I went to this restaurant on a business trip to Sendai yesterday with a colleague for an early year-end party. My colleague had made a reservation, so I said my name at the entrance and entered. As soon as I got off the elevator, I was at the entrance, but there was already a staff member there, so I thought, maybe they had a lot of reservations, even though it was a weekday yesterday. The restaurant is actually on an upper floor, but it seemed to be full of reservations except for the pair seats by the window, so it was busy. The restaurant was interesting in that the seats we sat in were in a private room in the back, but when we were guided to the seats, we looked around and saw that there were seats on a mezzanine floor. After we sat down, the staff asked us if we wanted all-you-can-drink, so we asked for all-you-can-drink. Since it's the first thing they ask, it may be a restaurant with a high demand for such drinks. When they confirmed our first drink, they explained that the appetizer was crab chawanmushi and asked if we had any allergies. We didn't have any allergies, but I felt that it was a good thing that they checked. The appetizer chawanmushi was also a nice first dish. I ordered mainly from the recommended menu, hoping to get something from the region, but as I often go to Hokkaido, I was reminded that the way to say "milt ponzu" varies from region to region. In Hokkaido, it's called "tachipon", but what about Sendai? I don't know if it's the whole of Tohoku, but "tarakiku" was clearly listed as a recommendation, so I felt it was regional. It may be the times, but since the order was placed on an iPad, it felt a little bland in terms of the season and region, but maybe that can't be helped. It was delicious. Thank you very much.
