高校くらいの時に初めてチキン南蛮を食べ衝撃を受けた。
以来、それは私の中でお好み焼きらと並んで三大好物となり未だにその地位にいる。
そして今回はその発祥宮崎県で元祖と謳われるこちらにお邪魔しました。
コロナの影響をものともせず行列が…しかし、うまく捌いているのかほどなくして入店となりました。老舗らしいですが、店内は凄く綺麗でキッチンのようすも伺えて◎
ランチ時だからなのかメニューは南蛮、たたき、もも焼きの3本勝負と強気。値段も高めで期待が高まります。待つ間にはジュージューともも焼きを焼く様子や、菜箸で卵をパッパッと絡めてチキンを閉じ込める様子、さらにボルテージは上がります。そしていよいよ実食！
チーン！
タレは甘酸っぱく、タルタルなし。これは既に把握しており全然問題なくうまい。
しかーし、しかーし、
サクサクに見えた衣は逆にその卵が故にモサモサ。胸肉のパサパサと相まってもっさもっさの食感。
これがかなりいただけない。
タルタルをなしにして素材と衣と甘酢ソースで勝負しているだけに食感はかなり大事。
こんなものと言われたらそれまでだが、うーん。
これに1000円か。言うてもただの胸肉。
これに並ぶのか…
もも肉は旨そうでしたが、それを挑戦する気もちょっと起きないかな。
モモはちなみに1300円
チーン。完全に有名税です。最初からこの値段設定だったんだろうか。
