logic

"logic" is a donut cafe near Kanazawa 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art.

Natural light pours in through the large windows, and the interior has a minimal style that makes the most of white, wood, and light. The counter is lined with blue cabinets and coffee machines, giving it a Scandinavian-like feel.

The fluffy "lemon doughnut" is said to have a light texture and melt in your mouth.

The refreshing tartness of the lemon cream goes well with the texture of the lemon peel, making it so tasty you could want to eat it every day. It also pairs well with coffee that has a slight bitterness.

The "Far Breton Prune" has a look like a squashed canelé, and it tops far breton (a traditional confection from Brittany, France) with dried plums.

The dough is pleasantly chewy and has a gentle sweetness like custard.

This is said to be a sister shop of the popular cake shop Remref. I ordered their popular doughnut and a cafe latte. The doughnut was small and simple. It was less sweet than it looked and easy to eat. The latte was good too.

The staff were all very kind! There were so many kinds of doughnuts that it was hard to choose, but I went with pistachio and raspberry! It was so soft and really delicious! The Kanazawa 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art looked so beautiful from the upper floor. Warm sunlight streamed in, the space felt really comfortable, and my fatigue melted away while I drank good coffee.

Ufufu Donachu Honten

Ufufu Donatsu Honten, near Kanazawa Institute of Technology, is a Homemade donut shop that focuses on additive-free ingredients and local products.

Inside the building, with its white exterior walls and blue logo and door that stand out, is a simple and comforting space. Donuts line the wooden shelves, and even the time spent choosing is part of the fun.

This is the Old Fashion Glace from Ufufu Donatsu.

The sugar coated donut is said to have sugar settled into its characteristic surface cracks, letting you enjoy three layers of texture: crisp, crunchy, and moist. Reviews also say it has a somewhat nostalgic taste that you never get tired of.

In addition to the plain old-fashioned, they also offer a wide range of flavors such as strawberry, blueberry, and matcha (green tea).

The "Caramel Chocolate" in the photo is a highly satisfying item, with a crisp and fragrant old-fashioned dough enhanced by the rich flavor of caramel and the sweetness of chocolate.

I bought a strawberry doughnut. It keeps for a little while too, which was nice. They also had chocolate in lots of different flavors, and I had a hard time deciding which one to choose. The old-fashioned doughnut had a nice crisp texture on the outside and a moist texture too, and it was very delicious.

美味しいものならどこまでも

I like it because it has more moisture than an old-fashioned doughnut but still has a crispy texture‼︎It also has plenty of chocolate on it, which I like. It is on the sweet side, so if you do not like sweets, the one without chocolate might be better??As a chocolate lover, I like that it comes with lots of chocolate. I am curious about the other doughnuts too, so next time I would like to try some of the others.

Doughnuts I got as a gift! They were from Donatsu Biyori, a well-known shop even in Ishikawa. Each one was very big and had a nice crispy texture! They were packed with plenty of chocolate inside too, and tasted great! It looks like they have lots of other flavors as well, and I’d love to try different ones.

・Crunch Chocolate
This one is topped with plenty of chocolate and scattered with chocolate crunch. They use dough mixed with potato, so the dough really does have a unique lightness. The chocolate and caramel were both fairly restrained in sweetness, so it felt a tiny bit lacking, but the dough was not greasy, easy to eat, and tasty(^^)

・Zakumocchi Ring Curry & Egg
These two sides taste different, so you can eat the curry side, then the egg side, and enjoy a change of flavor (lol). It feels like enjoying both curry bread and an egg sandwich.

The Choco Fashion is a classic doughnut partly coated in chocolate. It had just the right amount of sweetness and tasted great. The shop interior and displays are neat and attractive, and they have other doughnuts that look delicious as well.

This time I bought Earl Grey. One of the best things about nama-donut (fresh donut) is how light both the cream and the donut feel, so it is easy to eat. I finished it in no time.

They had the Earl Grey I tried last time and liked, but I couldn’t find the Junnama Whip (fresh cream whipped filling). I had them at home, and the nama-donut dough was as soft, chewy, and tasty as ever. Each flavor also stood out with a solid sweetness. But still, I really wanted to eat the Junnama Whip.
