At this restaurant with a relaxing atmosphere, the owner told us about meat and the history and current state of Kobe beef. The meal, which began with consommé served in a glass, can be summed up in one word: wonderful. Above all, the aged beef grilled in a charcoal kiln overwhelmed us with its savory aroma, the fragrance of the meat, and its rich flavor. We had the best night in Kobe.

It had been a while since I last had Kobe beef, and it was incredibly good. The Kobe beef two-cut tasting course was very Manzoku. I think it was white bread, and it was amazingly tasty, and the minestrone was excellent too. Comparing the lean cut and the marbled cut really lets you taste the difference. The rock salt in particular brought out the flavor of the meat nicely.

I really liked the tartar sauce on the tofu steak because it was light and refreshing! The vegetables, shrimp, and abalone were all very fresh and delicious. The main kobe-gyu (Kobe beef) was thick-cut and juicy♡ Even though it was very filling, it somehow didn’t feel heavy on the stomach. I had Teppan-yaki Kobe beef (Tajima beef). The vegetables and the aka-konnyaku (red konjac) sizzled away, calling out to me that they would be delicious. The meat was also brought out on a large plate right in front of me. Everything was simply sure to be delicious. It was a great meal. I was able to enjoy the meal at a relaxed pace.

First came the roast beef. It was charcoal grilled and very tender. The salad with black sesame and yuzu mayonnaise sauce had a refined taste. The grilled vegetables and Kobe beef came with wasabi, niku miso (savory meat miso), garlic, salt, and ponzu sauce, and they were all delicious. The niku miso was also very good over rice.

Kobe Teppan-yaki Steak Iwasaki

Kobe Teppan-yaki Steak Iwasaki, where a chef with 23 years of Teppan-yaki experience shows his skill, is a 3-minute walk from Sannomiya Station.

The spacious interior has 13 counter seats, and you can relax in the refined space while enjoying dinner.

They mainly offer set courses, and they can also accommodate an Omakase course based on your requests.

The photo shows the main dish from the "Special [Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black Wagyu)] Tenderloin 100g Course." The Tenderloin steak is carefully grilled over time on the Teppan-yaki grill, and each bite brings out more of its rich flavor, they say.

The “Nagomi Course” lets you enjoy a tasting comparison of three kinds of Kobe beef.

The three cuts—Strip loin, Tenderloin, and lean meat—are served in small portions, so you can enjoy them all the way to the end. To finish, the ochazuke-style “garlic rice” is also said to be so good it becomes addictive.

They said they had some great awabi (abalone) in that day, so I chose the awabi! Other customers were also ordering soup, so I had them add soup for me partway through as well. The soup that day was cauliflower soup, and it was very tasty. The meat and vegetables were reliably good as always, and I was so full that I had the garlic rice packed up to take home.

Chef Iwasaki is said to pay close attention to color, and the salad was colorful, beautiful, and delicious too(^O^)The assortment of grilled vegetables also looked tasty at a glance. The eggplant had delicate decorative knife work. It had soaked up the tasty fat.
