A stylish cafe that my friend A found during her trip to Kusatsu last year when she returned temporarily from France!
I heard they have amazing quiches, so I made my way to Karuizawa for some shopping at the outlet and to enjoy their delicious quiche.
This charming spot, CHELSEA'S GARDEN CAFE, is just a 1-2 minute drive from Harunire Terrace.
The parking lot is spacious and the building is adorable, which already lifts my spirits before I even walk in.
The sign is cute, and the lovely slope leading to the entrance is delightful!
There are both indoor and terrace seating, and of course, we opted for the terrace.
Even though it was past 2 PM, it was quite busy.
I even saw some people with dogs! They allow dogs on the terrace.
The lunch menu includes handmade pasta, French toast, salads, and sausages.
I ordered the quiche recommended by my food-loving friend A, but to my dismay... there were no quiches left!
It seems they are quite popular and many people make reservations.
What a disappointment, but I'll save it for next time; I ordered the French toast while my friend chose the handmade pasta.
When the French toast arrived, I couldn't help but exclaim in awe!
It looked beautiful with various vegetables and a fresh salad, and it really lifted my spirits.
The country-style French toast was fantastic! Both the salad and the French toast were absolutely delicious!
My friend's handmade pasta was unlike any gnocchi she had ever had, so I had to take a bite, and it was just as amazing!
Dessert and drinks were included, but we couldn't resist ordering some sweets as well.
The interior is stylish, and there’s a lovely garden, leaving me with a blissful feeling.
Next time, I will definitely come back to claim my quiche! I’m also curious about their homemade granola available only on weekends.
