Izu no Shun Yanmo Minami Aoyama Ten is a restaurant near an apartment building by the B3 exit of Omotesando Station. You can enjoy dishes made mainly with ingredients from the Izu Hanto (Izu Peninsula) in Shizuoka Prefecture.
It is on the semi basement level, but the interior feels bright and has spacious seating. You can enjoy good Japanese food in a casual setting, and it is also a great fit for a relaxed dinner gathering.
Photograph:yo-haq
The restaurant name Yanmo refers to the yamamomo (wax myrtle) trees found throughout Izu. They serve dishes made with fresh fish from Izu and seasonal vegetables.
There are also courses available to order On-the-Day, and you can also order a la carte. The seafood from Izu is said to be great whether you enjoy it as sashimi or grilled.
Photograph:はま612608
The course begins with a plate like Appetizers, featuring a small assortment of three dishes that pair well with alcohol. Even this one plate seems to let you enjoy a range of flavors.
The drink menu is also extensive, centering on Japanese sake, with wine and fruit liqueurs as well.
T.K.hiro
With its location near Omotesando Station, it has the feel of a stylish, clean, slightly upscale washoku (Japanese cuisine) restaurant or washoku izakaya (Japanese-style pub). The food menu was the same as at the Marunouchi location. Even so, as always, while eating I was struck again by how Yanmo puts real care into its work and keeps the quality of each dish so high.

yume!
There are many creative menu items, so it is hard to choose. Octopus salad, grilled squid with Saikyo miso, unagimaki (rolled omelet with eel), roasted ginkgo nuts… The first drink was a glass of rosé, and from the second drink on, I went with Japanese sake. Hiroki, Kudokijozu, Shichida… I stayed with the classics here. I had one go at a time. You can enjoy your meal at a relaxed pace without feeling rushed by time limits on your table.

Hakko Izakaya 5 is an izakaya about a 1-minute walk from the Omotesando intersection. It is a place where you can enjoy a variety of fermented foods.
Inside, the stylish space combines concrete with wooden tables, and they also have a Private room with a view of the courtyard through the windows.
Photograph:ぴぃ38881
Fermented foods are made when microorganisms such as yeast and koji mold change ingredients, increasing their nutritional value and umami. Miso, natto, and Japanese sake, all unique to Japanese cuisine, are also fermented foods.
The specialty "fermented Kara-age" features chicken marinated in shio-koji (salted rice malt), a traditional all purpose fermented seasoning, to make it tender, then fried until crisp.
Photograph:Rio77
There is a wide range of body friendly food options, including natto (fermented soybeans) made from soybeans grown without pesticides and yakuzen soup (herbal medicinal soup).
Japanese sake from a brewery in Chiba Prefecture with more than 350 years of history and alcoholic drinks made with enzyme syrup from naturally fermented lemon and sugar are also popular.
ぴぃ38881
Above all, the fermented lemon sour was surprisingly good. Hearing "fermented" might make some people unsure, but both the drinks and food had no off notes, and everything was delicious. It was a mobile ordering system, and the food came out quickly, which was great! Kara-age seems to be their specialty, and it was thick, juicy, and hard to fault.

にゃぁぷ
This is a restaurant that's easy to stop by for a quick dinner. They serve lots of fermented foods, so it feels like a treat for your body! The natto tasting comparison was a surprise, especially how well it went with pakuchi (coriander). The Kara-age is bigger than expected, so be careful not to order too much! It’s pretty filling.

Sushi to Wine Omotesandoria is an izakaya near the Minami-Aoyama 5-chome intersection, on the north side of United Nations University. It is a place where you can enjoy pairings of sushi and wine.
The stylish space is built around a white color scheme. It also has sleek counter seating, giving it the feel of a sushi restaurant where you sit face to face with the chefs.
Photograph:ササグルメ
The concept is to enjoy sushi in a casual setting. They also offer a wide variety of à la carte dishes made with seasonal seafood like you would find at a sushi restaurant.
The wine selection focuses on bottles that pair well with sushi, including light reds and full-flavored whites that also go well with soy sauce.
Photograph:tea*rose
A course where you can enjoy about 17 dishes is popular. One nice point is that the list describing the course meal also notes recommended wines.
You can enjoy a wide variety of wines by the glass or share a bottle with your group. Many of the sushi dishes are also said to be arranged to pair well with wine.
おしもちまる
This stylish izakaya (Japanese pub) focuses mainly on sushi! It was my first time visiting, and I went with the course the staff recommended! With 7 dishes, there was a wide variety beyond just sushi, and I was fully satisfied. They also have great wine, so it’s a fantastic place where you can really enjoy sushi and wine!

ササグルメ
Everything was delicious, and the pairing of sushi and wine was the best. It was such a happy time, with each piece bringing a new marriage of flavors to enjoy. The staff’s careful explanations and warm service full of smiles were also very good. Even though it is in the basement of a commercial building, going down the stairs next to Pierre Hermé opens up a hideaway-like space.

Omotesando Wine Shokudo Den is a restaurant near Omotesando Station Exit A3. It is a bistro-style spot where you can casually enjoy meat dishes and wine.
The interior is a casual woody space, and it is easy to visit whether you are on your own or with a group. They can also rearrange the tables to match the size of your party.

You can order either a course or à la carte, and the popular prix fixe course lets you choose 5 dishes from Cold Appetizers, Hot Appetizers, and desserts.
The signature dish is the "Foie Gras Omelet." Guests say the omelet made by a chef who honed his skills at hotel restaurants, along with its rich sauce, tastes excellent.
Photograph:9a4bfb26798
The signature drink here is wine poured right up to the brim of the glass. They offer about five kinds each of red and white, and each glass is filled generously, making it a great value.
With courses that include All you can drink, you can enjoy a range of options including sparkling wine, highballs, and non-alcoholic drinks.
たあぼう1164
You order in a prix fixe style, sharing 4 side dishes and 2 main dishes, and the number of dishes is quite satisfying. There is also All you can drink wine with about 10 kinds, and at JPY6000, it is very reasonable. That said, the atmosphere is more like an izakaya (Japanese pub), so depending on the other customers there, it can get lively at times, but that cannot be helped. The food is generous in portion, and everything is delicious. It is a good restaurant.

Denno Shiori Omotesando is a Japanese restaurant about a 1-minute walk from Exit B3 of Omotesando Station. It is also open during the day, but at night you can use it as a stylish izakaya (Japanese pub).
The space has a calm feel with traditional Japanese decor. The counter seats offer a casual setting, while the Semi-private room lets you relax and enjoy your time.

The signature udon stands out for its excellent dashi broth. The soup is made by combining a carefully prepared broth from kombu kelp and bonito flakes with kaeshi, a soy sauce based seasoning that is rested slowly over time.
The popular dashimaki tamago (rolled omelet with dashi) uses the same broth that forms the base of many dishes. The savory umami of the dashi is said to spread through your mouth.

They also offer a wide selection of Japanese sake that pairs well with the food. They have Special fine labels carefully selected from breweries across Japan, including some available only for the season.
With the course menu, you can enjoy dishes made with luxurious ingredients unique to that time of year, and you can also add All you can drink beverages including Japanese sake.
Kumaya
The JPY7500 course with all you can drink was delicious, and the amount of food was just right. I could enjoy both meat and fish, and the small Appetizers dishes were Japanese and very tasty. There were a few counter and table seats, and the inside had a calm atmosphere.

O'denbar Umami Omotesando is an izakaya located near Exit B2 of Omotesando Station. The lantern hanging at the entrance along the side street is the landmark.
Because the restaurant is in the basement, it has a hideaway feel. The interior is like a Japanese style bar with high chairs lined up, making it perfect when you want to enjoy a quiet drink alone or in a small group.
Photograph:Rio77
The specialty is oden (Japanese simmered dish). It is made by carefully drawing out broth from kombu kelp and bonito flakes, then slowly simmering ingredients like daikon radish, boiled eggs, and processed fish cakes.
The ingredients inside change depending on the day, and it is said that the rich umami broth soaks well into seasonal vegetables and even roll cabbage.
Photograph:moootarooo
They also offer a wide variety of fresh sashimi sourced from Toyosu Shijo (Toyosu Market) in Tokyo, along with many side dishes that pair well with alcohol.
The selection of Japanese sake brands changes depending on the season, but they always stock more than 10 labels, so you can enjoy all kinds of flavors, from fruity and dry to light and refreshing.
みずはら(miz14)
The oden (Japanese stew) is all about the broth, and it tastes incredibly good. From the first bite, you can tell the broth is carefully made, and every ingredient goes great with drinks. It feels comfortable even if you are drinking alone, and it is also perfect for people who want to enjoy a quiet drink. In Omotesando, this is a place I would definitely like to visit again when I want to enjoy calm surroundings and good oden.

The egg is cut in half, making it easy to eat. The kombu kelp is a large tied knot of kombu kelp, not the easiest to eat, but it is also excellent. The daikon radish is not overly soft, but it is tasty. Best of all, the karashi mustard made by mixing powdered mustard has an irresistible aroma and heat. The lineup of Japanese sake is also quite interesting.

Omotenashi Toriyoshi Aoyama Ten is a chicken specialty izakaya located right by Omotesando Station Exit A4. You can also enjoy signature dishes with the same flavor they have kept since the restaurant first opened in 1984.
The space has a calm Japanese modern feel with a touch of luxury. There are table seats with comfortable roomy chairs, as well as Private room options that offer a sense of privacy.

One of the signature dishes is "tebasaki Kara-age (chicken wing Kara-age)," and people also like that you can choose the flavor from mild, medium hot, or extra hot.
They use a sauce based on a recipe passed down since the restaurant first opened, along with an original blend of spices. Reviews also say they are so good you will want to keep eating them.

In addition to Hot Pot dishes made with chicken broth and yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), you can also enjoy Japanese menu items such as sashimi and tofu.
Even the Banquet courses include many dishes that are neatly plated in individual portions, so there is less hassle in sharing and it is easy for conversation to flow.

There are also Private rooms, which is a nice plus since you can talk without worrying about the people around you. This restaurant takes pride in its tebasaki (chicken wings) and yuba (tofu skin). They also have a wide selection of drinks, so we kept comparing different ones. The dim atmosphere inside was nice too. The tebasaki came in three flavors: sweet, medium spicy, and hot. The yuba was delicious, and the dipping sauce paired well with it. I’d like to visit again if I have the chance to be in the area.

"Hachibei Aoyama Honten" is a sushi izakaya located about a 2-minute walk from Omotesando Station Exit A4. It has the feel of a specialty sushi restaurant, but you can enjoy it in a casual way.

In front of the counter seats, there is a display case lined with sushi toppings, and you can also order whatever you want to eat from there.
The rice portion of the nigiri sushi, the shari (vinegared rice), is slightly small. It is easy to eat in one bite, which makes it easy to enjoy a variety of sushi.

The restaurant also has an attached wine bar with as many as 4000 kinds of wine. You can pay a corkage fee and bring in a wine you choose there to enjoy with your meal.
It stays open until late at night, so it also comes recommended as a second stop when you want to have a light bite and a drink after dinner.

In this style, the chef carefully shapes each piece by hand, and on this day one chef attended just to us, making it a luxurious time as the sushi was finished right in front of us. You can enjoy the whole meal without getting tired of it until the very end.

Minami Aoyama Toriya Kou is located inside a building along Kotto-dori, which connects Aoyama-dori and Roppongi-dori. It is the Minami Aoyama restaurant of a yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) restaurant founded in 1955, with multiple restaurants in Tokyo.

Yakitori made with Hinai Jidori (premium native chicken), often called the king of jidori chicken, and Tottori-produced Daisendori is the main draw. Every morning, they break down the jidori chicken and change how they skewer each part.
They grill it over binchotan (high-grade charcoal) so the surface turns crisp while the inside stays juicy.
Photograph:とみとみとccc
There are several courses, including a recommended course with only yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) and courses that also come with a few dishes and dessert. It seems many people also add their favorite yakitori to the course.
They also have a good selection of wines that pair well with chicken, including sparkling and rosé. The selection of Japanese sake is also extensive, it seems.
おとみるこ
Every skewer I tried was delicious! Since they only offer courses, I ordered the cheapest course with just skewers and then added my favorite skewers afterward, which was the right call. Bonjiri (chicken tail) and kawa (chicken skin) were not included in the course, but they were very tasty.

They have chicken raised in Iwate Prefecture delivered directly without freezing it. It is known for a light, easy-to-eat flavor.
For more than 50 years since the restaurant first opened, they have been adding to their homemade sauce, and you can enjoy yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) seasoned with that sauce or their original salt, cooked with excellent control over the heat.

The yakitori comes with “negi-dare (finely chopped green onion sauce),” and people say that adding this sauce to yakitori, grilled vegetable skewers, and more brings out even more umami.
They also offer shochu mixed with tea as a sour, so the alcohol menu is extensive. There is also a good value All you can drink plan.

Izakaya Genki Wa Dining is an izakaya located in the basement of a building down a side street, about a 2-minute walk from Omotesando Station Exit A3 toward Gaien, and it is known for its wide selection of Japanese sake.
The interior is said to be a small and homey space with a comfortable feel. It is a good choice when you want to relax and enjoy drinks with someone close.
On the counter inside, Japanese sake and shochu line up neatly. It also looks fun to choose one based on the impression of the bottle.
If you are not sure which one to try, ask the staff and they will recommend one or introduce rare Japanese sake that you can only come across at that moment.

They also serve dishes made with strongly savory dashi that pair well with Japanese sake. Their oden (Japanese stew) is also popular, with ingredients like daikon radish and eggs simmered in dashi.
The signature dish is "Tori Leggu Nikomi Aburi." This creative dish is made by soaking chicken in dashi, then simmering it and finishing it on the grill.

They have a wide selection of Japanese sake(^^)I was happy that they recommended some based on my preferences. And it was really delicious! The oden (Japanese stew) was great too! This is a place I’d like to bring people who love Japanese sake to.

The truffle scented French fries are recommended! I always order them. The spicy aigamo (crossbred duck) is thick and juicy! The oden (Japanese stew) is very filling too. The hanpen (soft fish cake) was light and great. I drank and ate a lot with my hard drinking coworkers, and left totally Manzoku〜.

Pronto Aoyama Ten is located near Exit B2 of Omotesando Station. It operates as a cafe from morning to evening, and as an izakaya (Japanese pub) at night.
During izakaya hours, a large noren (traditional split curtain) hangs at the entrance. It is easy to stop by casually, and it also has bar-style counter seating.

During izakaya (Japanese pub) hours, the space also gets good reviews for its retro feel, with dim lighting and neon glow.
They also have menu items like the kind once served at old school kissaten (Japanese coffee shops). One popular item is the “Tako-san Wiener,” sausages scored and grilled to look like little octopuses.

The drink menu also includes sours made with shochu (Japanese distilled spirit) mixed with soda, as well as frozen sours made with frozen fruit.
The "Cream Soda," a colored cider topped with ice cream, is a popular non-alcoholic drink known for its bright colors.

My friend had a cream soda, and I had alcohol. We also ordered 10 little red octopus sausages, and the octopus sausages with firm legs and bodies (with crispy legs) were really good. The red sausages felt nostalgic.

The classic melon soda float and ichigo soda float (strawberry soda float) were both really good! We were just using it as a second stop because we still had more to talk about, so we didn’t order any food, but the menu had lots of options too! I think it’s more than enough for a quick drink✨

Chai Kuro Omotesando Minami Aoyama Sanchome Ten is an izakaya (Japanese pub) on Chojamaru-dori, a small street between Omotesando Station and Gaienmae Station. They also offer a plan where you can cook takoyaki (octopus balls) yourself and enjoy the experience.
The space is full of playful touches, including toys that many people in Japan played with as children. It is perfect when you want to have a fun time with friends.

Takoyaki is a dish made by pouring a batter of flour, eggs, and other ingredients into a special Teppan-yaki plate, adding tako (octopus), and cooking it into round balls.
If you want to have a "takopa (takoyaki party) at a restaurant," one of the best parts is gathering around a hot plate, turning them into round balls yourselves with bamboo skewers, and eating them piping hot.

They also get high marks for their wide variety of food items that go well with alcohol, all at reasonable prices that make them easy to order on a whim.
Their kushikatsu (deep-fried skewers) is also popular, with meat, vegetables, and other ingredients skewered, coated in a light batter, and fried. Since you can hold the skewer and eat it one-handed, it is perfect for dining while chatting.

The food is incredibly cheap. They also had unusual takoyaki (octopus balls), so I ordered it right away lol. It wasn’t a home takopa (takoyaki party), but it was fun making takoyaki together. It tasted great, and the value for money was good too. The place was really busy, and I’d like to visit again if I have the chance!

A takopa (takoyaki party) with coworkers after work! The gas-grilled takoyaki really had that restaurant taste, so the satisfaction level was high! It’s an izakaya with a new twist! Even on a weekday, the place was full and very lively! The menu had plenty to offer beyond takoyaki, and it was way too good value for money! I’d love to come back again!
