To sum it up: the food here exceeded all expectations. Every dish was executed to perfection. Honestly, the grilled soft-shelled turtle was far superior to what I had the previous day. On top of that, the value for money is outstanding. If you can secure a reservation, this is an absolute must-visit.

We were able to make a reservation just two days in advance. The course menu was a celebration of autumn, featuring seasonal ingredients such as ikura (salmon roe), matsutake mushrooms, and deep-fried fugu (pufferfish kara-age). Each dish showcased the best flavors of the season, with an impressive variety of ingredients. By the end of the meal, we were quite full and requested to have the portions adjusted. Considering both the generous portions and the quality, this is an excellent restaurant.

Visited for the first time in about a year. The deep-fried snow crab fishcake was a great way to start the meal, though I was hoping for a slightly richer flavor. The grilled mochi with karasumi sandwiched inside was excellent, as were today’s selections of Oita tiger pufferfish and winter yellowtail. Guchoku Ni offers authentic kaiseki cuisine in a relaxed, casual setting at a reasonable price. The Sarashina soba was also delicious. I look forward to returning again soon.

I usually don't drink much Japanese sake, but it was so good that I couldn't resist having more. The wild boar ground meat takikomi gohan was so delicious I forgot to take a photo. I plan to visit again around June. Looking forward to it!
