★Takeout★ |
A 2-night, 3-day trip to Shinshu.
The last place we visited was the Karuizawa Outlet.
This facility is very convenient as dogs are allowed to accompany shoppers. It’s spacious with grassy areas and a dog run, making it an ideal spot to spend time with your furry friend.
During our shopping, we bought a business bag at a 40% discount and a Le Creuset gratin dish at a 20% discount. Quite a bargain! \(+_<)/
After wandering around for about 4 hours, we finished up right after 6 PM. It seemed like a good time to head home, but when we exited the parking lot, there was a major traffic jam (*_*).
I had planned to have dinner at our usual Dog Dept, but it seemed like it would take a long time to get there, so we turned around and went back to the outlet again.
This time, we decided to have hamburgers. KUA 'AINA is a restaurant from Hawaii that I had visited a few times and had always wanted to try here in Japan.
Once inside, we saw 5-6 groups waiting to order and joined the queue in the Hawaiian atmosphere. However, the line was barely moving.
While I could get my order at McDonald's in 2-3 minutes, we ended up waiting over 15 minutes, which was a bit disappointing.
Finally, it was our turn. I ordered a cheeseburger and an avocado cheeseburger, along with a Cobb salad. When I was asked to choose a dressing for the salad, I was surprised.
Isn't Cobb salad supposed to come with Cobb dressing?
However, they didn't have it, so I went with Caesar dressing... It would have made more sense to just call it a Caesar salad! ( `д´)
After placing our order, we were informed it would take another 15 minutes for the food to be ready, so we had to wait again. Maybe we should have chosen a different restaurant after all (^_^;)
When our burgers finally arrived, I added ketchup and mustard from the table, tasting them just as they were.
The patty was meaty and delicious, but the bun was overcooked and dry, while the fries were lukewarm, which was disappointing.
The Cobb salad with Caesar dressing and chicken didn’t match very well. I would have preferred sweet Cobb dressing to complement the salty toppings.
I felt like the burgers were better when I had them in Hawaii.
It took an hour for the meal, and when we left the parking lot, the traffic had cleared up. Although that was a relief, it felt like it took too long (*_*).
As expected with American-sized portions, I was very full. It was a great meal! (*^▽^)/★*☆♪
