Yakiyaki-tei Hikarimachi Honten

Yakiyaki Tei Hikarimachi Honten, a 10-minute walk from JR Hiroshima Station, is a Yakiniku restaurant that has been loved by locals for 40 years. You can enjoy high quality meat delivered directly from a butcher shop, and the To finish "reimen (cold noodles)" is also popular.

You can relax and enjoy your meal in the zashiki (tatami seating area) or at table seating.

Hiroshima's local specialty, koune (a rare cut from the shoulder brisket), is part of the beef shoulder belly located between the front legs.

At this restaurant, they quickly grill the koune and serve it with green onions. It has some fat but stays light, and its nice slightly crunchy texture is said to be irresistible.

At lunchtime, they also offer set meals that come with kimchi, soup, salad, rice, and coffee.

Among them, the Outside skirt set meal has many repeat customers and is known for being tender and full of meaty flavor.

I visited for lunch on a Saturday, and above all, the meat was really good! Seriously, there wasn’t a single miss. The koune (brisket near the shoulder), which I ordered as an extra, was especially unbelievably delicious! Next time, I’d like to come back at night and take my time.

大麦酒

This is a yakiniku (Japanese BBQ) restaurant I’ve been going to for over 30 years. Everything I’ve tried here is good, but today I had the Outside skirt again for the first time in a while, and it reminded me just how tender and tasty it is. The reimen (cold noodles) still have that pleasantly chewy texture, and they keep me coming back. I ended up eating until I was completely full again today.

We ordered the On-the-Day course with All you can drink. We really enjoyed the delicious Hiroshima beef, and the drinks included in the All you can drink option were also better than standard and tasty. For the final dish, we could choose either tamago kake gohan (rice topped with raw egg) or udon, and everyone chose udon. I think that was the right choice.

After learning they serve Hiroshima gyu (Hiroshima beef), I made a last-minute reservation and visited in the evening. I had misuji (top blade), roast, kalbi (short rib), and more. The meat had fine, beautiful marbling, and while it looked rich and heavy with fat, it was not greasy at all. It had a touch of sweetness, yet felt like a clean, light style of meat.

Tucked quietly away in an alley, this place was exciting even to search for. It looked clean from the outside, which made it easy to walk in! Every cut of meat I tried was delicious, and the tongue was especially good! It was great with salt, and also great with a squeeze of lemon!

As you would expect from a house specialty, the tongue is great. The Beef Tongue is full of flavor, has a nice texture, and is a must order. I also personally recommend the ume shiso reimen (cold noodles with plum and perilla) either at the end of the meal or as a palate cleanser.

On a business trip to Hiroshima, I chose the All you can eat / All you can drink course! In the Private room with Sunken kotatsu seating, everything came soon after I ordered, and the service was quick too! The meat was such good quality that I could hardly believe it was All you can eat, and I was honestly impressed!! It was incredibly delicious〜I definitely recommend it when you come to Hiroshima!

We added all you can drink to the All you can eat plan. Since it was All you can eat, I had some doubts about the quality of the meat. It was good, better than expected. The cuts were nicely thick, and the sense of Manzoku was hard to beat. Of course, there are plenty of places that offer even higher-end meat, but there were lots of menu items to choose from, so it is perfect for a fun group meal.

I visited on a business trip to Hiroshima. I was looking for a Yakiniku place because I wanted to eat kone (brisket cut popular in Hiroshima) in Hiroshima. That’s how I found this spot. Good value, well prepared meat, great taste, good sauce, and good service. It became a place I’d gladly recommend to people both from inside and outside the prefecture(๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)

We had the JPY10,000 course. I was happy that the first drink was complimentary, and there were also things I tried for the first time, like meat sushi topped with uni (sea urchin) and venison topped with mascarpone cheese. The tongue, Chateaubriand, Outside skirt, meat sukiyaki etc. were all tender, and I was able to enjoy them at a relaxed pace.

The Japanese modern interior, lit by washi (Japanese paper) lighting, has partitioned counter seats and fully private rooms, where you can relax and enjoy a high-quality time.

Niku no Yamakin

The Japanese modern interior offers counter and table seating, along with fully private rooms with Sunken kotatsu seating.

The “Kiriotoshi Toku-mori assortment” is a great value plate with assorted cuts of meat, uneven in shape but packed with variety.

It includes a range from fatty cuts to lean meat, so you can enjoy the different flavors of each. You can choose from 150g・250g・350g, and the photo shows the 350g portion.

The "Wagyu uni Top blade" is a dish made by quickly searing the rare Top blade cut, lavishly wrapping it around fresh uni (sea urchin), and enjoying it with wasabi soy sauce.

When you take the Top blade and uni together in one bite, you get a melt-in-your-mouth texture, and the uni's slight bitterness brings out the meat's rich flavor.

篝086

I visited on a weekday evening. The place was busy with large groups and other diners. The second floor has Private room zashiki (tatami seating), which I recommend. I ordered the Top blade uni (sea urchin) roll. It only needed a quick sear, and when I ate it with uni and wasabi on top, both the meat and uni seemed to melt in my mouth and tasted great. The Special kalbi (Korean-style short rib) was also nicely marbled, tender, and very good.

I visited for dinner with my child. The Wagyu trimmings were very tasty, and it felt like the portion was larger than the listed weight. In addition to relaxed Yakiniku at the counter seats and in Semi-private rooms, it also has a Private room that can accommodate up to 60 people. It offers a private feel while still being easy to visit casually.

The classic Yakiniku item "tan-shio (salted beef tongue)" is popular for its satisfying bite and just-right thickness.

If you grill it just long enough to lightly sear it, the outside turns nice and fragrant while the inside stays moist and juicy. A squeeze of the lemon juice at the table adds a fresh flavor, too.

At this restaurant, you can enjoy both A la carte dishes and courses. In the kugiri-style course, they keep serving dish after dish until you say "stop".

The menu features a wide range of items including Wagyu, so you can enjoy it all the way through without getting bored. The photo shows some of the dishes served in the course.

I visited at 7:00 p.m. on a Saturday night. The restaurant seemed almost full, with lots of couples inside. The dining room was comfortable, with noren (traditional fabric dividers) hanging at Each table, giving it an almost Private room setup. The service was also pleasant—they quickly cleared empty plates, and when I was unsure where the restroom was, they guided me right away! The food was good, especially the Beef Tongue and yukhoe (Korean-style raw beef). The cold noodles were a little lightly seasoned, though. Overall, I was Manzoku.

The Kiwami Tan (premium tongue) is tender, full of meat flavor, and easy to recommend. Hiroshima’s soul food, koune shio (salted koune), is said to have an excellent balance of fat and a pleasantly firm texture.

The beautifully marbled "Premium Loin" uses Domestic Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef), including Hiroshima beef.

It is said to be surprisingly tender, with juicy flavor spreading with every bite. You can enjoy it with sauce, and they also recommend eating it with wasabi for a lighter taste.

A Yakiniku place I had wanted to visit for a long time. The Premium Loin was insanely good, so you should definitely order it! This is what people mean by meat you can drink. The "Gyu Buta "Shio" Horumon" is a mixed Horumon dish that combines tasty cuts of beef and pork. From plump and springy pieces to crunchy and rich ones, it offers a range of textures and flavors.

Even Horumon, which can be tricky to grill just right, is easy to enjoy here because the staff carefully show you how to cook it.

The “Nikukai” Lemon Beef Tongue is said to be a popular dish for its bold look, with slices of lemon tucked into a block of tongue root.

They grill it with the lemon still inserted, and the thick-cut Beef Tongue has great visual impact and is well liked for being satisfyingly filling.

いわ丼

I visited because I wanted to eat grilled Horumon! I reserved an All you can drink course and ordered the food à la carte! When the Horumon was grilled, the flames picked up, and there was something really nice about watching it cook, plus it tasted great! The other items, including tongue, Outside skirt, and kalbi (Korean-style short ribs), were all delicious too!

The staff placed the Horumon on the grill and explained how to cook it. The sauces were lemon, soy sauce, and miso, and we dipped the grilled Horumon in plenty of it. The crunchy Horumon was so good I felt like I could eat it forever, and while I am not very familiar with miso sauce, I still found it tasty.

Nikuryori Shunkiro

Niku Ryori Shunkirou, about a 13-minute walk from Saijo Station, is a Yakiniku restaurant with parking available. Along with Yakiniku, you can enjoy a wide range of menu items such as sukiyaki and meat sushi.

The calm interior, with a Japanese feel, also has Private room options that can be used even for small groups.

"Jo-Mountain chain tripe" uses only the thickest parts of the cow's first stomach.

Careful knife work gives it a firm bite while keeping it pleasantly tender. You can choose your preferred seasoning from miso tare (miso sauce), shio tare (salt sauce), or karami miso tare (spicy miso sauce).

The "thick cut liver" is made with beef liver and is rich in iron and vitamin A.

It is so fresh that the edges stay sharp, and you can tell from the look alone. It is said to have the satisfying bite that only a thick cut can offer, along with a melt-in-your-mouth texture.

テムジンDK

I ordered a variety of dishes (and of course, Horumon is a must), but the real standout was the “jukusei nama atsugiri toku-tan (aged fresh extra-thick premium tongue).” This was incredible… With the rock salt served on the side, the tongue was amazingly tender, and more than anything, the flavor was outstanding! This dish alone is worth coming for. The restaurant is also very clean and has a grown-up hideaway feel, so it has become a top contender whenever I’m craving Yakiniku.

I was able to enjoy my meal in a spacious and relaxing Private room. Instead of ordering a course, I used the tablet at the table to order what I wanted to eat. I got to try a wide range of items, including tongue, Outside skirt, kalbi, reimen (cold noodles), and bibimbap, which was very nice. The Outside skirt in particular was tender and delicious. The staff were also very polite and provided great service.

Yakiniku Ikeguchi, about a 4-minute walk from Fukuyama Station, is a Yakiniku restaurant run directly by Ikeguchi Seinikuten, a butcher shop in Fukuyama.

You can enjoy top quality Wagyu selected with the expert eye of a butcher shop. Inside, there are counter seats and table seats, creating an atmosphere that is easy to enjoy whether you visit alone or with friends or family.

The signature "Gokujo Atsugiri Zeitaku Tan" is a dish of specially selected tongue base, cut into thick slices for a rich, indulgent bite.

It is hearty and satisfying, with a flavor that even tongue lovers will appreciate. The fresh, high quality meat, possible because it is run directly by a butcher shop, has a reputation for being delicious.

"Wagyu Nakaochi Wasabi" is popular as a dish where the rich flavor of Nakaochi Wagyu pairs perfectly with the just-right heat of wasabi.

Even after grilling, the wasabi flavor stays just enough, so you can enjoy the rich karubi (short ribs) in a refreshing way. It is said to be a menu item that wasabi lovers should definitely try.

All of the meat at this restaurant, which also runs a butcher shop, was fresh, high quality, and absolutely delicious. I personally especially liked the thick cut salted tongue. I would like to come again.

焼肉のたれ【神戸・大阪グルメ】

I found a super popular Yakiniku spot near Fukuyama Station in Hiroshima Prefecture‼️Inside, there are table seats on the first and second floors, so it feels very spacious. The high quality meat is great, and I recommend the lean karubi (short rib). Meat from a butcher shop is just so good after all. The staff were also very kind, and I was able to enjoy my meal at a relaxed pace. They get flooded with reservations on weekends, so I recommend booking early.
