[Osaka Prefecture] Sushi restaurants in the Umeda, Shinchi, and Fukushima areas
Photograph:まゆげるげ
Sushi Fukushima is a sushi restaurant located a 1-minute walk from Shin-Fukushima Station on the JR Tozai Line.
The interior is a Japanese-style space with a wooden yagura (tower-like framework), and it has both box seats and counter seats. (Each) seat has its own sushi chef, who prepares the sushi to order.
Photograph:喘息男
You can enjoy a range of sushi made with Special toppings, including uni (sea urchin) shipped directly from Hokkaido (Hokkaido).
The shari (sushi rice) is made with "phantom rice" from Nagano Prefecture, and they finish it with their original sushi vinegar for a clean taste with no off notes, they say.
Photograph:kurea
The tuna sushi uses tennen hon-maguro (wild Pacific bluefin tuna) sourced from carefully selected production regions.
By taking time to age it in-house until it reaches the best time to eat, the restaurant brings out the fish’s full flavor and pleasantly chewy texture.
中野ちゃんPart2
What stood out most were the otoro (fatty tuna), uni (sea urchin), kohada (gizzard shad), and ni-hamaguri (simmered clam). The toro had an amazing balance of lightly seared aroma and melting fat, and the uni had zero off notes, melting smoothly on the tongue with a gentle finish that lingered. The kohada also made me think, Was it always this good? and the ni-hamaguri had a gentle balance of sweetness and umami that really sank in.

肉うどんにしがち
The meal focused mainly on nigiri (hand-formed sushi), and the shari (sushi rice) was just the firmness I like. In the first half, the otoro (fatty tuna) with its sweetness, samegarei (roughscale sole) with its great texture, and tachiuo (beltfish) were especially good.

Kitashinchi Sushi Tsu is a sushi restaurant located a 1-minute walk from Kitashinchi Station on the JR Tozai Line.
The Private rooms with night views are perfect for days when you want to spend Special time with someone important. They also offer counter seats where you can enjoy chatting with the chef.
The Edomae-zushi (Tokyo-style sushi) here is said to use Special seafood that the owner personally selects at the market. Using delicate techniques, the chef turns them into distinctive pieces.
One of the restaurant’s features is the use of different yakumi (condiments) for each ingredient, such as squid topped with truffle salt and scallops served with plum paste.
Photograph:debutada
At lunchtime, they offer two types of Omakase courses, centered on nigiri sushi and seasonal a la carte dishes.
For the nigiri sushi, they serve an assortment of 8〜9 kinds. The toppings are already seasoned, so you can enjoy them without soy sauce.

I visited for a sushi lunch! The hotate (scallop) was tender, and it was my first time having it seasoned with ume-niku (plum paste), but it was really delicious. I really enjoyed the salmon with the aroma of yuzu, and the anago (conger eel) was soft and excellent! The tuna was delicious too, needless to say!

A nice plus is that you can choose the broth from 14 varieties, including "goma tonyu (sesame soy milk)," "sukiyaki-fu (sukiyaki style)," and "kiwami wa dashi (premium Japanese broth)." You can enjoy it seasoned just the way you like.
浪速のYUTA
The sushi toppings were fresh and came in a wide variety. The salmon and chutoro (medium fatty tuna) were especially good. The side dishes were also extensive, so I could enjoy the meal without getting bored.

In addition to fresh seafood sushi such as chutoro (medium fatty tuna), shimaaji (striped jack), kinmedai (golden eye snapper), and scallop, they also have a great lineup of meat toppings like lean Wagyu, Beef Tongue, and uniku (sea urchin and meat). Every piece of nigiri had shape and flavor that went beyond what you would expect from All you can eat. The chutoro had a melt-in-your-mouth richness, at a level you would never expect from All you can eat.

Osaka Izumisano-ko Katsu-zushi is a sushi restaurant located a 3-minute walk from Umeda Station on the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line.
The interior is said to have been designed with comfort in mind. In addition to counter seats, the restaurant also offers comfortable sofa seating and table seating.
The menu features fresh fish shipped directly from Izumisano Port, and it is popular for being reasonably priced.
The sushi stands out for toppings such as sesame seeds and kombu kelp placed over the neta (sushi topping), and people say it is not only delicious but also visually appealing thanks to its beautiful presentation.

The hosomaki (thin sushi rolls) packed tightly with fillings also seem to be popular.
The “Hamideru Torotaku” in the photo is a dish where toro (fatty tuna) and ikura (salmon roe) boldly spill out beyond the shari (sushi rice). With every bite, the rich flavor of toro fat spreads across your palate.

Jun-chan Sushi is a sushi restaurant located a 5-minute walk from Namba Station on the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line.
The interior, softly lit with indirect lighting, feels wonderfully comfortable. In addition to counter seats, there are also table seats that are perfect for meals with close friends or family.

They serve hearty sushi made with fresh seafood sourced from Kuromon Ichiba (Kuromon Market).
Among them, the sushi piled high with uni (sea urchin) and ikura (salmon roe) is especially popular. It looks great and tastes great too, for a very Manzoku experience.
Photograph:ne❁︎
The most popular item, “torotaku (fatty tuna and pickled daikon),” is a dish with eye catching colors.
The toro (fatty tuna) has just the right amount of fat and is said to melt in your mouth. The crunchy texture of the takuan (pickled daikon) is said to be addictive.
hirotaka1977
Everything I tried at this restaurant was delicious. The toro-taku (fatty tuna and pickled daikon roll) was the best I’ve ever had. The toppings were fresh too, including uni (sea urchin) and ikura (salmon roe) piled on so high it was almost spilling over, and I was very Manzoku. This is the kind of place I’d like to visit as a reward for working hard.

Uoshin Minami Ten is a sushi restaurant located a 5-minute walk from Namba Station on the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line.
Inside, there are table seats and a lively counter. It sounds like a place you can visit with ease whether on your own or in a group.
Photograph:くいしんぼうスライム
The topping is about 3 times the usual size. Its bold look is part of the appeal, and it is the kind of sushi you will want to capture in a photo.
The photo shows “hamachi (yellowtail) no tare nigiri.” The topping is so large that it hangs down from the shari (vinegared sushi rice), and it apparently gives a real sense of Manzoku when you take a bite.
Photograph:そじゅん★
The most popular item, Anago Tomoe Nigiri, is a menu item in which anago (conger eel) wraps once around the sushi rice. One of its big draws is the length of the topping, which is so long it still hangs over even after wrapping around once.
The anago is said to be plump and tender, with perfectly balanced seasoning.

Uogokoro is very generous in portion size, so you can leave feeling very Manzoku. Every piece will make you go, “So good~♪”. This is a sushi restaurant I highly recommend⭐︎

The sushi comes plated two pieces at a time. The sushi is very filling to begin with. I started by ordering anago (conger eel). It was delicious. After that, I ordered ika (squid), ikura (salmon roe), iwashi (sardine), unagi (eel), and akagai (ark shell), but the toppings were so large that I quickly felt Manpuku.

Tokisushi Honten is a sushi restaurant located an 8-minute walk from Namba Station on the JR Kansai Main Line.
The restaurant offers several types of seating, including counter seats, table seating, and ozashiki (tatami seating), so it works well for many different occasions. It is also recommended for casual food outings and lunch.

The sushi uses fresh neta (toppings) that have just been landed at Izumisano Gyoko (Izumisano Fishing Port). They are also particular about the shari (sushi rice), even changing the rice blend ratio with the seasons.
Sushi made with never frozen nama-maguro (fresh tuna) and seafood from each of the four seasons is also popular.
Photograph:ミキサー大帝
The popular menu item sushi-yaki (grilled sushi) seems to be available to order either A la carte or as an assortment.
By searing the surface of the topping with a burner, they concentrate its flavor. When you take a bite, the toasty aroma and the sweetness of the fat seem to spread all at once.
かんあじ92
There were so many options that it was hard to choose, but I went with maguro (tuna), tai (sea bream), hamachi (yellowtail), shrimp, and salmon. Every piece had a large topping and tasted great, but the seared salmon from the Salmon Zanmai platter was especially good.

Sushi Hana is a sushi restaurant located a 5-minute walk from Nagahoribashi Station on the Osaka Metro Sakaisuji Line.

The sushi at this restaurant is appealing for the way it lets you enjoy the fresh toppings and the rice as one. Their experienced chefs carefully select Special lively toppings, they say.
The rice is formed into slightly smaller pieces, so you can enjoy many different toppings in one visit, they say.
They offer not only standard sushi toppings but also single pieces with carefully thought out touches.
The "Me-negi Shiromi Maki" in the photo also gets good reviews for its surprising combination. The refined umami of the shiromi (white fish) is said to go well with the fresh aroma of me-negi (sprouted green onion).

I love sushi so much〜Every item on the menu is filling, the toppings are thick, and I was happy that everything came out quickly! The oysters were bigger than I expected, nice and milky, and I loved them. They had frozen Japanese sake, and the icy texture felt fresh and fun. Everything was delicious! The sushi was great of course, but the a la carte dishes were amazingly good too. The nama-gaki ponzu (raw oysters with ponzu sauce) had very large, plump oysters with a rich, creamy taste that was excellent. The yaki-hamaguri (grilled clam) was also packed with umami. I was very Manzoku with the sushi too.

Sushi made with a strong focus on freshness is very popular. Using seafood delivered fresh from the market every morning, skilled chefs carefully shape each piece by hand.

For nigiri toppings like kawahagi (filefish) and shellfish, they seem to take them straight from the fish tank in the restaurant and prepare them on the spot before serving.
These toppings really stand out for their freshness, and they say you can enjoy an almost bursting umami the moment you put them in your mouth.
ハイサイまさる
The hon-maguro (bluefin tuna) lean meat is cheap and tasty. The kuruma ebi (Japanese tiger prawn) is very fresh and springy, and the head is grilled until crisp and fragrant, making the sake go down easy. The tako (octopus) lets you enjoy both the crunchy texture of the suckers and the sweetness of the flesh, which is finely scored with a knife. Since I heard all the fish was good, I ordered chirashi-zushi (scattered sushi) and sushi with crab and shirasu (whitebait). Every topping was fresh and tasty! The pieces were large, so it felt very Manzoku.

The menu lineup is varied, so you can enjoy sushi, have drinks and small plates like at an izakaya, or go for a set meal with rice. This time, we mainly had sushi. The toppings were nicely thick, and both the freshness and flavor were spot on.

Ganso 343 Sushi Honten is a sushi restaurant located a 1-minute walk from Daikokucho Station on the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line.
If you want to watch the sushi chefs at work right in front of you, the counter seats are recommended. There is also Sunken kotatsu seating where you can relax and enjoy your meal.
The filling sushi, topped with two layers of neta (sushi topping), is well liked. A popular way to enjoy it is to eat the first layer as sashimi, then enjoy the second layer as sushi.
The shari (sushi rice) is cooked on the firm side, with mild acidity.

If you cannot decide which sushi to try, the "Itacho Tokusei! Omakase assortment" is also a great choice. It is an assortment where the chef makes nigiri with the fish purchased that day as an Omakase.
The lineup changes with the seasons, so you can take your time and enjoy fresh seasonal flavors.

They had a wide range of seafood dishes, and both the sashimi platter and nigiri were excellent. The Sea Bream nigiri in particular was so good I would want to eat it again and again. The presentation of the dishes was also bright and eye-catching, and everything looked great in photos. I would like to visit again if I am nearby.

The sushi comes in a neta on neta style, so you first enjoy it as ozukuri (sliced sashimi), then as sushi! The toppings are fresh, and the restaurant is clean, so it was the kind of place I’d want to visit anytime!!

Courses centered on nigiri sushi (hand-formed sushi), as well as reservation-only sushi kaiseki (traditional multi-course meal), are also recommended.
The sushi on offer ranges widely from classics to seasonal toppings brought in that day. Some are made with unique ideas, so you may discover a new side of sushi.

I had the luxury of relaxing at the counter as if I had the place all to myself. The sushi was both beautiful to look at and delicious. The portion was also generous, and I left feeling full.

A seasonal Omakase course that combines seasonal à la carte dishes with nigiri sushi is popular.
The hidden knife work in the sushi toppings is a technique unique to a craftsman with many years of experience. It gives the sushi a smooth mouthfeel and lets the natural flavors of the ingredients spread across the palate.

Before the sushi, they served a few small dishes, and every one of them was delicious. As for the sushi, the sawara was so good I wanted another piece. I was able to spend a very relaxing time.

Reliably the best performance! The flavors are solid. The dashi is gentle, and they carefully ask about your preferences, including any sushi items you do not like, which makes the drinks go down well. I am a repeat customer!

This place is known for top class Edomae-zushi (Edo-style sushi) made with fresh toppings and unique recipes. They take great care with every step, such as adjusting the aging time to match each type of fish and using three kinds of akazu (red vinegar) for the shari (sushi rice).
Among the highlights, the nigiri made with hon-maguro (bluefin tuna) from carefully selected production regions that change with the season is said to be a must try.
They also offer a wide selection of drinks that pair well with Edomae-zushi (Edo-style sushi), including Japanese sake, wine, and shochu (Japanese distilled spirit).
They change the production regions and labels with the seasons, so one of the appeals is getting to discover new drinks every time you visit.
Every piece of sushi was very delicious. At the counter seats, we could watch the chef’s movements as they shaped and rolled the sushi, which made the wait enjoyable too.

Starting with hamo (pike conger) and moving on to bites like aged katsuo (bonito), the sushi came with small portions of rice seasoned with red vinegar, and the toppings were both wide-ranging and delicious, from unusual choices like aged sawara (Spanish mackerel) to classics like toro and uni.
