| Restaurant highlights |
Izumo Taisha Shrine's "Okuni Chaya" is a beloved local spot for soba and Izumo Nita rice zenzai.
Izumo, the birthplace of Zenzai. Our shop, located just a stone's throw from Izumo Taisha, was the first to serve Zenzai on Kamimon Street over 30 years ago. We use locally sourced Nita rice from Shim...ane Prefecture for the mochi, and the adzuki beans are the premium Daifuku adzuki from Hokkaido. The chewy texture of the mochi combined with the subtly sweet adzuki will bring you happiness with every bite.
Additionally, our soba noodles, made from fresh ingredients sourced from a local long-established noodle shop, can be enjoyed in various styles, including the classic San-shoku Wariko.
Please take a break and visit us after exploring Izumo Taisha. We look forward to welcoming you!
