Karuisawa Senju Hiroshi Art Museum Attached. Enjoy a relaxing time in our eat-in space.
A long-established bakery founded in 1933, located in Karuizawa, Nagano Prefecture. We are dedicated to quality ingredients and continue to challenge ourselves with new breads while preserving the traditional flavors developed over many years. |
【2021/10/31】 Boulangerie Asanoya, Senju Hiroshi Museum
When I arrived early in the morning for breakfast at my target restaurant, I found cars waiting to enter, with their hazard lights on, stretching out onto the street. It appeared that about 20 people were lined up outside. Now, what to do? I needed to find another place.
After some consideration, I decided to try the Boulangerie Asanoya, conveniently located next to the Senju Hiroshi Museum, which offers both eat-in and take-away options. I parked in the spacious lot and entered the uniquely designed building of "Boulangerie Asanoya," which is separate from the museum.
The interior was still quite empty. In the area where the bread was displayed, I selected sandwiches for eat-in and bread for take-out, then brought them to the register. I specified the bread I wanted to eat in and ordered a drink. After paying for the take-out bread, I packed it into an eco-friendly bag.
The items I purchased included:
- Three types for take-out, including Fruit Rye
- For eat-in:
- BLT Sandwich
- Egg Sandwich
- Seafood Salad
- Coffee
I carried the platter with my eat-in items to the designated area.
After savoring my breakfast slowly, I found myself drawn to the apple pie and decided to buy more.
- 3 Kakyu Apple Pies: JPY 1,140
There are many bakeries in Karuizawa. Starting with Asanoya, founded in 1933, which originally has its main store in Tokyo but has since become a staple in Karuizawa, there are also many newly opened bakeries from Tokyo and elsewhere. It looks like my bakery tours will soon be quite enjoyable.
