Junkettou Uruma Agu (purebred Uruma Agu pork) Shabu-Shabu Kinton Kokusai-dori Ten

Kinuton, "Junketto Uruma Agu Shabu Shabu Kinton," offers courses of shabu-shabu made with Special Agu pork and other ingredients carefully selected from Okinawa Prefecture.

The stylish and calm interior has table seating throughout. It is about a 7-minute walk from Kencho-mae Station, located on the 2nd and 3rd floors of a building on Kokusai-dori.

They use a Special Agu pork called uruma aguu (Okinawan native pork), raised on mozuku (Okinawan seaweed) harvested in Uruma City. It is said to have a depth and flavor you cannot get from other aguu pork.

They offer two types of courses. Both let you enjoy uruma aguu and seasonal vegetables from Okinawa Prefecture.

Unlike shabu-shabu (Japanese hotpot) eaten with the usual dipping sauce, the special style here is to wrap vegetables and umi-budo (Okinawan sea grapes) with the meat, then enjoy them with miso, salt, or shikuwasa pepper. Umi-budo is an Okinawan seaweed known for its fun popping texture.

This uniquely styled shabu-shabu is said to be surprisingly delicious.

The dashi broth is delicious, and the pork is sweet. It was my first time eating umi-budo (sea grapes) and papaya wrapped in pork, and both were great. The umi-budo roll had a nice salty taste from the umi-budo, while the papaya really brought out the sweetness of the pork. The mango sorbet at the end was not overly sweet either, and had a nice refreshing taste. Overall, I was very satisfied.

Agu pork (Okinawan native pork) was incredibly fresh, and even the lean cuts tasted outstanding. You could really taste the natural sweetness of the ingredients, and the dashi (soup stock) was light and not heavy, so we enjoyed it all the way to the end without getting tired of it. There was also a wide variety of shima yasai (Okinawan island vegetables), making it fun in both color and texture. The staff also carefully explained the tips for shabu-shabu and the ingredients, which made the whole experience even better.

Churashima agu-buta (Okinawan Agu pork) is known for its rich sweet fat and the deep natural flavor of the meat. You eat it shabu-shabu style in a house-made broth with shredded cabbage.

You can also add a variety of extra toppings. In addition to the "Beef Tongue" shown in the photo, options include "A5 Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black Wagyu) Strip loin," "Agu pork dumplings," and "prefectural pork sausages."

Many people seem to order "zosui (rice porridge)" To finish. The rice soaks up the broth, and it is said to taste amazing.

ゆぅena

I ordered the Agu-buta (Okinawan pork) shabu-shabu set. The place was full, and there was a 2-hour time limit. It was my first time trying Agu-buta shabu-shabu, and since the broth was already seasoned, I ate it as is with cabbage. It was so delicious!! You can also change up the flavor with garlic, yuzu kosho, and shima togarashi (Okinawan chili pepper), but I liked it best as is. The mozuku (Okinawan seaweed) and ofu (wheat gluten cakes) also gave it a nice Okinawan touch.

A pork shabu-shabu restaurant with a kominka (traditional Japanese house)-style atmosphere. Above all, the prices are very reasonable, and you can enjoy Agu-buta (Okinawan Agu pork) shabu-shabu. I also liked that it came with plenty of cabbage. While soaking up a bit of a sightseeing mood, I was able to enjoy pork shabu-shabu and Orion Beer. The tongue shabu-shabu was also unusual and nice. I’d like to visit again.

The day before, I suddenly really wanted to eat Agu pork, and after looking for a place, I ended up here. The street was a little noisy, which made me uneasy at first, but once I went inside, the restaurant had a nice calm feel that put me at ease. The Agu pork was delicious, and I was able to spend a relaxing time here, leaving Manzoku. It is the kind of place that makes you want to stop by again on a whim.

ぽこぽんきち

This was my first time having shabu-shabu (Japanese hotpot), and as you would expect from a butcher's restaurant, the meat was excellent. It had a melt-in-your-mouth taste, and the meat blended beautifully with the two kinds of broth, which paired very well with the sauces. The meat was very tender, and I could really enjoy its natural flavor. It was really delicious.

When it comes to pork from Okinawa, I only knew Agu (Okinawan pork breed). But here I got to compare it with other kinds of Okinawan pork. There were also three kinds of sauce, and every pork was delicious. I also ordered some standard a la carte dishes, and they were tasty too. The staff were cheerful and kind.

The other A la carte dishes are also plentiful, and all of them have a good reputation for being tasty.

にゃん327

The shabu-shabu was very tasty, and the kind service left a great impression. Because they are particular about making things in-house, the food tastes great, and it was a place I’d like to visit again. Tucked away in a back alley, it had a hideaway feel and was quiet enough to enjoy a calm meal. The house-made kokuto (brown sugar) at the end was a nice finishing touch.

The main shabu-shabu (Japanese hotpot) uses pork that turns tender with just a quick dip in the heat, and the combination of lettuce and shima-dofu (Okinawan tofu) is also unique. The ponzu sauce with a nice tang and salt keep it light and refreshing, so it stayed enjoyable to the very end. Overall, both the food and service feel warm and thoughtful, making this a great place when you want to enjoy a calm meal.

たいがーうっぴゅ

How many times have I been here... ^ ^ That basically means it’s really good. They carry all kinds of pork, but Shimaguro Agu buta (black Agu pork) is the best! (It’s the most expensive at this restaurant, though.) I also compared it with the others, and it was so tasty that I almost wondered, is this really the same kind of pork? And my favorite item on the menu here is the lettuce! The lettuce shabu-shabu is seriously addictive!

Anyway, the fat on the meat is incredibly sweet and delicious! The shabu-shabu comes with Yanbaru Agu (Okinawan Agu pork) belly and loin. The gyoza and sausages made with this pork are also delicious! And then there is the tonkatsu made with Spencer roll. It is thick-cut, juicy, and delicious too! Anyway, the pork here is unbelievably good!

The interior has a calm atmosphere, and although it was a course menu, each dish was served individually. For the business dinner, about 10 dishes including dessert were served, and every one was delicious, with portions that were small and just right. The main shabu-shabu (Japanese hotpot) also had the natural sweetness of the pork and tasted great.

I had agu-buta (Okinawan native pork) shabu-shabu. I was glad we could eat in a Private room. It had a nice sweetness and was really delicious. For rice, you could choose either plain white rice or Okinawan takikomi gohan (mixed rice) (I forgot the name), and I chose the takikomi gohan, which was very good. The staff were also very polite, which felt really heartwarming.

The first thing that surprised me was how tender the meat was! It wasn’t greasy at all, and while it tasted light, it still had plenty of flavor. When I had it as shabu-shabu with Okinawan vegetables, the aroma of the dashi broth gently spread out, and it was very easy to eat. The course also came with Appetizers and Okinawan dishes, so it really let me enjoy the feel of Okinawa. I was completely Manzoku right through to the final dish.

The "Vegetable-Filled Agu Pork Shabu" is a popular A la carte set featuring Yanbaru Shimabuta Agu (Okinawan Agu pork), known for its low melting point fat and natural sweetness, and it is said to melt smoothly on the tongue.

They offer three kinds of dipping sauce for the shabu-shabu, so you can enjoy it all the way to the end without getting tired of it.

With the course, you can also enjoy à la carte dishes that let you fully experience Okinawa. You can also add All you can drink with a wide range of beverages, including fresh craft gin made at the distillery next door.

It’s really nice that for Hot Pot dishes, A la carte ordering is available. Hot Pot orders start from 2 servings. It comes with 3 kinds of sauce and salsa, and I personally recommend pouring plenty of salsa over the meat and vegetables after shabu-shabu (Japanese hot pot swishing) and eating them that way. The fried pasta and kikurage (wood ear mushroom) with pakuchi (cilantro), which I love, were also great.

Everything is delicious! The restaurant is stylish too! Iburi-gakko (smoked daikon pickles) is the best! The otoshi (small appetizer) is tasty too. The pork shabu-shabu is also great. To finish the Hot Pot, you can choose noodles or rice. I had the noodles, and they were delicious too! The gin sonic was good too! I’ll be back!

The broth for the shabu-shabu was very tasty, and it really brought out the sweetness of the pineapple Agu pork (Okinawan Agu pork raised on pineapple feed). It was so good that we finished the set for 2 in no time and even ordered extra meat to keep enjoying it. We were completely satisfied. If I come to Okinawa again, I’d love to come back and eat here.

まさ@築地

The agu-buta (Okinawan Agu pork) shabu-shabu is incredibly good. The meat is tender, with plenty of the pork’s natural sweetness and flavor, and the broth is also tasty, pairing well with shima-dofu (Okinawan island tofu) and mozuku (Okinawan seaweed). To finish, even the Okinawa soba was excellent. It also went perfectly with Orion Beer.

I visited because I wanted to eat Agu buta (Okinawan Agu pork) shabu-shabu. There were two of us, but they kindly prepared just 1 per person. The portion was quite generous too. I wanted to try some of the other dishes as well, so I really appreciated that. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and a stylish feel, which I liked. The staff were also very friendly, and I had a very pleasant time.

ろくでなしぶるーちゅ

I personally love shabu-shabu (Japanese hotpot), so this was the best! Not many places have goma-dare (sesame dipping sauce), so I was glad they had it〜. Shabu-shabu should be with goma-dare, right? It was a great meal! The second floor is even more stylish, and next time I’ll go to the terrace

Agu Buta (Okinawan native pork) Shabu-shabu and Nikumaki Onigiri (meat-wrapped rice balls) Specialty Restaurant Ryukyu Nikumaru

Ryukyu Nikumaru, an Agu pork (Okinawan native pork) shabu-shabu and nikumaki onigiri (meat-wrapped rice ball) specialty restaurant where you can fully enjoy Agu pork shabu-shabu in a course meal, is a 10-minute walk from Asahibashi Station.

The interior is a refined Japanese-style space, with counter seats, table seats, and Private room seating. It offers a calm and relaxed place to enjoy your meal.

They offer 3 types of courses. Prices vary depending on the included à la carte dishes. The popular choice seems to be the “Ryukyu Course,” which also lets you enjoy steak made with Ishigaki-gyu (Ishigaki beef), a Japanese Black Wagyu from Okinawa Prefecture.

Agu-buta (Okinawan pork) is known for its finely marbled meat, and its fat has sweetness and rich flavor. You can enjoy both loin and belly in all courses.

You can choose either a bonito and kombu kelp based broth or a tomato based broth. The finishing dish also changes depending on the broth, with zosui (rice porridge) OR nihon soba (Japanese buckwheat noodles) for the bonito and kombu kelp broth, and risotto OR fresh pasta for the tomato broth.

They also offer a la carte dishes made with Agu pork, such as onigiri (rice balls) wrapped in Agu pork, and you can order extra or take them home.

Maru080

The freshly sliced agu pork (Okinawan native pork) had the feel of really fresh meat, and there was naturally very little scum, so I think the pork was very fresh. I could really taste the good flavor of the meat, and it was a satisfying taste. It was so good that I ended up ordering an extra serving of pork belly without even thinking. To finish, they serve soba from Kagawa Prefecture, which was a nice and unusual touch.

NORINOO

The calm and lovely interior raised my expectations even more! I had the shabu-shabu course, and just as rumored, the agu-buta (Okinawan Agu pork) was really delicious, with tender meat and a nice sweetness to it. I heard it has umami compounds and collagen, and more than twice as much as regular pork. It also paired perfectly with the house-made ponzu sauce.

The interior feels clean and has an atmosphere where you can relax and enjoy a meal between sightseeing stops. The staff were also courteous, so even first-time visitors could feel at ease dining here. This is a recommended place for anyone who wants to enjoy shabu-shabu (Japanese hot pot) as a bit of a treat on Kokusai-dori (Kokusai Street).

I had visited the Roppongi location several times, so when I went to Naha, this was a place I wanted to try! The restaurant had a spacious main dining area and Private rooms, making it a very comfortable place to spend time ☆ The shabu-shabu (Japanese hot pot) was of course delicious and reasonably priced, so I ate a lot lol. The recommended shumai (steamed dumplings) were very tasty!
