Hariju Dotonbori Honten

Hariju Dotonbori Honten is a sukiyaki and shabu-shabu restaurant about a 5-minute walk from Namba Station, and it has long been loved in Osaka.

The historic Japanese-style building has a grand presence. In a space that feels like stepping back 100 years to when the restaurant first opened, you can enjoy delicious kurokegyu (Japanese Black Wagyu).

The “sukiyaki” is made with female Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black Wagyu), known for its mild flavor and smooth mouthfeel. Its melt-in-your-mouth texture and rich umami are said to leave a lasting impression after just one bite.

The warishita (sukiyaki broth) is made with dashi taken from Kuroge Wagyu bones. The rich aroma of beef is said to really whet your appetite.

For shabu-shabu (Japanese hot pot with briefly swished meat), you quickly swish top quality Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef) through the Hot Pot and enjoy it with ponzu sauce or sesame sauce.

The sesame sauce is said to be fragrant with a nice tangy kick. They also recommend adding plenty of chopped green onion and grated daikon radish to the ponzu sauce.

No matter when you see it, the visual impact of the meat plated on the dish is stunning! Each slice is very large, tender, and the fat is not heavy. They carefully prepare the first slice for you, so you can enjoy it at its very best. In the second half, the vegetables soak up the good flavor of the meat, so the vegetables also taste exceptional!

Shabu-shabu: Lean beef, napa cabbage, mizuna (potherb mustard), shiitake mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, tofu, and Malony noodles are served with ponzu sauce and sesame sauce. The ponzu sauce came with a pleasantly generous amount of grated daikon radish and chopped green onion, which made it taste light and refreshing.

Sukiyaki Shabu-shabu Tsuruya

Sukiyaki Shabu-shabu Tsuruya is a specialty restaurant for sukiyaki and shabu-shabu facing Sakaisuji, on the eastern edge of the Namba area.

You can casually enjoy shabu-shabu and sukiyaki made with Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef) such as Kobe beef. Their single serving Hot Pot lunch is said to be popular.

The popular "sukiyaki single serving Hot Pot" is served with vegetables and meat already set in the pot, in a sweet and savory warishita (sukiyaki broth).

The meat is said to be melt-in-your-mouth tender. As it simmers, the flavor changes, and the good flavor of the meat and vegetables soaks into the udon To finish.

The "shabu-shabu one person Hot Pot" lets you swish the meat through the broth on the burner right in front of you, then enjoy it with ponzu sauce or sesame sauce.

Both the Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black Wagyu) and Kobe beef are said to have a fine texture and a tender mouthfeel. Another popular point is that you can enjoy it at your own pace.

This sukiyaki (Japanese hot pot with sweet soy broth) and shabu-shabu (Japanese hot pot) restaurant stands out for the amazing quality of its meat. The marbling looked beautiful at a glance, and the meat was so tender it seemed to melt the moment it hit your mouth. The sukiyaki had a refined warishita (sukiyaki broth) that was not too sweet and really brought out the flavor of the meat. The shabu-shabu was also rich without feeling heavy, and it stayed delicious all the way to the last bite.

食べるの大好きアカウントのみい

The sukiyaki has a tasty warishita (sweet-savory broth) that is not overly sweet. The meat is light yet nicely marbled, so you can enjoy it without feeling too heavy afterward. It is at its best when you dip the freshly simmering meat into rich egg before eating. The udon to finish the meal is also well soaked with flavor and very good. The shabu-shabu comes with ponzu sauce and sesame sauce, and this was also well balanced and delicious.

Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef) Yakiniku Nikudokoro Kisshan Namba Ten

This Yakiniku restaurant is about a 3-minute walk from Nankai Namba Station, on the 8th floor of Namba Takashimaya. In addition to Yakiniku, you can enjoy a wide variety of menu items such as sukiyaki and shabu-shabu.

The calm Japanese-style interior also has Private rooms, making this a good choice for many different occasions.

For "sukiyaki (Japanese hot pot with beef and vegetables)," they prepare it Kansai style by grilling the meat first and coating it with seasoning. They add the vegetables afterward. The staff does the cooking, so you can enjoy it at the perfect doneness.

They use finely textured Wagyu with a melt in your mouth texture. Diners praise it for being tender and rich in sweetness.

The "Kuroge Wagyu hitsumabushi (rice dish eaten in several ways)" is made with thinly sliced Kuroge Wagyu steak served over rice and topped with sauce. You can enjoy it in three different ways, each with a different taste.

First, enjoy the meat as is, then add yakumi (condiments), and finally pour over dashi (broth) and enjoy it like ochazuke (rice with tea or broth).

A luxurious sukiyaki roast made with one slice of Domestic beef Strip loin! The quality of the egg is on another level. Even near the end of the course, the rich flavor of the meat fat and the egg are so good I could eat three bowls of white rice lol

Every cut of Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef) was tender, and the Special kalbi and loin in particular had a great balance of sweet fat and rich lean flavor. They also offer a wide range of rare cuts, and I was happy that the staff carefully explained the best doneness and recommended ways to enjoy them. The side dishes like namul (seasoned vegetable dishes), kimchi, and reimen (cold noodles) were also well seasoned, and they paired well with wine and shochu (Japanese distilled spirit). It was a place where you can enjoy Yakiniku at a relaxed pace in a calm atmosphere.

Kunsei Sugiya Shoten

This smoked food specialty restaurant is located on the 4th floor of Shinsaibashi European Building, about a 2-minute walk from Exit 14 of Namba Station.

This stylish spot feels like a hideaway, with no sign showing the name of the restaurant. Along with smoked dishes, it is also popular for its unique sukiyaki, made with special care for the warishita (sukiyaki broth) and sauce.

The "Kunsei Sukiyaki (smoked sukiyaki)" is a winter-only menu item where you can enjoy the smoky aroma unique to smoking and two kinds of dipping sauces.

The smoked egg dipping sauce has a rich taste, while the tomato sorbet is refreshing.

The "16-hour smoked grilled cheese" is a popular menu item made by cold-smoking cheese for 16 hours and grilling the surface until crisp.

It is said to be an addictive dish, with a nicely balanced smoky aroma, a crisp bite, and melty cheese texture. It also goes perfectly with drinks.

It’s rare to have sukiyaki (Japanese hot pot with beef and vegetables) served with a smoked twist, and there are two kinds of dipping sauce. One is a sauce with smoked egg, and the other is a sauce with tomato sorbet. The smoked egg has a rich taste, and you can really notice the smoky aroma. The tomato sorbet is refreshing, and if you don’t mind it, it’s recommended to wrap it in the meat before eating.

It seems that everything on the menu is smoked, so it is hard to decide what to eat. The order was smoked sashimi, jaga-bata shuto, Kara-age broccoli, and smoked cheese. This smoked cheese was unbelievably good, and the balanced smoky flavor and melty texture of the cheese made me feel so happy.

Taishu Sukiyaki Hokuto GEMS Namba Ten

Taishu Sukiyaki Hokuto GEMS Namba Ten is a sukiyaki specialty restaurant just steps from Namba Station. It is located on the 7th floor of the restaurant building GEMS Namba.

Inside, the calm Japanese style space is said to be filled with the mouthwatering aroma of sukiyaki. This is a place where you can casually enjoy high quality sukiyaki with friends.

"Taishu Sukiyaki" is seasoned at the table by the diners themselves, using the sugar and warishita (sukiyaki sauce) provided there. It’s nice that you can adjust it to your preferred taste.

They also say the process of simmering the sukiyaki yourself adds to the fun and excitement. Since they use high quality Domestic beef, the meat is also popular for being tender.

To finish, the popular choice is udon. Add it to the Hot Pot whenever you like and enjoy it.

If you simmer it with the meat, it turns rich and hearty. If you toss it with the sauce left in the pot, it tastes lighter. If you simmer it with eggs, it becomes udon with simmered eggs. It is also fun to find your own favorite way to enjoy it.

The main sukiyaki (Japanese hot pot cooked with soy-based sauce and sugar) was a spectacular sight too. They cook it on a gas stove in a ceramic pan. You finish it to your liking by adding table sugar and warishita (sukiyaki sauce), and the beautifully marbled roast with a good balance of lean meat and fat was beautiful. It had a deep, comforting flavor. The supporting players were solid too, including yaki-dofu (grilled tofu), shirataki (konjac noodles), maitake (hen-of-the-woods mushrooms), and onions.

びつお【関東グルメ/関東飯テロ日記】

The warishita (sukiyaki broth) is not too sweet and has a refined taste that really brings out the flavor of the meat. The beef they use is tender and juicy, and it almost melts in your mouth with every bite. There are plenty of fresh vegetables too, so I enjoyed it all the way to the end without getting tired of it. The udon to finish was also excellent, mixing with the broth full of umami, and it made me think, “I want to eat this again.”

Amerikamura Shain Shokudo

Amemura Shain Shokudo is a restaurant on Sanoyabashi-suji, in the heart of the Namba area, a 5-minute walk north from Namba Station.

This small spot is popular for its homey feel and friendly service. Along with the popular sukiyaki-style dish Gyutetsu, you can also enjoy drinks and snacks.

Gyutetsu features a dome-like, eye-catching presentation. This sukiyaki Hot Pot is made by piling plenty of beef, Awaji-san (Awaji-produced) onions, and bean sprouts into an iron pot, then pouring in lots of warishita sauce and simmering it.

The longer it simmers, the sweeter and tastier it gets.

The juicy Osaka Shio Tebasaki (Osaka-style salted chicken wings) is the perfect dish to go with drinks. People love the crisp skin, mild saltiness, and the accent of black pepper.

They also offer the Meibutsu Sukiyaki Gyutetsu O-tameshi Course, where you can enjoy both the popular Gyutetsu and Osaka Shio Tebasaki.

ニャンロック

We chose an All you can drink course. It came with the restaurant's specialty sukiyaki (Japanese hot pot with beef and vegetables) and maguro (tuna) sashimi. A set of chicken wing Kara-age was also included. The sukiyaki had plenty of beef and bean sprouts, making it quite filling, and it also came with udon noodles to finish.

There were three kinds of otoshi (small appetizer), and the kimchi was especially good. The chicken wings had a nice black pepper aroma, making for a great start. The sashimi was good too, especially the octopus. The gyutetsu (beef hotpot) looked very comforting and really whetted the appetite. There were plenty of bean sprouts to enjoy, and the meal ended with udon noodles to finish.

Kobe Gyu Sakura Namba Shochikuza Ten

Kobe Gyu Sakura Namba Shochikuza Ten is a specialty restaurant for Kobe beef, located on the basement level of the Osaka Shochikuza, a theater loved in Namba, about a 1-minute walk from Namba Station on the Midosuji Line.

This restaurant offers a wide range of dishes made with Kobe beef, including sukiyaki, shabu-shabu, and steak, making it a great choice for days when you want to treat yourself a little.

The "sukiyaki (Japanese hot pot with beef and vegetables)" here is served in a style that uses plenty of warishita (sweet soy-based sauce), with the meat quickly dipped in and enjoyed that way. The slightly sweet warishita and mellow egg wrap around the high quality meat.

They use rare champion Kobe beef. You can choose the grade of meat to match your budget.

For lunch, a set that comes with sukiyaki (Japanese hot pot), a special dish, dessert, and more is recommended. You can casually enjoy rare Kobe beef.

The meat is said to be tender, with rich flavor and great taste. The refined space with a sense of history and the attentive service are also well reviewed.

A.Ricky

Rather than sukiyaki, it was more like shabu-shabu, a style where you warm up the plenty of broth in the Hot Pot and then swish the meat through it, but the broth had a nice sweetness and went well with the egg(^^). The meat was excellent, no complaints at all. Since it was served shabu-shabu style, the extra fat cooked off, so I could keep eating it with no problem.

I visited for the steak lunch. This steak restaurant is in the basement, and I stopped by after seeing a performance at Shochikuza (Shochiku Theater). It is a long-standing restaurant my grandmother recommends. The service lunch was a great value, filling, and I was completely Manzoku. I would like to visit again.

This time, I ordered the Premium sukiyaki (Japanese hot pot) with All you can eat Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef). The All you can eat meat is Kuroge Wagyu Premium Loin, and the meat is amazingly pink and beautiful. As you would expect from Premium quality, it is tender and incredibly delicious. At first, the staff prepares it for you. The warishita (sukiyaki broth) is also properly tasty and goes well with the meat. With the All you can eat option, you can also enjoy unlimited à la carte dishes in addition to meat and vegetables!!

Warayaki (straw-seared cooking) to Aged meat Warakura Namba Ten

Warayaki to Jukuseiniku Waragura Namba Ten is a restaurant where you can enjoy a wide range of menu items and drinks, including meat and fish grilled over straw. It is on the 10th floor of the restaurant building GEMS Namba, a 1-minute walk from Namba Station on the Midosuji Line.

The interior has a calm Japanese-style atmosphere. All seats are in Private rooms, so you can enjoy your time with privacy.

For the “sukiyaki,” they use kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black Wagyu) loin. You can enjoy its beautiful marbling and tender texture.

You season it yourself, which is nice because you can adjust the flavor to your liking. To finish, the udon soaks up the broth and is said to be excellent.

The “Wakayama-ken-san (produced in Wakayama Prefecture) katsuo (bonito) no warayaki (straw-seared)” is said to be an irresistible dish with a wonderful smoky aroma from the straw. Because straw burns at a very high temperature, the outside turns nicely fragrant while the inside stays rare.

You can enjoy its deep flavor, where the aroma of the straw, the savory notes of grilled fish, and the texture of sashimi come together in harmony.

The sukiyaki (Japanese hot pot with beef and vegetables) was especially good, so I recommend a course that includes it. The staff also provided great service, and their care really came through. Drinks arrived quickly, and I’d like to visit again if I get the chance.
