Breakfast
Located on the 5th floor, the restaurant offers a stunning view.

1. Tomato juice, milk from Kozu Farm, apple juice from Miyajima Apple Orchard

2. Homemade bread, jam, apple butter, butter from Kozu Farm

3. Today's soup
A hearty soup filled with ingredients

4. Seasonal vegetable main plate
Scallops, eggplant, Amela tomato, prosciutto

5. Salad

6. Yogurt, fruits, granola

Coffee, tea, herbal tea

Each item is high quality and packed with vegetables.
It seems like you could get over 30 different ingredients in this breakfast.

Shareholder fair pricing:
Main building: JPY 55,000
Villa: JPY 77,000 per person
I reserved the villa since the main building was fully booked.
It's amazing!

A completely independent house with a wide living room,
two bedrooms,
a mini kitchen,
and, of course, an outdoor bath-like indoor bath.

Each room has a spacious terrace in front.

I felt like a celebrity that day.

Staying in this room alone is worth the price at this hotel.

In July 2021, I stayed at THE HIRAMATSU Karuizawa during the Hiramatsu shareholders' fair.

The main building costs JPY 55,000,
while the villa is JPY 77,000 per person.
Since the main building was fully booked, I reserved a villa.

Arriving in Miyota, there was no hint of Karuizawa just a typical rural landscape.

Suddenly, a vast site comes into view,
with beautifully maintained greenery surrounding the area.
It's like entering another world.

I will share details about the villa accommodations and breakfast next time.

First, let’s talk about dinner.

The restaurant is located on the first floor of the main building,
with a calm ambiance facing a spacious terrace.

The shareholders' fair included wine pairings,
starting with a champagne named after Hiramatsu.

2. Yosenofu (tofu), sea urchin, port wine
An appetizer leaning heavily towards Japanese flavors.

3. Sweetfish, winter melon, Saku ancient cucumber
Fried sweetfish, concentrated bitterness, very delicious.

4. Consommé royal, Yamabushitake mushroom, truffle
This has a Chinese twist,
with a fragrant hint of truffle.

5. Seabass, zucchini, champagne sauce
A refined dish—the seabass was delicious.

6. Duck, young corn, Daidokuji natto
Duck with concentrated umami flavor.

7. Mugwort, fromage blanc.

8. Soybean, white beer, rhubarb.

9. Petit fours
Miniature treats served in a birdhouse.

This course frequently used local products,
making it an elegant meal incorporating elements of Japanese cuisine.
Though it could use a bit more punch.

I also enjoyed a pairing of six varieties that included Japanese sake.
