You can't go wrong thinking that most places on Kyu-Karuizawa Ginza are a miss.
A tourist spot rarely has good food.
While that's mostly true, this humble restaurant definitely serves delicious dishes.
A friend who has a vacation home here recommended it to me.
It feels more like a casual Western-style eatery catering to locals rather than tourists.
The Omurice with demi-glace sauce and the menchi-katsu are popular choices.
I ordered the chicken stewed in tomato sauce, and it was hearty and filling.
Overall, I give it ★4.
