Kyogoku Sushi has been established for 70 years in Nagahama, Shiga Prefecture, and is a traditional neighborhood sushi shop that has been run by three generations. Whether you choose the "omakase nigiri" at the counter, which focuses solely on sushi, or the "omakase sushi kaiseki" that includes various dishes, we want our customers to enjoy sushi in their preferred style, whether that means admiring the selection in the case and consulting with the chef for custom orders. We aim to create a genuine sushi experience that makes our customers feel, "This is how a sushi shop should be."

Sushi is written as "鮨". It means to make fish delicious. At the Kanazawa Omicho Market, fish shops in Shizuoka Yaizu, local lake fish shops, and from local fishermen, we carefully select and procure exquisite fish, which our artisans transform into sushi with meticulous attention to detail and effort. Since our establishment, we have upheld the tradition of Kansai sushi passed down from my grandfather's generation, while also respecting the Edo-style sushi techniques learned by the third generation during their training. We are dedicated to pursuing a type of sushi that can only be found in this region, "Omi".
