Tanpopo Kitashinchi Honten

Tanpopo Kitashinchi Honten is a Teppan-yaki restaurant on the 6th floor of a building just steps from Exit 11-23 of Kitashinchi Station on the JR Tozai Line.

The chic, polished, and stylish interior has counter seats, table seats, and fully private rooms, and the most popular are the counter seats, where you can enjoy the lively action right in front of you.

You can enjoy okonomiyaki (Japanese savory pancake) and seasonal ingredients cooked Teppan-yaki.

The okonomiyaki has a light, airy batter with the aroma of dashi broth, and you can choose one or two ingredients from pork, squid, octopus, and shrimp. They also offer a rich version made with caciocavallo cheese.

They have a wide selection of Special wines, and it is also recommended to use it like a wine bar.

Among them, the lineup of Italian wines is especially extensive, and it is also appealing that you can choose based on your taste and the food.

I visited on a Saturday night with a reservation. The restaurant was full. It may be better to make a reservation about a month before your planned visit. Every dish was unique, carefully prepared, and excellent. They had two types of grills, and it was clear how much care they put into them. Best of all, I was happy they prepared everything right in front of me. It became a very good memory.

boku-torutan

Every dish was really delicious, and best of all, it was wonderful to see the staff enjoying themselves as they cooked. Okonomiyaki (Japanese savory pancake) and wine? You might think so, but they pair very well. Okonomiyaki goes with sauce, which pairs well with red wine. Cabbage pairs well with white wine. I thought it would probably work well either way. It was a new discovery in Osaka. It was a very lovely restaurant.

Takonotetsu Kakuta Ten

Takonotetsu Kakuta Ten is a takoyaki (octopus balls) and okonomiyaki (savory pancake) restaurant about a 3-minute walk from Hankyu Line Umeda Station.

Founded in 1979, it is marked by a taco character wearing a hachimaki (headband). Its friendly atmosphere has made it a longtime favorite with families as well.

Each seat comes with a smokeless tabletop Teppan-yaki grill, and the real fun is cooking it yourself.

All the pork used for the okonomiyaki is Domestic. Popular choices include the “Special pork tama” and the “yakumi-yaki” made with six kinds of yakumi (condiments) such as garlic chives and seri (Japanese parsley).

The standard takoyaki (octopus balls), loved ever since the shop first opened, comes in 13 different varieties.

They also show real care in their choice of ingredients, using things like Kujo negi (Kyoto scallions) shipped directly from Kyoto and fragrant hana-katsuo (bonito flakes). Distinctive menu items like “Curry” and “Tropical” are also popular.

Toob

Once I went inside, I could tell from the many autograph boards displayed around the restaurant that it had been featured on TV many times. I got to eat all kinds of dishes, including regular takoyaki (octopus balls), mentaiko takoyaki, okonomiyaki (savory pancake), and tonpeiyaki (pork omelet), and because I made them myself, I was able to enjoy the experience and the food was great.

Okonomiyaki (savory Japanese pancake) has a light and fluffy batter where the sweetness of the cabbage mixes with the rich taste of the ingredients, while the bold sauce and mellow mayonnaise create the perfect balance, making it hearty and very satisfying.

Miyou

Miyau is an okonomiyaki (Japanese savory pancake) restaurant in a great location, about a 1-minute walk from Kitashinchi Station on the JR Tozai Line.

The interior has a nostalgic old-school feel, with a compact space of just 16 U-shaped counter seats. Hangers with garment covers are also provided, so even guests concerned about odors can dine with peace of mind.

The popular menu item "Buta-dama (pork okonomiyaki)" is a striking pancake topped with pork slices so large they immediately catch your eye.

The batter, made with Kyushu pork and dashi (Japanese soup stock), is said to be moist and satisfying. The sweet and savory taste of Ojika Sauce from Yamashina, Kyoto, is said to bring out the overall flavor.

The Most Popular à la carte item, the "Hamburger Steak," is carefully grilled on a Teppan-yaki plate using hand-kneaded meat with no binder.

It has a nice kick of spice, enough rich flavor even without sauce, and a tenderness that falls apart when you touch it with chopsticks. It often sells out, so ordering early is recommended.

At this price in Kitashinchi, it feels like a great deal. The okonomiyaki (savory Japanese pancake) was light and fluffy, with plenty of fillings. I especially got hooked on the one with cheese because it was so rich. The All you can drink options also had a wide selection, and since the place stays open late into the night, it seems good for a second stop or To finish. It had a casual atmosphere that made it easy to drop by with friends.

The Hamburger Steak is so soft and fluffy, and very delicious. But the shrimp with mayo, the grilled tomato, and the suji-omelet (omelet with stewed beef tendon) are all great too! Nothing we tried missed the mark. The restaurant is tucked a little way back inside the building, so it may be hard to find, but it is worth visiting.

Hanatare

Hanatare is a Teppan-yaki diner located about a 6-minute walk from Higashi-Umeda Station on the Osaka Metro Tanimachi Line.

The restaurant has lively counter seats and calm table seating. (Each) seat is equipped with a tabletop stove, so you can enjoy the dishes piping hot.

They never compromise on ingredients, using flour from Muroran, Hokkaido, Kujo-negi (Kyoto green onions) delivered directly from farmers, and kurobuta (Berkshire pork) belly fat.

The "Hanatare Gorgeous Yaki" has a large batter base without feeling heavy, finished in a way that really brings out the sweetness of the cabbage.

The menu also has a wide range of creative dishes that make the most of the ingredients' natural flavors, such as "Kyoto Kujo Negi-yaki (griddled Kyoto green onions)" and "Sauteed Avocado and Yam (Japanese mountain yam)".

The photo shows the "Awaji-san (Awaji-produced) Whole Roasted Onion." This popular dish slowly grills one whole onion in Kurobuta (Berkshire pork) belly fat.

This restaurant has wide spacing between the seats, so you can enjoy your meal in comfort. The okonomiyaki (savory pancake) and yakisoba (fried noodles) were all delicious. The location is a little hard to find, but it was not crowded and felt like a hidden gem. The service from the staff was also good, so I will visit again if I have the chance. It was a great meal.

I stopped by this place alone for a drink. There are counter and table seats. (Each) seat has a gas Teppan-yaki griddle so the food stays hot. I ordered the octopus with salty ponzu sauce and the Kobe Nagata-yaki (Kobe Nagata-style savory pancake) Gorgeous. The octopus was from Akashi and was large and delicious, and the Gorgeous-yaki was also very good, with both the shrimp and octopus being nice and large.

Okonomiyaki (Japanese savory pancake) Yakisoba (stir-fried noodles) Konamon Taro

Okonomiyaki Yakisoba Konomon Taro is a Teppan-yaki izakaya about a 5-minute walk from Higashi-Umeda Station on the Osaka Metro Tanimachi Line.

The stylish interior has spacious table seating. Each table comes with a large teppan grill, so you can take your time and enjoy Teppan-yaki.

The popular okonomiyaki (Japanese savory pancake) is known for being piping hot and fluffy.

The top recommendation is the “Konamon Taro-yaki.” This striking dish is made with a thin batter, loaded with cabbage and bean sprouts, and finished with a rich soft-cooked egg on top. Reviews also say that even though it is packed with cabbage, it is so light that they finished it in no time.

In Kansai (the Kansai region), the classic combo is yakisoba (fried noodles) with white rice.

The "Suji Kon Yakisoba" uses flat noodles and is topped with sweet simmered tendon and konnyaku (firm yam cake). It comes with plenty of green onions too, and its sweet and savory flavor is said to go very well with rice.

ちぇりーちゃん❀

Speaking of Osaka, it’s all about konamon (flour based dishes)! They had a really wide selection of okonomiyaki (savory pancake) and yakisoba (fried noodles) on the menu! Personally, the restaurant’s signature dish, “Konamon Taro-yaki,” was incredibly good! The egg was nice and runny, and it went perfectly with the yakisoba. The okonomiyaki was light and fluffy too, and absolutely great!

This was my first okonomiyaki (Japanese savory pancake) restaurant in Osaka. I was worried that one would not be enough, but once I tried it, one was plenty for one adult. They cook it in the kitchen and bring it to the Teppan-yaki grill at your table, so you do not have to cook it yourself, but it takes a little time before it is served. The taste is reliably good. I think one of the main features is the wide variety of toppings.

Osaka no Aji Okonomiyaki Tsuruya

Osaka no Aji Okonomiyaki Tsuruya is an okonomiyaki restaurant located in the Umeda Hankyu Higashi-dori Shopping Street, a 5-minute walk from Umeda Station on the Hankyu Main Line.

Founded in 1951, it has a charming retro atmosphere. Many local customers also stop by casually on their way home from work. They also provide paper aprons, which makes it easy and convenient to visit.

The okonomiyaki (Japanese savory pancake) here comes with plenty of cabbage, a hearty batter, and a secret sweet and savory sauce, with everything from the classics to more unusual variations all lined up.

The popular “Yamakake Mix” is a dish topped with grated yam over mixed okonomiyaki. The light soy sauce seasoning gets an added toasty note, making for a mild and well rounded taste.

With about 70 items on the menu, there is plenty to choose from, and you can enjoy a wide range of dishes including okonomiyaki (savory Japanese pancake), modan-yaki (okonomiyaki layered with noodles), negi-yaki (green onion pancake), and Sobameshi (fried rice with noodles).

The photo shows “tonpei-yaki (griddled pork and egg)” and yakisoba (fried noodles), both popular Teppan-yaki staples. There are also plenty of courses that include All you can drink, making it a great choice for Banquets as well.

We ordered the standard mixed yaki and geso mayonnaise (squid legs with mayonnaise)♪The okonomiyaki is quite large, so one is just the right size for two people to share◎The batter is light and fluffy, and it goes really well with the sweet and savory sauce. It has all kinds of ingredients like seafood and meat, so you can enjoy it without getting tired of it at all! The geso mayo also has a nice rich mayonnaise flavor, and it pairs really well with beer!

I visited this place for a meal with an acquaintance who was in town on a business trip from Tokyo. Everything was really delicious! What stood out most were the shio yakisoba (salt-flavored fried noodles) and yamaimo-yaki (grilled Japanese yam). The shio yakisoba was topped with shin shoga (young ginger), which added a really nice flavor! The yamaimo-yaki had a taste you do not find elsewhere! I would love to come back again.

Teppan-yaro Urasando Ten

Teppan Yarou Urasando Ten is a Teppan-yaki restaurant about a 4-minute walk from Exit 4 of Higashi-Umeda Station on the Osaka Metro Tanimachi Line.

This popular local spot has been loved in the area for years, and its homey atmosphere is part of the appeal. The counter seats are easy to use even when dining alone, and it also has table seating.

The okonomiyaki (savory Japanese pancake) is cooked up light and fluffy, with just the right amount of sauce clinging to it, and the best part is taking a big bite while it is piping hot.

A popular menu item is the original “Paine,” which wraps potato salad and cheese inside. It is known for being packed with plenty of cheese and nicely browned, making it very tasty.

Reviews also praise the tonpei with buta kakuni (braised pork belly) that takes 3 days of prep.

This hearty dish wraps melty Kaku-ni in soft fluffy egg, with sauce and mayonnaise bringing it all together. It pairs well with drinks, of course, and they say it is also rich enough to make you want a bowl of plain white rice.

hAya

The staff were very kind and polite. The cucumber, eihire (grilled stingray fin), and octopus skewer were all delicious✨We also ordered okonomiyaki (savory Japanese pancake) (butatama) and yakisoba (fried noodles) (squid with salt and lemon)! The butatama had tomato and green pepper in it, so the pork flavor was not too strong, and it tasted light, healthy, and very good. The yakisoba also went really well with lemon and was super tasty! Highly recommended!

We ordered a variety of dishes, and my honest impression was that every single one was delicious. The live feel that is unique to Teppan-yaki, with the food cooked right in front of you and the savory aroma of the sauce, really whets your appetite, and every dish came out piping hot and tasted great. The cooking was spot on, bringing out the quality of the ingredients. When the food is this good, the drinks naturally keep flowing too.

Teppan-yaki Taishu Sakaba Yoshikawa

Teppan-yaki Taishu Sakaba Yoshikawa is a Teppan-yaki casual izakaya located about a 3-minute walk from Exit 7 of Higashi-Umeda Station on the Tanimachi subway line.

The interior has a calm feel and is full of downtown charm. The seating layout is flexible, so it works well for many different occasions.

The okonomiyaki (Japanese savory pancake) is made with a house-made batter generously blended with katsuobushi dashi (bonito stock) and plenty of Domestic yamaimo (Japanese mountain yam), using sticky yamatoimo (Japanese yam), and it is said to have a fluffy, rich, yet light texture.

Along with the classic "Butatama (pork okonomiyaki)," they also serve both meat and seafood okonomiyaki such as "Suji Kon (beef tendon and konjac)," and "Ebi Toro Tama (shrimp and soft egg okonomiyaki)." If you want a really filling meal, adding a fried egg as an extra topping is also recommended.

"Dote Tako" is takoyaki made with the flavor of three kinds of dashi: chicken paitan broth, bonito, and kombu kelp.

The beef tendon topping is prepared with a smooth texture, and is said to offer fall-apart tenderness along with a rich, full taste.

imat

Even though it’s an izakaya, I think the takoyaki (octopus balls) is definitely better than at famous specialty shops. Whether topped with doteyaki (beef tendon stew) or green onions, the takoyaki itself is melty and delicious. The okonomiyaki (savory pancake) is also light and fluffy, packed with flavor, and outstanding. I was too full to make it to the yakisoba. Since they use fresh noodles, I’m sure it’s good too. I’d like to try it next time.

A restaurant on the 1st floor of the Ohatsu Tenjin Building. I ordered takoyaki (octopus balls) (yuzu salt, sauce), dote-tako, and okonomiyaki (savory pancake). The batter had plenty of yam in it and was nice and fluffy! The dote-tako, a combo of takoyaki and dote-ni (stewed beef tendon in miso), was really good. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere, and it was easy to stop by even alone, so I visited twice during my stay in Osaka. I’d like to go again the next time I’m in Osaka.

It wraps tender simmered pork kakuni (braised pork belly) in fluffy egg and finishes it with an original sauce brightened by the acidity of tomato. People say the Japanese ingredients with a Western accent work really well.

まさごんべい

We had the specialty Ikoku Ichijo-yaki, salt yakisoba (salt-seasoned fried noodles), hotate butter-yaki (butter-grilled scallops), and basil risotto! Everything was very delicious! The hotate butter-yaki was especially good—the staff were also very cheerful, and it’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back again and again. It’s not that large, so it’s probably safer to make a reservation before you go.

・Mixed Yakisoba
I missed the cooking process, but it seemed the noodles were cooked by steaming, which gave them a nice chewy texture. This level of moisture is just right. At the same time, the cabbage stayed crisp. Served in an iron pan, it stayed piping hot until the last bite, and it was very tasty.

ニクキュウスキー

The okonomiyaki (Japanese savory pancake) has plenty of cabbage, so it does not feel too heavy and goes well as a snack with drinks. The soy sauce yakisoba (fried noodles) is also lightly seasoned. It pairs nicely with the medium-thick noodles. There may be okonomiyaki in Osaka that suits my taste even more, but with this view, the pleasant staff, the relaxed atmosphere where I could chat leisurely with friends, and the reasonable prices, I thought this was a restaurant with a very high level of overall Manzoku.

This time, we shared a few dishes, with Kyochabana’s specialty tomato-based okonomiyaki (savory Japanese pancake) as the main focus. The batter was cooked crisp and fragrant on the outside and light on the inside, layered with the tang of tomato and a rich sauce for a taste that sets it apart from typical okonomiyaki. The soft noodles and creamy soft-cooked egg come together for a taste that keeps you coming back for more. It is said to be the top recommended dish you can only enjoy here.

The salt flavored okonomiyaki (savory Japanese pancake) called Kyoten-yaki, which does not need any sauce, is also well liked.
