心地よい環境、心地よい味わい : KARIYADO CAFE

KARIYADO CAFE, named after the historic post town between Nakakaruizawa and Oiwake, has become known for its delicious, carefully crafted dishes and desserts, as well as a relaxing atmosphere, in the two and a half years since opening.
That day, I opted for a hamburger, which featured amazing homemade bacon, a perfectly balanced sauce, and a patty made from Shinshu beef, all in the best harmony with the buns. Although it was quite substantial, I finished it in no time.

At the very popular KARIYADO CAFE, where deliciousness and comfort come together, the weather was perfect for enjoying the lovely terrace.
Of course, both the ambiance and the food welcomed us with immense warmth.
I sat at a terrace table, thoroughly indulging in a juicy and delicious burger accompanied by fragrant homemade bacon, getting my hands and face messy in the process!

On a pleasant autumn day in Karuizawa, I enjoyed lunch at KARIYADO CAFE.
I held back my craving for a hamburger and chose the "Carbonara" instead.
Not only is it about the deliciousness, but they also prioritize the health of the diners by making their own homemade bacon.
The sauce, made without heavy cream, perfectly combines eggs and cheese at just the right temperature and timing. It melds beautifully with the umami and aroma of the sautéed bacon, creating a truly memorable dish.
This is not just a meal crafted with superficial techniques or basic flavors; it tells a heartfelt story of deliciousness.
This charming restaurant puts in daily effort and continuously improves to make their dishes even more delightful.

Perhaps lured by the pleasant weather, I decided to visit KARIYADO CAFE alone for some delicious burgers and pudding.

The KARIYADO Burger, continuously refined, has become even more delicious. The buns, sauce, and sides have all changed. With the addition of homemade bacon, it has a nostalgic base flavor that balances perfectly with its unique taste.
The pudding is wonderfully firm, just how I like it. The slightly bitter caramel sauce and fresh cream are irresistible.
Ah, how I envy the people of Karuizawa for having such a fantastic place nearby!

KARIYADO CAFE, which just opened this month, is a rare gem where you can enjoy delicious breakfast.
On this particular day, the breakfast menu featured three options: a Japanese set meal, a fish set meal, and a Western-style set meal. I decided to try the Japanese and Western set meals.
The Japanese set featured soboro rice, simmered sardines with umeboshi, and a comforting tonjiru known as KARIYADO soup. Each dish was so delicious that I was honestly surprised.
In particular, the KARIYADO soup was so good that I felt it could stand alone as a restaurant dish.
The Western set included a salad made with fresh vegetables and nut dressing, a chowder soup packed with clams, and freshly baked bread served with yogurt topped with mixed berry jam.
The homemade bread that day was a gentle-flavored apple bread.
If it were close to my home, I would want to come here every week for this healthy and tasty breakfast.
With a lunch menu, desserts, and an extensive wine selection, I can't wait to visit again.
