The course is put together to let the quality of the ingredients come through directly. What stood out most was the precise cooking, with the lean meat keeping a moist texture while still delivering plenty of flavor. The vegetables on the side did not get in the way of the main item either, making it a well-balanced plate overall.

I visited to celebrate a friend's birthday. We booked a course meal. By the time we left the restaurant, we were so full it almost hurt lol. The portions were amazing, anyway. Each dish was a solid size, which was great. We got to enjoy both fish and meat, and we were very satisfied. You can really feel the care they put into it. I thought it was a hidden gem. The restaurant also had a nice, calm atmosphere.

BUBU

This popular bistro lets you enjoy great food made with seasonal ingredients along with natural wine. It is about a 2-minute walk from Sakurayama Station in Mizuho Ward, Nagoya.

The interior, which offers counter and table seating, is slightly dim and has a nice atmosphere that is perfect for enjoying the food without feeling formal.

The menu seems to focus mainly on à la carte dishes, with a style where you choose from the blackboard menu. The offerings appear to change with the seasons.

The standard menu item “charcuterie assortment” is said to be delicious in every single part. It comes loaded with pâté, liver mousse, ham, and more.

The main dishes are hearty and so tasty they go great with drinks. The menu also seems to include gibier (game meat) dishes made with venison and duck.

The roasted wild boar thigh ordered that day was said to be moist and tender, with no off notes.

The charcuterie assortment is the kind of plate that goes with several glasses of wine all by itself✨The pâté de campagne is nicely aromatic, and the rich flavor of the liver gently spreads across the palate. The duck and pork rillettes are also carefully made, with smooth, mellow fat〜

Every dish was excellent and delicious, but please make sure to order the bouillabaisse! It is packed with chunky seafood, and the rich soup soaked with the deep umami of fish and shellfish is more than words can describe. (I just can’t do it justice.) If you go, I really hope you try it. This is truly the “King of Bouillabaisse”♡

たーBooo!!!

The food leaves a strong impression, especially the chicken dish with its skin grilled until fragrant. The rich flavor of the fat comes through nicely, and the simple seasoning makes the wine go down even more easily. The slight bitterness of the shishito (mild green pepper) served on the side also adds a nice accent. The dessert comes plated on a small dish, and while the portion is modest, it feels just right to round off the meal. Overall, it gives the impression of a menu designed to come together with wine.

bistro La vie

This bistro is popular for serving hearty dishes while staying true to the traditions of French cuisine.

With a space where you can relax and feel at ease, it also welcomes solo diners and guests with children. The warm and spacious atmosphere seems to be part of its charm.

One of the first things you will want to order when you visit is the “charcuterie assortment.” It is this restaurant’s specialty, served by a chef with experience working at a German restaurant.

It comes with 13 to 14 different items, and they recommend enjoying it with French wine Special selected by the sommelier.

After enjoying plenty of Appetizers, you will want to take your time with the main dishes made with fish and meat.

Not only the meat but also the fish is carefully selected, and they reportedly bring in the best fish landed in Ise-wan (Ise Bay) by direct shipment. The photo shows a gratin made with quenelles of natural madai (Sea Bream).

・Charcuterie assortment
This much for just per person! We cut it with a knife and split it for two, but it was still a huge portion. It came with a wide variety of items, including bacon, pork ham, duck ham, pâté, and liver paste, and every one of them tasted great. The fat was especially good, which surprised us. The mustard pairs well too.

The foie gras here isn’t heavy at all, yet it’s still rich, so it’s incredibly delicious! As for the lamb, I’m really not a fan of lamb myself, but it had none of the distinctive off notes that lamb often has, and it was by far the best and most delicious lamb I’ve ever had! This is one of my favorite restaurants because no matter when I visit, they always serve really great food.
