: Bar Calm

We made a reservation for two people and one dog at 1 PM on Sunday. We arrived early and entered the restaurant 20 minutes before our reservation, of course with our dog.
The terrace had a lovely atmosphere, but it was still a bit hot, so we chose to sit indoors.
Since they only accept reservations, there was just one other couple in the restaurant. The man seemed to be the chef, while the woman appeared to be in charge of service. They were both very friendly, and the chef even asked if he could take a picture of our dog with his camera.
The ordering was done via a tablet. We had the option of a lunch course or a la carte, so we ordered the lunch course for JPY 3500, which included a main pasta dish, an appetizer, and drinks before and after the meal.
We could choose from 5 to 6 types of pasta. I went with the cheese and black pepper pasta, while my companion chose the Arrabbiata.
First, we were served a refreshing cold corn soup. It was just a small portion, but it was sweet, light, and delicious.
Next came the surprisingly generous appetizer platter with three different dishes. At first, I thought it was for two people, but it turned out to be one for each of us!
The balsamic mushrooms were delightful, with large, plump mushrooms. The ratatouille-style dish was also tasty, with a nice texture from the vegetables.
Of course, the grapes were sweet and delicious as well. The appetizers were quite filling!
Next was the main pasta dish. At first, I thought the portion was a bit small, but it turned out to be quite satisfying.
The pasta was cooked al dente, which was perfect. The cheese was fluffy and aromatic, and it paired well with the pasta.
We finished with iced tea.
This was definitely a great deal.
