Located at the Karuizawa Outlet, this restaurant is a bit away from the food court and dining spots, so when I visited in the evening during a holiday, it was quite empty! (As someone with kids, I'm grateful for a less crowded place.)

Comes with rice, miso soup, a small serving of soba, and kinpira gobo (stir-fried burdock root).
The tofu katsu has a gentle, healthy flavor, transforming the usual katsu don. The miso soup felt like a hearty version without the pork, filled with plenty of ingredients.
The kinpira gobo was soothing for my tired stomach after all the holiday eating and drinking! (Laughs)
The soba was so easy to eat that I couldn't really discern the flavor, but it was tasty nonetheless!

I ordered this a la carte and shared it with my husband. There was quite a large portion, so adding plenty of toppings made half a serving just right. We enjoyed this as well!
While the menu options were limited, the quiet, peaceful atmosphere of a Daotia-style restaurant at the outlet was wonderful! It was a great meal.
