L'atelier Izumi is located in a quiet area a short walk from Sakae Station. Inside, a counter where you can enjoy the live feel of Teppan-yaki and a wine bar coexist.

The place has the feel of a hideaway for adults, and it is said to offer a nice escape from the everyday.

You can enjoy carefully selected meats here, including Teppan-yaki of Sendai gyu (Sendai beef), kuroge wagyu (Japanese Black Wagyu), and gibier (game meat).

The kuroge wagyu Tenderloin, carefully cooked on the teppan, is said to be melt-in-your-mouth tender, with an elegant sweetness that spreads across your palate. The venison is known for its moist lean flavor and is popular for being easy to enjoy without any distinctive off notes.

The "Course L'Atelier" is a course where you can enjoy small portions of seasonal ingredients.

The photo shows an omelet dish from the course. The omelet, finished on the Teppan-yaki grill, is said to be fluffy and excellent. The pairing of the sauce and omelet is wonderful, and it also goes well with wine.

jinna637

Of course, the food is cooked on a Teppan-yaki grill, but there are no flashy performances, and they create a space where you can relax and enjoy conversation. They also served each dish at just the right moment for the best flavor. The Hida-gyu (Hida beef) was of course very tender and delicious, but the omelet with duck ragout sauce and a scattering of summer truffle was so good it made the wine go down easy, and it was the best!

We ordered the course and wine pairing. From the appetizer to the main dish, everything was stylishly presented and delicious. What was Surprising was that the main meat dish came in the middle of the meal, but it felt natural in an unexpected way. The sommelier also had deep knowledge, which made it a great time for wine lovers.

It is Teppan-yaki French, but not the kind where the sauce takes center stage. The dishes make the most of the ingredients' natural flavors. The kinmedai (golden eye snapper), grilled until even the scales were crisp, was very delicious.

When you sit at the counter, you can watch the food being made right in front of you on the Teppan-yaki, which makes the wait exciting. The meaty Hamburger Steak and the Omurice with soft fluffy egg were delicious.

・Kagayaki Course
A Teppan-yaki course with both great volume and content that leaves you feeling Manzoku ✨️ The ise-ebi (spiny lobster) was especially the best ♥ It was really huge, and each person gets to eat one whole lobster. The meat was plump and springy, there was still plenty of miso (tomalley) left, and the seasoning was tasty!

It’s a small, cozy restaurant with counter seating only, and you can enjoy your meal while watching the chef cook right in front of you. The Appetizers, soup, and main dish were all incredibly good! I could hardly believe it, but for the abalone steak, they took the abalone right out of the tank and cooked it Teppan-yaki style. The meat was also cooked to a perfect medium rare.

Another nice touch is that they carefully cut it into bite-size pieces.

The "buta-tama (pork okonomiyaki)" is a dish with a softly cooked batter that spreads with the flavor of dashi (Japanese soup stock).

The contrast between the savory surface and smooth inside makes it enjoyable, and the sauce and mayonnaise add depth to the flavor. Its light texture makes it easy to eat, and many people order it between Teppan-yaki dishes.

It felt like a casual Teppan-yaki izakaya (Japanese-style pub) you can easily enjoy! The okonomiyaki (Japanese savory pancake) was light and tasty, and the meat was rich with fat and also very good!

Teppan-yaki bar FURANKEN

A 10-minute walk from Sakae Station in Nagoya, Teppan-yaki skewer grilling can be enjoyed at "Teppan-yaki bar FURANKEN." With a hideaway-like atmosphere, it is said to suit a wide range of occasions, from drinking alone to meals with friends.

Because it stays open until late at night, it is also convenient for dining at a late hour.

Teppan-yaki skewers can be ordered from just 1 skewer. The "Shinsen Reba (fresh liver)" is especially popular.

With its light texture, it is also said to be great as a snack to go with drinks.

The cheese crackers are made by grilling melted cheese and wrapping it around Ritz crackers, and it’s a great idea! It really feels like a menu item you’d expect at a Teppan-yaki restaurant. The dashimaki tamago (rolled omelet with dashi) was also tasty and reasonably priced. This is a good place for a lively night of drinks.

Teppan-yaki Bar Makoto

Located near Chubu Electric Power MIRAI TOWER, Teppan Bar Makoto is a small hideaway-style Teppan-yaki restaurant. Inside, there are only 12 seats in total, with 6 counter seats and 6 table seats.

The restaurant offers a good balance of meat, fish, and vegetables, and you can enjoy dishes that make the most of the ingredients.

The Teppan-yaki dishes are said to reflect the sensibility of a former Italian chef, bringing out the rich flavor of the meat with a fragrant sear.

Though simple, they are known for being well balanced, and many people seem to enjoy them with wine.

The "Italian fall truffle and Jiyo tamago (free-range eggs) omelet" is a luxurious dish made with plenty of fragrant truffle.

The rich taste of Jiyo tamago spreads across your mouth, and together with the flavor of the truffle, it creates a deep taste. By cooking it on the Teppan-yaki griddle, it turns out nicely browned on the outside and smooth on the inside.

The interior has a homey feel and is not large, but that is part of its charm. There is a BAR counter and one table seat. The sound and aroma of the owner cooking on the Teppan-yaki make your appetite kick in.
