This izakaya serving great yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) is a 3-minute walk from JR Kanda Station. It is known for carefully skewering Domestic chicken and grilling it with care.
This izakaya has roots in Osaka, and one of its standout features is that you can enjoy rare chu-hai (shochu highball) drinks that originated in Osaka. They also serve udon (Japanese wheat noodles) made with Kansai-style dashi broth.
Photograph:ユン2025
The popular menu item "kushiyaki assortment (grilled skewer assortment)" lets you enjoy grilled skewers made with various parts of chicken. The "negima" on the far left in the photo is a classic yakitori skewer made by alternating chicken thigh and green onion.
The liver to its right and the tsukune (minced chicken meatball) second from the right are also regular members of the yakitori lineup.

They have a wide variety of shochu based highballs, including the "Osaka Hiyashi Ame Chu-Hi."
They also offer a 2.5-hour All you can drink course, where you can enjoy a range of chicken dishes along with draft beer, chu-hi, Japanese sake, and other drinks.

A place that delivers both great taste and low prices. No wonder it’s so popular! It feels like the first time in a while that yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) really left me with a sense of Manzoku. The yakitori assortment, shiro reba (white liver), tsukune with tare sauce and cheese, and sasami with ume and oba (perilla leaf) were all high quality. The tori dashi tantanmen (tantan noodles with chicken broth) to finish was excellent.

The chicken skewers grilled over sumibi (charcoal fire) are fragrant and juicy, and each cut has its own character to enjoy. Their signature chu-hai (shochu highball) is clean and easy to drink, making a great match that brings out the rich flavor of the chicken. It was a deeply satisfying dinner that we could enjoy at a relaxed pace in the calm atmosphere.

Mentaiko udon (udon with spicy cod roe) is the signature menu item at this restaurant, and many customers order it. The rich mentaiko cream sauce clings to the chewy udon, making it very tasty.
The aroma of the nori (seaweed) is said to bring out the savory flavor of the mentaiko mayonnaise.

Shinpachi’s specialty is nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch). The fish’s formal name is akamutsu (rosy seabass), but this premium fish is called nodoguro because the inside of its throat is black.
Even though it is a white fish, it is rich with fat and known for its full flavor and umami. On this day, they served nodoguro from Nagasaki.
Besides grilled fish like in the photo, they can also prepare it as sashimi if you prefer.

The popular menu item “Seasonal Sashimi assortment” (5 servings) comes in a bold presentation that looks beautiful and tastes great.
Since it was a 5-serving order on this day, the sea bream sashimi was served as ikezukuri (sashimi arranged on the fish’s head, tail, and center bone).

They have a wide selection of Japanese sake, so on this day I decided to enjoy several different kinds of Japanese sake. The good food made the Japanese sake go down very smoothly... I really loved the space filled with Showa-era atmosphere. Spending time in this setting enjoying good Japanese sake and food is something special.

First, we started with a sashimi assortment. I was impressed by the freshness and high quality, just as the rumors said! The seasonal fish in particular had rich fat and tasted amazing. The grilled fish was flaky and fragrant too, and it paired perfectly with drinks. The most impressive part was the selection of Japanese sake. They had many rare labels, and when we told them our preferences, they gave us spot-on recommendations. It matched the food so well that we ended up drinking a little too much.

The signature menu item is motsu-nabe (offal hotpot) Kyushu shoyu (soy sauce). This classic soy sauce based flavor comes with large pieces of motsu, making it a Manzoku dish. After finishing the ingredients, the popular way to end the meal is to add ramen.
They also offer motsu-nabe Uma-Kara Miso, made with miso from Kyushu as the base, and they recommend ending it with a cheese risotto.

"Aburi Mentaiko (lightly seared spicy pollock roe)" is a dish made by quickly searing mentaiko (spicy pollock roe), a Hakata specialty made from the ovaries of Alaska pollock seasoned in a chili pepper marinade.
Its mildly spicy flavor is popular because it goes well both as a snack with alcohol and with rice.

Popular with sashimi lovers is the assorted varieties available sashimi assortment. The fish, sourced from Toyosu (one of Japan’s largest wholesale markets), is said to be surprisingly fresh.
The chutoro and akami cuts of tuna are said to be thickly sliced, so you can really taste how good they are.

Their popular menu item "Kaiho" is a dish of nori-maki sushi topped with sashimi and ikura (salmon roe), among other ingredients.
The sashimi and fish roe are piled on so high they nearly spill over, creating a bright and eye-catching look. It has a lavish feel that lives up to the name, which means "treasures of the sea," and some reviews also said they were happy to see the ikura was large and plump.

Everything was delicious, and the combination of fish and great Japanese sake was the best!! It was also nice that they had many All you can drink options, including beer. They offer courses with All you can drink for around JPY5,000, and they are well reviewed for having plenty of dishes, good volume, and great value. The food is good, of course, but for JPY6,000 the All you can drink option is extended to 2.5 hours, so I think you can choose a course that fits the organizer’s plans. It also gets lots of high ratings in reviews. It is one of my top picks too!

Yuki【プチ贅沢なグルメ記録】渋谷/中目黒
The seafood menu is the big draw at this restaurant!! The main item is a 4-kind sashimi (assorted raw fish) assortment! With one extra kind added as a service, it becomes a 5-kind assortment. This kind of bonus you often get at a homey izakaya is such a nice touch. The fish is very fresh, and the cuts are thick, so you can really enjoy the texture too. At about JPY1500 per person for this quality, the value is just too good.

They said the oysters were the recommendation, so I gave them a try. I had both nama-gaki (raw oysters) and mushi-gaki (steamed oysters)! If I had to choose, I especially enjoyed the steamed ones with ponzu sauce!

The signature item is “Honjitsu no Nama Kaki (Fresh Oysters of the Day).” Since they source fresh oysters from around the country, the production region varies depending on the day.
These oysters are creamy and rich, with a nice ocean aroma, making them a perfect match for Japanese sake. You can order from just 1 piece.
Among the many tasty dishes here, one of the most popular is the otoshi (small appetizer served at the start of a meal). It comes as five carefully prepared small plate dishes served together on a tray.
People say this otoshi alone goes great with quite a lot of drinks. It also gives you time to take it easy and choose what to order.

They offer 12 kinds of craft beer on tap at all times, along with more than 150 kinds of Japanese sake. As for the Japanese sake, there is no menu, and the owner suggests the best glass based on each guest's preferences and the food. I could really feel the owner's deep passion for and knowledge of sake.

We had today’s course meal set with All you can drink Japanese sake. The course could be ordered On-the-Day! Together it was 9000円. Starting with Appetizers, we got to enjoy tasty dishes including oysters and fish tempura. They also selected Japanese sake to match the food, and we had a great time.

The sumibiyaki (charcoal grill) "seasonal vegetable assortment" is said to have a quality you would not expect from an izakaya. You can enjoy it with three kinds of salt: regular salt, yuzu salt, and truffle salt.
For sumibiyaki, the assorted skewers are also popular.
The otoro maguro (fatty tuna) straw seared is a dish in which rich, fatty otoro is quickly seared over a high temperature straw fire. It is eaten with an egg yolk sauce.
Some reviews say it has an amazing, aromatic flavor and is a must order menu item at this restaurant.

All you can eat and drink Great food and amazing value from Taiga Suzu, a popular Asakusa restaurant that also has a Kanda location. The sashimi is tasty too, but the buri (yellowtail) straw-seared and the salmon were especially good. You can enjoy all you can eat vegetables, fish, and meat, so it is easy to have a well-balanced meal.

About a 9-minute walk from Kanda Station, this izakaya is known for its tasty yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) cooked with an original sauce that has been added to and reused over time.
They also offer a wide selection of drinks, including Japanese sake from Fushimi, Kyoto, a well-known production region for sake, as well as Junmaishu, shochu, and fruit liqueurs.
Photograph:たかお_
The "Rare Cut 5-Skewer assortment" is a yakitori assortment of parts that can only be taken in small amounts from a single chicken, such as hatsuochi (a rare cut near the heart) and momokaburi (a rare thigh cut).
Each one is juicy and delicious, and you can enjoy a unique texture depending on the cut.
Photograph:かわくじら
The "Meibutsu Lemon Sour" in the photo is popular. Once you finish your drink, you can order a "Kaedama Sour" with the lemon left in the glass.
They also offer a lineup of unique sours, including the "Odama Nanko-ume Sour" with one whole salted Nanko-ume (pickled Japanese plum) and the "Tomorokoshi no Hige-cha High" made with corn silk tea.
The skewers made with fresh chicken are fragrant, packed with flavor, and go perfectly with drinks. In addition to yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), they offer a wide range of chicken dishes, and the varied lineup is part of the appeal. The interior is bright and clean, and with everything from counter seats to table seating, it works well for anything from solo drinks to meals with friends.

This place is so popular that it fills up even on a weekday Monday. The main kushiyaki (grilled skewers) are great, both the meat and the vegetables. The rare cuts and lettuce rolls are especially worth trying. The dishes beyond the kushiyaki, including the desserts, are also very good, and with such a wide menu, you will want to try a bit of everything.

They offer a wide selection of Hot Pot dishes, and the seafood and vegetable yose-nabe (mixed Hot Pot) in the photo is said to be packed with large shrimp and hotate (scallops).
It also comes with a variety of vegetables such as tofu, shiitake mushrooms, and green onions, and after finishing the ingredients, you can enjoy zosui (rice porridge), udon, or ramen in the remaining broth.

For ozukuri (sliced sashimi), they offer salmon, octopus, tuna, and hokkigai (surf clam), among others, and the popular choice in the photo is the "Today's Fresh Sashimi Assortment, 5 kinds".
In addition to fish dishes, they also have a full lineup of izakaya menu items such as grilled chicken skewers and fried dishes.
ハッピーくいしんぼう
It was a JPY4500 course, but the amount of food was huge. Starting with shime-saba (vinegared mackerel), the seafood salad also had plenty of salmon and was very filling. The sashimi assortment, grilled hokke (Atka mackerel), yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), and chicken nanban were more than enough for two people, and the Hot Pot was motsu-nabe (offal hotpot) with mentaiko (spicy cod roe), which was delicious.

The menu had everything from sashimi, steak, Hot Pot, and fried dishes to dessert. It was quite good. The kani miso (crab tomalley) was the best. It has a rich flavor, so I recommend it. The sake chazuke (salmon ochazuke) was also delicious.

This izakaya is about a 7-minute walk from Kanda Station. It offers a wide variety of kushiyaki (grilled skewers), with three categories: yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), yakiton (grilled pork skewers), and yasai-maki (vegetable wrapped skewers).
They also have a wide range of course menus, including the "Kushi Zanmai Course" with 3 hours of All you can drink. All seats are in spacious Private rooms or Semi-private rooms.

The specialty "yasai-maki (vegetable-wrapped skewers)" features vegetables such as mini tomatoes, lettuce, and negi (Japanese leek) wrapped in pork. There are 8 kinds.
The "yakitori (grilled chicken skewers)" comes in 8 kinds, including thigh, chicken wings, and gizzard, while the "yakiton (grilled pork skewers)" comes in 6 kinds, including pork belly and tongue, and all of them are said to be grilled up juicy.
Photograph:東京ヒトサシ飯
The "Atsugiri Tamagoyaki (thick cut Japanese omelet)" is said to be lightly sweet and softly cooked. Along with the eggs, the savory flavor of the dashi stock gently spreads across the palate, and its mild taste is said to warm the stomach.
Eating it together with the grated daikon radish on the side is the classic way to enjoy this dashi omelet.
孤独のレディ
The vegetable skewer assortment, something you can expect from a kushiyaki (grilled skewer) restaurant, was excellent as well. Juicy shiitake mushrooms, fragrant naga-negi (long green onion) grilled to a nice char, and paprika packed tight with sweetness...every skewer brought out the best in the ingredients, and each one tasted so good it was genuinely impressive. Enjoyed between bites of meat, they struck a perfect balance, and I just could not stop reaching for more.

We also ordered the three-piece sashimi assortment. It included octopus, squid, and I think the third item was a white fish, and all of it was very fresh. It was a nice surprise to get sashimi of this quality at a place that mainly serves skewered dishes. Overall, the cost performance was very high, the drinks were good quality, and each dish was prepared with care.

Robata to Oden Koronagirai Akihabara Ten, about a 5-minute walk from Kanda Station, is an izakaya that has been getting attention for offering All you can eat oden as its otoshi (small appetizer served first with a drink order).
Inside, in addition to counter and table seating, there are also fully private rooms.

The photo shows the restaurant’s specialty, “otoshi oden (starter oden) All you can eat.” Oden is a type of traditional Japanese Hot Pot dish, and it comes with a variety of ingredients such as daikon radish, eggs, konnyaku (firm yam cake), chikuwa (tube-shaped fish cake), atsuage (deep-fried tofu), and ito konnyaku (shirataki-style konnyaku noodles).
Popular items include daikon radish soaked with dashi, boiled eggs, and atsuage, which is tofu deep-fried in oil.

The photo shows “Tenshi no Ebi Kushi,” made in the robatayaki (charcoal hearth grilling) style, where fresh seafood and vegetables are grilled right in front of you over charcoal.
Other ingredients include scallops, squid, mackerel, and corn.

All you can eat oden (Japanese hot pot dishes) is the best! For JPY550, you can enjoy All you can eat oden! You can get refills as many times as you like. The small plates are so satisfying that this alone feels like enough. The broth had soaked in well, and I enjoyed it a lot.

This is a Japanese izakaya where you can enjoy oden, full of savory dashi flavor, and robatayaki (charcoal grilled fireside dishes) cooked over charcoal until nicely aromatic. The oden lineup is wide, from classics like daikon radish and eggs to creative varieties, and it pairs perfectly with Japanese sake. The robata menu includes seafood, seasonal vegetables, and meat dishes, so you can enjoy dishes that bring out the best in each ingredient.

The "kaisen sashimi no masu-mori (assortment of seafood sashimi served in a wooden masu box)" is a luxurious dish with four kinds of seafood in a masu box: red shrimp, bonito, ikura (salmon roe), and negitoro (minced tuna with green onion).
It is also popular for its beautiful presentation in a wooden masu box, a vessel originally used for drinking Japanese sake.

Oden (Japanese simmered hotpot items), a traditional simmered dish, is one of this restaurant's signature menu items.
The key to the flavor is the dashi made with kombu kelp from Hokkaido and katsuobushi (bonito flakes) from Kyushu. In addition to classics like daikon radish and eggs, they also offer more unusual items such as tongue and shumai (steamed dumplings).

The signature option has to be the [Kaisen (seafood) & oden (Japanese stew) All you can eat and drink plan]! You can enjoy all 130 items for 2 hours at JPY3,300, and to top it off, the starter they serve first is the luxurious “kaki (oysters) and kaisen irori-mushi (hearth-steamed seafood).” It’s amazing value that even the seafood masu assortment topped with ikura (salmon roe) is included in the All you can eat menu.
