Recommended Korean Yakiniku restaurants near Shin-Okubo Station

Majang-dong, located in eastern Seoul, South Korea, is known as a mecca for great meat, and that is said to be where the restaurant got its name.
This place, Majang-dong Shin-Okubo Ten, is about a 7-minute walk from Shin-Okubo Station and is known for serving Korean-style Yakiniku in a high-end setting with relaxing Sunken kotatsu seating.

The restaurant’s top recommendation is Horumon. Even for cuts that are hard to judge when fully cooked, the staff grills them at (Each) table, so you won’t miss the best time to eat them.
Some people said they can’t forget the Horumon here and want to come back again.
Photograph:くま430
The dish in the photo with the large tube-shaped pieces is the "Premium Horumon." It is plump and tender, and said to be so tasty it goes perfectly with rice.
Meanwhile, the "Premium Mountain chain tripe" is said to have a distinctive crunchy texture that gets addictive.
ご飯ダイスキ10006
The Premium Horumon was surprisingly large and unlike anything I had ever seen, with an impressive presence, and it was simply outstanding. It was so good that I could not stop drinking. The yukhoe bibimbap also had a deep flavor and really impressed me. The atmosphere inside the restaurant felt upscale while still giving a real sense of Korean culture, and I had a very meaningful time.

I visited for the first time through an introduction from an acquaintance. The attentive service from the hospitable staff, the atmosphere of the restaurant, and of course the taste of the food were all wonderful. We had samgyeopsal, kalbi, and Mountain chain tripe, and every one of them was delicious. I definitely want to go again. It was a great meal.

[Near Shin-Okubo Station] Recommended Yakiniku restaurants where you can enjoy both Korean and Japanese styles together
Photograph:ママミシュラン
Sojuhanzan029, about a 7-minute walk from Shin-Okubo Station, is a popular restaurant with several locations in Shinjuku Ward including this one, and it has also expanded into Osaka and Aichi.
Facing Shokuan-dori, famous as Koreatown, this restaurant lets you enjoy both Korean-style and Japanese-style Yakiniku.
Photograph:沖田117
Samgyeopsal, a classic Korean Yakiniku dish where grilled pork belly is wrapped in leafy greens, is popular.
The "Nama Samgyeopsal (fresh samgyeopsal)" here comes in a style where you grill the pre-cut pork belly yourself on the tabletop grill.
Photograph:skidc500
They offer tongue and Outside skirt, which turn into juicy Yakiniku over charcoal. The "buta karubi (pork short ribs)" is popular, seasoned lightly with sweet soy sauce, and said to be tender and full of flavor.
At this restaurant around Shin-Okubo Station, an area packed with Korean food, they serve house-made Korean dishes such as naengmyeon (cold noodles) and kimchi.

The wide variety of meats really stood out. Along with the classic samgyeopsal, the quality of the beef was also impressively high. The especially thick cut beef short ribs were juicy and packed with flavor, and grilling brought out even more of their savory aroma. I felt happy the moment I took a bite. The side menu was also extensive, and dishes like kimchi and namul tasted just like the real thing.

I dropped by around 5 a.m. From the window seat on the second floor, you get a good view of Shokuan-dori. I was in the mood for meat that day, so I ordered mainly Yakiniku rather than Korean dishes. What I like about Korean style Yakiniku places is that they always have Korean Perilla Leaves! I personally like to get plenty of vegetables, so that makes me very happy. I also like green onions, so it was great that I could order them separately too ◉

[Shin-Okubo Station to Nishi-Shinjuku Area] Recommended Yakiniku Restaurants
Photograph:やっぱり蕎麦
About a 13-minute walk from Shin-Okubo Station toward the Nishi-Shinjuku area, Yakiniku Bazooka F is a well-known spot even among serious Yakiniku fans, and reservations are recommended. The menu offers a wide range of dishes with a lot of thought put into the visuals, cuts, and grilling style, letting you discover plates that bring out the full potential of the meat.
The restaurant has an easygoing atmosphere and is filled with guests having a good time.
The "Meibutsu Bazooka Outside skirt," with its surprising tropical whole-pineapple presentation, is a popular menu item that many customers order.
The pineapple enzymes are said to make the meat more tender. The fruity pineapple also pairs surprisingly well with the seasoned sauce.
Photograph:マツケングルメ
The "Meibutsu Nami Tan Shio" is thick-cut yet tender, and topping it with chopped garlic makes it irresistibly good.
The "Aburu Yukke 'Sumika'" is also recommended, with fresh meat lightly seared and mixed with egg yolk. Depending on the menu item, the staff may show you how to grill it.
kkkk_kkkkm
This time, we skipped ordering a course and ordered each dish separately, but every cut of meat at this Yakiniku restaurant was honestly in a class of its own for the price!! Considering the price, it was more than worth it! The atmosphere has that casual neighborhood Yakiniku feel, but the meat tastes nothing like that, with a refined quality you might expect even at a high-end restaurant!

・Famous Bazooka Outside skirt
The Bazooka Outside skirt was just as I imagined. The enzymes in the pineapple make the meat tender, so even grilled over the net, it stays super soft and delicious. The meat is already coated in sauce, so once it’s grilled, you can eat it as is!

Sumibiyaki Horumon Guu Shinjuku is a Yakiniku restaurant about an 11-minute walk from Shin-Okubo Station. The stylish interior has a chic and calm tone throughout, and in addition to tables, there is also counter seating.
Many reviews speak highly of the staff, saying the bright and attentive service makes for a pleasant meal.
Photograph:mlktt16
The fresh raw Horumon and Yakiniku brought in every day are said to be very good.
The Horumon grilled over binchotan (white charcoal) is said to be nicely browned on the outside and plump & juicy inside. Horumon tends to smoke easily, but a powerful exhaust system keeps any odors from bothering you.
Photograph:もふもふ110
The Horumon menu includes a full lineup of beef and pork cuts, including rare parts such as the "[Recommended] Sweetbread."
One of the best things about Horumon is how each cut has its own texture and flavor, so be sure to compare and try them.

I visited again for the first time in about six months. I wanted to have nomeru rosu (melt-in-your-mouth loin) again after a while, so I went with the Kiwami Course. The nomeru rosu was outstanding, and the other meats were just as good as ever. As always, I was impressed by the cheerful service and efficiency of the manager and staff. This is without a doubt one of those places that makes you want to come back again.

An izakaya where charcoal grilled Horumon is the star. The fresh, rich Horumon is fragrant, and the more you chew, the more flavor comes out. The interior is casual and lively, making it perfect for drinks with friends. It is also easy on the wallet, and it is the kind of place you will want to come back to.

"Luxurious without feeling stuffy" describes this place perfectly! For a menu centered on Kobe beef, this price range feels almost unreal. The calm interior and Private rooms make it great for dates or business meals too. Every cut of meat was carefully prepared, and I really liked how refined the fat tasted. Also, the staff were genuinely kind, and I appreciated that they even showed me how to grill the meat.

Centered on A5 rank Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef), the freshness is just outstanding! The yukhoe has no off notes, and the thick cut tongue and Domestic Outside skirt are so tasty they make you want more rice. What impressed me most were the Top blade served rare after just 10 seconds of cooking, and the Chateaubriand enjoyed with truffle salt. On top of that, the kama-daki gohan (pot-cooked rice) finished right at the table pairs perfectly with the meat.

I ordered the All you can eat course and mainly enjoyed kalbi (Korean-style beef short ribs) and Outside skirt. The quality of the meat was at a Manzoku level considering the price, and it went well with the sauce. Another nice point is that they also have Korean dishes on the side menu. The restaurant was lively and full of energy, with an easygoing atmosphere that made it easy to drop in. I’d like to visit again when I’m craving Yakiniku.

Wagyu Yakiniku Black Hole Central Road Ten is a Yakiniku restaurant located about a 15-minute walk from Shin-Okubo Station.
It stands in front of the Godzilla Head along Central Road, but the calm, bright lighting, bar-style interior, and all-table seating make it a place where you can relax and enjoy your meal.
It is popular for offering a step-up Yakiniku experience with high-quality Wagyu, including branded cattle selected by professionals from different regions and rare cuts.

These are rare cuts available only in very small amounts from a single animal, so they may sell out. You can enjoy an assortment of rare cuts of Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef), depending on what arrives that day.
It is also fun to compare the texture and flavor of each cut and find the one that suits your taste best.

In addition to a wide variety of A la carte menu items and dinner-only courses with All you can drink, the lunch is also popular for being easy on the wallet.
The lunch Yakiniku sets come with rice, salad, and more. The “Gyu Yakiniku Set,” which includes two rare cuts and Domestic kalbi (Korean-style short ribs), is also recommended for trying several kinds of meat.

I had a slightly more luxurious lunch than the usual Yakiniku. You can compare and enjoy several cuts of very high quality meat. It was really delicious.

世界最高の食卓
Everything was very delicious. As for the Black Hole kalbi (short rib), it was a little too fatty and a bit heavy. The yukhoe (Korean-style beef tartare) and tongue were especially tasty, and the zabuton (chuck flap) was very good. The atmosphere was nice, and I was satisfied with the service. The prices were not that high, and I would like to go again.

Yakiniku Tenryu is in the Kabukicho area, about a 12-minute walk from Shin-Okubo Station. Many reviews mention that it is reasonably priced and a good value, so it seems like a great place to enjoy Yakiniku in a casual setting.
The inside has a lively atmosphere where you can enjoy a meal with friends or family without feeling self-conscious.

There is a wide range of A la carte menu items, including various cuts of beef and pork, as well as All you can eat & All you can drink courses.
One of the most popular courses is a great value plan that includes All you can eat with 55 items such as pork, chicken, and vegetables, plus All you can drink with 19 drinks.
The luxurious All you can eat and drink course with 149 items, including kurogé wagyu (Japanese Black Wagyu) kalbi, premium Outside skirt, and thick cut Beef Tongue, is also highly recommended.
The menu also has lunch set meals, so you can choose based on the occasion and casually enjoy Yakiniku.

We had Outside skirt, roast, and kalbi (Korean-style short ribs). We ordered the lowest-priced cuts, and the kalbi was very good, so we added 2 more servings. The soft drinks were also reasonably priced. We came in around 22:00, and the place was lively and packed with customers.

・Outside skirt set meal
Anime piano music is playing inside the restaurant. I ordered the "Outside skirt set meal." It arrived in about 5 minutes. The Outside skirt was tender, but the sauce on the table was a little light.

Yakiniku & Wine Nikuen Shinjuku Kabukicho Ten is a Yakiniku restaurant about a 12-minute walk from Shin-Okubo Station toward Kabukicho Station, with a casual atmosphere and stylish, artistic paintings on display.
There are many reviews praising the great value of the All you can eat courses, and they also offer an A la carte All you can drink plan with more than 45 kinds of drinks, making it useful for many different occasions.

The photo shows an assortment served on a gold cow-shaped dish.
This restaurant gets high marks for plating and presentation that are fun to look at. Along with a spiral staircase-style serving stand that adds a more luxurious feel, they also offer "character ice," shaped like cute animals that look great in photos.

The “Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black Wagyu) Kalbi 75-Item All you can eat C Course (90 minutes)” is a popular plan that lets you eat as much as you like of specialty items such as Kuroge Wagyu kalbi and tsubo kalbi marinated in sauce, as well as Outside skirt.
In addition to Yakiniku, they also offer salads and noodle and rice dishes, giving you a lineup that won’t get old.

The assortment of meats offers a full lineup of Top blade, zabuton (a well-marbled shoulder cut), Premium Outside skirt, Premium Kalbi, Premium Loin, Flap meat, and Beef Tongue. Every cut was very tender, and I was impressed by how it seemed to melt in my mouth. The zabuton and Top blade were especially great!

I enjoyed All you can eat Yakiniku at Nikuen in Shinjuku! What surprised me was that when you place an order, the meat is brought out on a “gold cow” ornament. Such an impact that it made me laugh without thinking! Every cut was delicious, and the meat marinated in a jar was especially juicy and addictive. Even the desserts looked cute, so it was an All you can eat meal that kept the excitement up to the very end!

"NO.1 Yakiniku Shabu Shabu All you can eat Kabukicho Ten" is a place with all-you-can-eat options that is easy to stop by even after spending a full day having fun around the Shin-Okubo area. The restaurant is about a 15-minute walk from Shin-Okubo Station.
The seating can be arranged to match the size of your party, so it is used by a wide range of guests, from small groups to larger parties.

They offer All you can eat with more than 100 kinds of Yakiniku, and depending on the plan, you can enjoy premium cuts of Kagoshima Kuroge Wagyu (Kagoshima black beef) graded A4 and A5 to your heart's content.
Even the standard plan mainly features Kagoshima Kuroge Wagyu. You can choose the seasoning from tare sauce, salt, miso, or spicy miso.
Photograph:アンパー
The signature jar-marinated series included in the All you can eat menu features standard kalbi as well as Outside skirt and Horumon.
The jar-marinated meat is said to have a nice, fragrant finish from charcoal grilling, with the locked-in flavor spreading across your mouth.
The interior felt clean and had a calm atmosphere. For the Yakiniku, we ordered an assortment of kalbi and pork. The meat was well marinated in sauce, and once it hit the grill, a savory aroma filled the air and really whetted our appetite. The seasoning was nicely balanced, just enough to bring out the meat's flavor. We felt this quality was a great deal for All you can eat. We would like to visit again.

Last time it was All you can eat shabu-shabu, and this time it was All you can eat Yakiniku. We went with the premium course, and the value for money was excellent. If you want meat, this is the place.

About a 14-minute walk from Shin-Okubo Station to the Kabukicho area, Sumibi Yakiniku Kin no Ie Shinjuku Ten is a notable restaurant with reviews saying that even the most reasonably priced course leaves you with a sense of Manzoku!
The seating ranges from tables for small groups to stylish Japanese-style Private rooms with elegant gold decor.

This Yakiniku is grilled over charcoal on wire mesh grills set at each table, and its look and aroma are enough to whet your appetite.
In addition to a wide variety of A la carte items, the menu also recommends All you can eat courses with several plan levels, including a premium plan filled with Domestic beef and A4 and A5 Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef).
Photograph:51ac17
The most popular All you can eat course is the most affordable plan, yet it offers a highly satisfying lineup with 80 items in total, including Domestic beef, all available to enjoy as much as you like.
You can fully enjoy the time limit with meal options as well, including Nakaochi short rib, Horumon, namul, and vegetables such as eringi (king oyster mushroom).

I visited for lunch with friends. We chose the cheapest All you can eat option, but it still came with a great variety and volume of meat. All three of us ate until we were completely full and left very Manzoku. They also have an All you can drink option for alcohol, so next time I’ll go with the All you can drink too lol If I’m in the area again, I’d love to stop by.

The Wagyu All you can eat meal is Manzoku! Every cut of meat was delicious! I recommend the Wagyu short rib and Horumon! It was also nice that the ventilation hood at the table was powerful!
