I went back to my parents' house. My sister made a reservation at Kisoji for a meal with my family of four. This time, we went to the Kobutsu-me store again. The reservation was made at 11:00, the opening time. We arrived 5 minutes before. There was no one there lol We secured a spot next to the entrance. It's always full and difficult to park, but it's easy before opening time. Actually, this restaurant will be undergoing renovation work from January 9th. They're going to get rid of the private tatami rooms and make all the seats chair-style. The seat I reserved this time was also a chair seat by the window. It's hard to take photos because of the shadows cast through the window blinds lol It's only a decent store that will lend you a sunshade cloth to cover your jacket when you take it off. Since we're all getting older, we gave up on the fatty marbled beef and ordered four servings of [b:New Year's special menu] ``[b: shabu shabu domestic beef loin @ 4290]''. By the way, from January 1st to 4th, 10% of the food and drink price will be charged as a service charge lol I don't like kaiseki meals because they tend to have a lot of cold dishes. The appetizers came immediately. Red and white pickled vegetables with herring roe and salmon roe on top. The hot pot was set, and condiments came, and we could choose between sesame sauce, ponzu sauce, and rice between five grains and white rice. By the time the pickles arrived, the water was boiling and the meat was served. Since we were there, we asked the waiter to cook it for us first lol https://youtu.be/OzPvcHafet0 As expected, the meat was boiled to perfection! Wow, they look like wealthy people lol After that, we added vegetables and devoured them ourselves lol It was delicious meat. The vegetables were Chinese cabbage and bean sprouts, raw shiitake mushrooms, carrots, tofu, wakame seaweed, vermicelli, etc. I thought it was a big shimeji mushroom, but it was "Buna Queen". I thought the taste was the same as Bunashimeji though lol (Damn, I forgot to take a picture of the meat and vegetables lol) After the meat and vegetables are washed down, they put in the mochi and kishimen noodles. The kishimen noodles here are wide and chewy. Finally, for dessert, you can choose from vanilla ice cream, matcha ice cream, yuzu sorbet, or warabi mochi. I went for "[b:yuzu]". The yuzu is really refreshing after the meat. I didn't order any extra meat but I was still quite satisfied. Kisoji's meat is really tasty.
