This Yakiniku restaurant has its Honten in Kyobashi, Osaka, and operates nationwide with a focus on the Kansai and Kanto areas. It seems to be known for serving high quality, generously sized cuts of meat at reasonable prices. When I visited the Kayabacho Ten, the interior felt clean and streamlined, and all the seats were at the counter. They slice thick blocks of meat right in front of you, and just watching is enough to work up an appetite.

The house specialty "Densetsu-mori (legendary assortment)" is an impressive platter of extra-thick tongue, Outside skirt, and Tenderloin.
The staff carefully grill it right in front of you, then cut it into easy-to-eat pieces before serving. The meat is tender and well seasoned, and they say it is satisfying even on its own.

The “niku-zushi (meat sushi)” is a popular menu item, said to be delicious with rich fatty flavor spreading in your mouth in one bite.
It has a tender texture and melts nicely on the palate, so many people choose it between rounds of Yakiniku or just before finishing the meal. It is enjoyed as a dish that adds a nice change of pace to the meal.

The meat comes out in big chunks, and the staff snip it into pieces for you. It is still thick cut, and the way your teeth sink into the meat when you bite into it feels amazing. The juices slowly come out too, making this a kind of Yakiniku you do not find elsewhere. If you add the vinegar based sauce for a change of flavor, it turns nicely refreshing, and you will want to keep ordering more meat.

Beef Tongue is the top recommendation no matter what! The salted tongue and the legendary thick cut tongue are both delicious, but the God Tongue is the best!! It is limited, so if they have it, I want you to try it. The cheek sashimi was also melty and tasty. It seems All you can drink is only for people who order a course, so if you plan to drink a lot, booking a course might be a good idea...?

"Flap meat" is a rare cut with a good balance of lean meat and fat. It is known for its tender texture and juiciness, letting you fully enjoy the meat's natural flavor.
Since you can order it by the slice, this is also a good choice for anyone who wants to try different cuts little by little.

The signature "Hamideru Karubi" is a striking dish with a large cut of meat so big it hangs over the Teppan-yaki plate.
Made with a luxurious slice of Kuroge Wagyu Spencer roll, it is loved as a house specialty that offers both visual impact and Manzoku.

I got excited over the harami karubi (skirt steak short rib) hanging off the plate, then enjoyed the other Horumon and other cuts of meat too. I shared the kind of flavors I was in the mood for and asked for recommendations, and every pick was spot on, which kept both the conversation and the chopsticks moving and made it a really fun time. The staff were attentive and thoughtful, and their conversation was pleasant too, making it a memorable time with a lot to take away.

I went in at 19:00, but the place was full that day. If you plan to go, a reservation may be a must. This time, I ordered the course meal, the Manzoku course. The Horumon was delicious, and it is a place I would like to visit again. The To finish cold noodles were also very good, and I was satisfied!

The "Jo-Tan Jo-Yakiniku Course" is an All you can eat menu where you can enjoy Beef Tongue, premium lean cuts, and misuji (top blade) steak.
In addition to comparing the different cuts, they also recommend enjoying them with green onion salt sauce and Korean Perilla Leaves.

The "Special premium salted beef tongue" is a striking plate featuring thick cut pieces mainly from the tongue base.
It has a pleasant balance of fine marbling and a clean bite, and the more you chew, the more the rich flavor of the tongue spreads, making it a memorable dish.

The quality is normally quite high! The nama reba (fresh liver) and premium kalbi are the top picks! The restaurant was pretty lively. It was easy to order on the touch panel, and maybe it’s fairly new? It was a clean place. We ate a lot, drank a lot, and had a great time☺︎

This was my first time at this restaurant, but I was visiting Gyukaku for the first time in a while! I was very satisfied and got to eat plenty of beef at an easy on the wallet price. The staff service was not bad, and the menu was ordered on a tablet, so the atmosphere felt comfortable enough.
