Seiyogashi Shirotae is a popular pastry shop about a 3-minute walk from Akasaka-mitsuke Station, known for its wide variety of delicious cakes.
Cakes are sold on the 1st floor, while the 2nd floor, which has seating, has the feel of a retro cafe where you can relax and spend your time at ease.
They offer so many kinds of cakes and baked sweets that it is hard to choose, and many of the items are said to have a refined, gentle sweetness.
The drinks you can order at the cafe include not only coffee but also a full tea menu. They also have seasonal teas, so you can enjoy flavors unique to the time of year.

When visiting for the first time, you will definitely want to order their signature rare cheesecake (no-bake cheesecake). Its simple appearance leaves a strong impression.
It is said to have a rich, dense texture yet a light finish, and some say they could eat it endlessly.
ふた旅
The cream puff is also packed with so much custard that it is practically overflowing (actually, it is already overflowing a little), and it is super rich♡The choux pastry itself is very thin, so it is about 95% custard. It is basically a drink. The cafe au lait is also delicious. The atmosphere in the coffee room feels like a retro Western-style mansion and is so stylish. I really recommend eating in☺︎

I ordered the rare cheesecake and the Soder Blend. The rare cheesecake had a smooth melt-in-your-mouth texture, with a perfect balance of tartness and sweetness, just what you would expect from a shop famous for cheesecake. The Soder Blend is a black tea with a sweet aroma, so it tastes great even straight. The prices are reasonable, so it seems like a handy place for Takeout too.

To bring out the taste of the coffee even more, ordering sweets is a must.
The shop offers two kinds of cake. The orange cake is popular as a light and fluffy treat with both citrusy tartness and sweetness.

Just a short walk from Akasaka-mitsuke Station. This coffee shop has a striking exterior that stands apart from the feel of the entertainment district. The inside also had a nostalgic atmosphere, and it felt completely cut off from the noise of the city. 【Order】Mild Blend.【Thoughts】I do not know much about coffee at all, but the hand-dripped coffee I was served had a lighter color than I expected.

・Sumatora Manderin (Sumatra Mandheling)
In a shop where classical music played softly in the background, I had a superb cup of coffee, with each cup carefully drip brewed one by one. Even though it was dark roasted, the bitterness was mild, with no off flavors, making it a very tasty coffee that was clean and easy to drink‼️

For Breakfast, many people seem to enjoy the set menu with a drink, toast, and a boiled egg.
A nice point is that you can choose your favorite from 3 kinds of jam. The toast has a nice buttery aroma, and it is said to be soft inside and tasty.

When I opened the door, a classical atmosphere spread out before me. Deep wood grain walls, the soft glow of chandeliers, and a calm space. It feels as if you have slipped back in time to the Showa era.

The spacious interior lets you relax at an easy pace and forget the bustle outside, and the comfortable chairs felt very welcoming. The staff were also kind and polite. The beef curry was rich and had a nice buttery flavor, and it was very tasty. The croque madame sandwich was piping hot, generously filled, and delicious too.

The rich charcoal-roasted coffee brewed in a siphon is said to be highly aromatic, with deep body and a pleasantly bitter note spreading with every sip.
The appeal seems to be the wide lineup you would expect from a specialty shop, including blends, single-origin coffees, and arranged coffee drinks.

I stopped by this shop for a break, drawn by its sumibi baisen (charcoal-roasted) coffee. The interior has a classic feel with a touch of nostalgia. Wooden furniture and antique-style decor create a calm, relaxing space. Once I took my seat, soft jazz played in the background, making it easy to settle in and enjoy a slow, peaceful time.

Since this shop takes pride in its coffee, this time I ordered the house blend and chocolate cake. The blend was made in a siphon. It was my kind of coffee, with mild bitterness and acidity and a rich aroma. The cake also had a classic look and flavor, but the sponge was fine-textured and moist. It was not too sweet, and I enjoyed it!

They offer a wide range of light meals, full meals, and sweets, which makes it appealing that you can choose based on the occasion.
One of the most popular items is the "Kamayaki Souffle Pancake." It is served fresh from the oven while still soft and fluffy, and is enjoyed with syrup and butter. It also seems to pair very well with the slight bitterness of coffee.
美味しく食べたい!
Both the exterior and interior have the standard, slightly calm atmosphere of Hoshino Coffee.▪︎I had the Hikoboshi Blend. It had a strong bitterness and low acidity. We were able to relax and talk in a quiet setting.

This time, I ordered a set with one kama-yaki (oven-baked) soufflé pancake and hot coffee. The pancake that arrived was even better than I expected, and the texture surprised me first. It was as soft as tofu, but not so delicate that it fell apart the moment I bit into it, with just the right amount of springiness in an excellent finish.

They also offer several kinds of sweets, so you will want to enjoy one with a coffee.
The photo shows the "Retro Purin (retro pudding)" topped with plenty of whipped cream. The pudding has a firm yet smooth texture, and it goes well with the rich caramel sauce that has a slight bitterness.

Heading up to the second floor, I was relieved to find it cool and refreshing. The chairs were extremely comfortable, and the atmosphere made me want to stay for a long time. Since I had plans for a meal later, I simply ordered an iced coffee☕️It had a clean finish and was a very good cup of coffee.

I stopped by Renoir and had a cocoa. The calm lighting and quiet space were, as always, pros at helping you relax. The cocoa they brought had a soft, gentle sweetness that slowly soaked into my tired heart. It was perfectly balanced, not too rich and not too light, and tasted great down to the last sip.

A hot, easy-to-drink cup with clean-tasting milk, the rich body of milk chocolate, and a faint sweetness. The entrance to the building is small and a little hard to step into, but inside, with records and CDs covering an entire wall and JAZZ playing, the space feels retro and calm.

I visited Pansy, a long-established kissaten (Japanese-style coffee shop) in Akasaka. The interior has a calm Showa retro atmosphere, and there are about 40 seats, so you can relax and take your time. Just after 10 a.m., it is relatively uncrowded, making it a great setting for anyone who wants to enjoy coffee in peace.

The Breakfast menu is a great deal, but I had the tokusei nori toast (special seasoned seaweed toast). It makes an impact with its all-seaweed look, but the thin bread is wrapped in nori, and it has a nice mix of salty, sweet, and slightly spicy flavors.
