The ginshari omusubi (rice ball made with premium white rice), which is said to be excellent when dipped in the sauce from the "bone-in grilled chicken thigh," is a perfect dish To finish.

Because this omusubi has a simple flavor with just salt, it really lets the good taste of the ingredients stand out.

・Grilled chicken thigh on the bone
The piping hot thigh has crisp skin and juicy meat inside. The mildly spicy seasoning comes through nicely, and the savory aroma and rich flavor fill your mouth. It is also recommended to dip the cabbage in the sauce before eating. They also provide paper aprons and paper napkins, which makes it nice to really dig in!

Source:★ひめこ★'s review

The interior feels clean, with counter and table seating, and a layout that lets you enjoy watching the cooking over the open kitchen. However, because it is so popular, it is often crowded, and some say that without a reservation you may end up with standing room only. Overall, this is an appealing place that chicken dish lovers will definitely want to keep on their list, with a good balance of food, service, and atmosphere.

Once again tonight, I was very satisfied with the delicious fish and drinks. They also carefully explained the Japanese sake, and I really enjoyed it and left very satisfied. I’m happy that the friends who came with me enjoyed it too. I’d like to visit again around the time the seasons change to enjoy the seasonal specialties.

The seafood menu is extensive, and the sashimi is nice and plump. As you would expect from a Niigata-ryori (Niigata cuisine) restaurant, they also have a wide selection of Japanese sake, so both the drinks and the food go down easy. The buri-shabu (yellowtail hotpot) we came for is of course delicious, so good that it makes you want to finish every last drop of the broth. I also recommend ending with soba (buckwheat noodles) for a light and refreshing finish.

Since it was my first time trying ginger dishes, I chose the ginger course. The first potage soup was excellent. It was creamy with a light ginger flavor, and the corn made a nice accent. The other dishes were good too. Many of the drinks also had ginger in them, and they were all tasty. The staff were also very pleasant, so I recommend this place.

The staff bring a lively energy, and the place is always bustling, but they still make sure you can keep your own space, so it feels very comfortable and makes you want to stay for a long time. Every dish is very good, but the recommendation is yakitori (grilled chicken skewers). You can tell from the taste that each skewer is grilled with great care!

The exterior has a great atmosphere and looks lovely. At first glance, the inside may look small, but it extends far back, making it a great place for a Banquet as well. The food is served one plate per person, and while the skewers come out together, they are beautifully arranged and show real care. Nagasaki Hojubuta (Nagasaki Hojubuta pork) loin! The far infrared effect of the lava makes the meat plump and juicy, while the extra fat seeps into the lava, making it very healthy, and in no time it slowly changes color and turns wonderfully tender and delicious. It is also tasty wrapped in daikon radish!

The sashimi was very fresh and delicious, and the kakuni manju (steamed bun with braised pork belly), a Nagasaki specialty, was excellent. The house specialty Hojubuta pork dishes are also recommended. The tempura came out freshly fried and crisp, and the udon to finish had a gentle flavor, so I was very satisfied.

Sumibi Kushiyaki Kemuri Kichijoji

Sumibi Kushiyaki Kemuri Kichijoji is a yakitori izakaya in a great location with excellent access from Kichijoji Station. The restaurant shows a strong commitment to ingredients, even changing the brand of chicken depending on the cut.

You can also enjoy the dynamic cooking action from the open counter, so it is a good pick when you want a memorable dinner time.

The restaurant’s recommended item is the yakitori (grilled chicken skewer) "liver," which apparently goes perfectly with beer. Grilled over charcoal until plump and tender, the liver has a creamy taste with no off notes.

Besides that, the yakitori menu offers various cuts such as "Heart" and "tsukune (chicken meatball skewer)" available A la carte, and if you are not sure what to choose, the assortment with several kinds of yakitori is also recommended.

The "yaki-onigiri (grilled rice ball)" with its striking round shape is said to be a great match of nicely toasted rice and the rich sweetness of butter.

You can also enjoy the performance of melting the butter over charcoal, so it looks like it would be a fun order To finish a drinking party.

It has an atmosphere that makes it easy to stop by even for first time visitors. The dining room feels lively without being too loud, making it a versatile spot that works well for meals with friends or after work! The yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) is also high quality, and the prices are reasonable. This is a great place when you want to grab a quick drink in Kichijoji, but still want to eat something really good. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Even the otoshi (small appetizer served at the start) was delicious〜! The yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), vegetables, and snack dishes were all really good. Each yakitori skewer was large and substantial, so it felt very satisfying◎I usually get a bit nervous at counter seats, but...the staff were cheerful, kind, and easy to talk to, so I had a really fun meal. It’s a place I’d love to visit again!

I was extremely satisfied with the Beef Tongue! The staff were also very friendly, and I really enjoyed the meal. The items I especially kept coming back for were the uni tan sushi and the thick-cut Beef Tongue. I ate more than 5 rounds of them, and they were so good I felt like I could eat them forever!

・Beef Tongue three-assortment platter
The colorful presentation is beautiful, and it is also fun to change up the flavor with the flower garnish and lemon. It makes you think, “I had no idea Beef Tongue could have so many different sides to it.” This is such a luxurious set that gives you three kinds of enjoyment on one plate. It pairs perfectly with drinks too. You really cannot go wrong with a highball, lemon sour, or Japanese sake.
