Teppan-yaki Sagami is a restaurant where you can enjoy Wagyu and seasonal seafood cooked in dynamic Teppan-yaki style. It is located on the top floor of the hotel "Yokohama Bay Sheraton Hotel & Towers" in front of Yokohama Station.
The interior has a rich, stately feel inspired by a ship's cabin. The windows offer a sweeping view of the Yokohama cityscape, and the atmosphere is said to be excellent.
Photograph:ミニひろ
For the main steak, they select top grade A5-ranked Wagyu and serve it cooked to the perfect doneness.
One of the highlights is the careful temperature control of the Teppan-yaki grill and the smooth, quick cooking technique. The sounds, aromas, and smoke add to the show, creating a performance that delights all five senses.

On the more upscale course, seafood such as live Ise ebi (spiny lobster) and live awabi (abalone) also makes an appearance.
The Ise ebi is grilled in its shell, giving it an especially rich, toasty aroma. The original sauce made with the liver is deep and full-bodied, and is said to fill your mouth with umami.

With counter seating only, the views were great, and the hospitality was top notch. The awabi (abalone) and filet were really delicious, and I was impressed. I had both the ume gohan (plum rice) and garlic rice, and both were excellent too. They also have domestic wine and beer, so you can enjoy the drinks as well.

They select Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef) at the market without focusing on any particular production region, placing emphasis on the flavor and mouthfeel of marbling. The medium-rare doneness is also said to be spot on.
The atmosphere also makes it easy to chat casually with the chef. Talking about the meat’s characteristics and how it is cooked makes the meal taste even better.

・Kinmokusei Course
For the main A5-rank kuroge wagyu (Japanese Black Wagyu) steak, we both asked for an upgrade and had the filet and Strip loin♪ The filet was tender and lean, while the Strip loin had rich fat and an irresistible sweetness! We got to enjoy the different appeal of each cut!

・Tsubaki Course
This course even comes with awabi (abalone) and ise-ebi (spiny lobster). On top of that, you get one whole ise-ebi and one whole awabi per person, which feels incredibly luxurious! The cooking is spot on, and it tastes unbelievably good♡ It also comes with a gratin made with rich ise-ebi miso that has an addictive depth of flavor, making it another top notch dish that goes great with drinks.

This is one of the few restaurants that serves Katsube gyu (Katsube beef), a Shimane Prefecture beef known as phantom meat. It is a rare meat with only about 50 head shipped each year, and is said to offer top class flavor with a long list of awards.
The fat is so delicate it melts at the touch of a hand, and it is said to have a texture that seems to melt away in your mouth.

If you want to fully enjoy the appeal of Teppan-yaki, the course menu comes highly recommended. You can choose from three kinds of fish dishes, and the nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch), one of Japan’s most prized premium fish, is said to be outstanding.
Often called the king of white fish, it has light yet rich, fatty flesh, and you can enjoy it with a refreshing salt and lemon sauce.

Executive Chef Kazuzo Sakawa is said to have traveled all over Japan himself, gathering only the ingredients he found truly tasty... The interior and even each plate were all lovely, and everything felt Special♡♡♡You can only enjoy this top grade rare Katsube Wagyu here at Kogentei, and nowhere else,,

The fish they grilled right in front of us, suzuki (sea bass), along with the vegetables and meat, was delicious. The meat was especially good, and the Domestic beef Strip loin, grade 5 Katsube-gyu (Katsube beef), was the best. To finish I chose garlic rice, and it was also delicious. It was such a good dish that it made me genuinely want fried rice To finish whenever I have Teppan-yaki.

Chikitatei Nagomi is a Teppan-yaki restaurant located on the 5th floor of a building, a 5-minute walk from Kannai Station. It is said to charm guests with its Japanese-style entrance lined with bamboo and its luxurious interior.
It is run by the well-known fruit wholesaler Mizunobu Group in Kanagawa Prefecture, and they say it makes generous use of fresh vegetables and fruit.

With the network that only the long-established Mizunobu Group can offer, they source Special ingredients from Yokohama Chuo Oroshiuri Shijo (Yokohama Central Wholesale Market).
They are also particular about seasonal seafood. The awabi (abalone) Teppan-yaki is a luxurious dish made with one whole abalone, and people say the buttery flavor soaks in nicely, giving it a juicy finish.
Photograph:B級好きだな
The meat is A5-grade Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef), with well-conditioned selections such as Yamagata-gyu (Yamagata beef) and Sendai-gyu (Sendai beef) brought in depending on what is best that day.
They use Ishikawa-produced bamboo charcoal salt, known for its black grains, and rare Pakistani crystal rock salt to bring out the best flavor of the ingredients.

On this day, I ordered the lunch course, and the first thing served was a seasonal salad. The colors and textures were beautifully balanced, and the dressing was also so good…! The filet steak that followed was served medium rare, with tender meat and rich flavor. The taste of Domestic beef slowly spreading through the mouth with each bite was especially memorable☺︎

While looking for a Teppan-yaki restaurant with a nice atmosphere, I came across a place that was exactly what I had hoped for. The quality was high across the board, from the meat and fish to the vegetables, and I felt the cooking and heat control were very careful. This is the kind of restaurant where you can enjoy not only the meal but also the atmosphere, making it perfect for a little everyday treat.

・Tetsu Steak
It was amazing. Of all the meat I’ve ever eaten, this was the most delicious. The moment I bit into it, I felt a grape-like pop as the surface gave way, followed by a burst of juicy meat flavor that spread through my mouth. What is this? Is this even food from this world! The meat was tender, but I took my time and savored every bite…♡

・Tetsu Course
It is a full course, so it will definitely fill you up! The foie gras comes with teriyaki sauce and goes really well! The Tenshi no Ebi (angel prawns) are also delicious! It really lifts your mood when the seafood is good too, right! The main meat dish is an insane size! Usually you only get a little, but here they cut it into chunky cubes, and they were dancing around on the Teppan-yaki!!

What surprised me first was the freshness and high quality of the ingredients. They use carefully selected ingredients such as pesticide-free vegetables delivered directly from Tokushima and Awa-gyu (Awa beef). In particular, the Awa-gyu steak was tender, juicy, and seemed to melt in my mouth. The seafood, including Ise-ebi (spiny lobster) and awabi (abalone), was also very fresh, and cooking it on the Teppan-yaki brought out the full flavor of the ingredients.

They prepare Wagyu in a wide range of ways, including steak, shabu-shabu, and low-temperature cooking. The restaurant name is a coined word based on "LIBRARY." It comes from the idea that you can enjoy choosing dishes as if picking books from a shelf.
The Special A5-ranked kurokegyu (Japanese Black beef) is known for both well-marbled meat and the great flavor of its rich lean cuts.
Photograph:@なゆたぬき
A signature course dish, "low-temperature cooked Wagyu briefly smoked," is said to release billowing smoke the moment the lid of the sealed container is opened, filling the air with the aroma of sakura (cherry wood) smoking chips.
Inside are smoked roast beef and marinated vegetables, and diners can enjoy the nice match of the toasty aroma and bright acidity.

・Wagyu shabu-shabu
It is lean meat that does not look like shabu-shabu, but it has a gentle flavor and is easy to eat, and the moderate warmth works well. It is also topped with endo-mame no shinga (pea sprouts), and I enjoyed it while taking in the aroma. It is so good that it makes you want a bowl of rice.

For Appetizers, in addition to assortments, they also offer Appetizers with meat, seafood, and vegetables. After that, you can choose grilled dishes or stewed dishes, and for the main, Matsuzaka-gyu (Matsusaka beef) is a great choice. To finish, they have pasta and (assorted varieties available) desserts.

I enjoyed a well balanced meal of vegetables, fish, and meat, and left very satisfied. The sauteed foie gras was delicious and really impressed me. For the meat, I paid extra and had the Chateaubriand. It was melt in your mouth tender. The garlic rice was also delicious, with a perfect stir fry. The hospitality was wonderful too, and it is a place I would love to visit again.

As always, the food was delicious and the service was great! They had several kinds of wine by the glass, and all of them were good. Even though this Teppan-yaki place is very good value, the atmosphere and service are on par with much more upscale places. I also liked that we could relax and take our time. If you like ending your meal with rice, the garlic rice is definitely the way to go!

The "hiiragi" course is the Most Popular option. In addition to A5-ranked Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef), you can also enjoy abalone and Ise ebi (spiny lobster). Some say the Ise ebi has a nice springy texture, and the rich tomalley is plentiful.
The à la carte dishes are also tasty, and some are topped with gold leaf, giving them a luxurious look as well.

Every dish was delicious, with flavors that paired well with wine. The portions were just right, and I enjoyed every bite all the way through To finish dessert without getting tired of anything. The interior is a chic space based on black tones. At the counter seats, you can enjoy your meal while watching the food being cooked on the Teppan-yaki grill. Along with top grade Wagyu, you can also enjoy tasty seafood and vegetables. The main steak was especially impressive. By searing the surface at high heat, it locks in the meat's rich flavor. It is recommended to eat it with awa shoyu (foamy soy sauce), which melts lightly in the mouth♪

The meat is said to deliver its flavor directly, with an excellent tenderness. It also pairs well with wine specially selected by the sommelier.
YUMIZO
The hospitality was excellent. The meat was tender, and every dish was delicious. I felt full even without adding the extra 50g. At the end, the dessert wagon made even the desserts really tasty, which made the satisfaction level go up even more. It was a great meal.

Both the Wagyu sirloin and Tenderloin have a melt-in-your-mouth kind of taste. The grilled Oumaru ebi (lobster) is every bit as good as Ise ebi (spiny lobster). The dessert wagon looks so good you will want to say, "All of them!" Of course, they taste great too. The service from every staff member is great as well. Of course, there is such a wide range of drinks that it is hard to choose. No need to go out to Yokohama or central Tokyo!

This is “Miyazaki Wagyu Top sirloin.” The chef cooks it to perfection, giving it a juicy taste. It comes with slightly sweet Kyushu soy sauce, which pairs well with wasabi.
It also goes well with Japanese sake, whose selection changes with the season.

The "Kaisen Wagyu Top sirloin Course" lets you enjoy both seafood and meat, and comes with 7 luxurious dishes. The seafood changes with the season, so you can enjoy ingredients at their best.
On one particular day, they served hotate (scallop) and kaki (oyster). Both were large and had a great texture, and both were said to be excellent.

I visited for lunch. This was my third time. You can enjoy a relaxed meal here, and reservations are a must. Today I had the Hamburger Steak Gozen set. The demi-glace sauce was tasty, and the Hamburger Steak was very meaty with a firm bite, making it really good. It felt smaller than before. It came with sashimi and small side dishes, and I was full. The sesame pudding is excellent.

Everything was really good. The kaki (oysters) & hotate (scallops) isobe-yaki (seaweed-wrapped grilled dish) was a great pick. The shrimp with mayo also came with 2 really big shrimp. The Miyazaki-gyu (Miyazaki beef) Top sirloin was lean and clean-tasting. I usually think of Top sirloin as a bit tough, but this one wasn't too soft and had a nice bite, so it was tasty. The slightly sweet Kyushu shoyu (soy sauce) went really well with wasabi!
