CHIKICHIKI Tenma Ten

At CHIKICHIKI Tenma Ten, you can casually enjoy authentic yakitori made with Tajima-dori (Tajima chicken) from Hyogo Prefecture. It is located inside the Tenjinbashisuji Shopping Street, a 3-minute walk from JR Tenma Station.

The interior is said to be a warm and homey space. The two-story restaurant is fully equipped with counter seats, table seats, and Private room.

The yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), finished by skilled chefs with just the right heat for each cut, are said to be juicy and full of rich chicken flavor. They use a secret tare (sweet soy-based sauce) that has been carefully added to over time.

The counter seats on the first floor are appealing because they offer a live view of the grill, letting you enjoy the yakitori with all five senses.

Only courses are offered, and the content differs between the 1st and 2nd floors. Especially popular is the good value “1st Floor Limited Yakitori Course,” where even if you add extra food or drinks after the course, the maximum total is capped.

On the 2nd floor, you can fully enjoy yakitori with the “<2nd Floor Seating Only> [Includes self-serve All you can drink] Yakitori Course”.

I visited with high expectations, knowing it is affiliated with Meiten・Goichi. Every yakitori course item was carefully grilled, bringing out the chicken’s natural flavor. The specialty momo-niku (chicken thigh) tataki was fragrant and nicely seared, and the moment it hit the mouth, rich flavor spread out in a burst. The interior felt refined without being stiff, and that easy comfort is part of its appeal.

Each item was carefully prepared, and the grilling was just how I like it. What I especially enjoyed were the kamo minced meat and the cabbage tsukune (chicken meatball). You could really taste the cabbage, and it was my favorite tsukune I’ve ever had. For the final course, I could choose what I liked, so I had the hearty Rice bowl. The soup had a comforting taste too, and I was very Manzoku. This is a yakitori restaurant where you can also enjoy wine.

Yakitori Shokudo

Yakitori Shokudo is on Kitadohimmachi-suji, a 5-minute walk from JR Temma Station. They serve charcoal-grilled yakitori (Japanese grilled chicken skewers) made with Special Domestic branded chicken.

The antique and stylish interior is a small space with only 12 U-shaped counter seats. There is also a terrace area where you can stand and drink.

They serve yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) made only with fresh Domestic chicken, without skewering the meat. You can enjoy watching it grilled boldly over charcoal right in front of you, and eat it fresh off the grill.

The yakitori is cooked to bring out the most umami and keep it juicy, and every item is said to be very good and pair well with drinks.

Among the wide selection of menu items, the house specialty "Tanba jidori (Tanba free-range chicken) char-grilled thigh" is said to be outstanding. It is juicy with a nice bite, and lets you fully enjoy its rich flavor.

After trying the specialty, they recommend ordering the "To finish fried rice, kuro keiyu meshi (black chicken oil rice)." It is a black fried rice cooked with the charcoal and chicken oil left on the Teppan-yaki plate.

スルメマン

This time, the main recommended dish is momo-niku aburiyaki (seared chicken thigh)! It’s delicious! The best! The chicken is grilled all at once over intense heat, picking up a charcoal flavor, and every part of it is great, from the rich umami and juicy meat to the satisfying bite! It’s even better with the yuzu kosho (yuzu pepper paste) served on the side!

学ちゃん

The meat here is really good no matter what you order! They serve chicken in many different styles, and every single one is delicious. They also have a wide variety of drinks. You can enjoy the meal at the counter. They grill it right in front of you, so watching that is part of the fun too. They also have cup ramen. It comes with their original yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), and it's great!!

Kashiwaya Shogun

Kashiwaya Shogun is a place where you can enjoy yakitori made with fresh shamo (game fowl) and asabiki jidori (freshly slaughtered local chicken) sourced direct. It is located along Hokushinbashi-suji, a 2-minute walk from JR Temma Station.

The interior has a calm feel and is said to be very comfortable. The restaurant has counter and table seating on the first floor, with zashiki (tatami seating) on the second floor.

Shamo (gamefowl) is a breed developed for cockfighting, known for its firm texture. With each bite, more of its rich flavor comes through.

The yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) is cooked by diners themselves over a shichirin (small charcoal grill) set on the table. The infrared heat locks in the flavor, keeping it juicy while giving it a crisp finish.

They offer courses with All you can drink and an à la carte menu. The popular choice seems to be the “Kashiwaya Shogun Shamo Jidori Tanno Course,” where you can casually enjoy a full 10 dishes. If you are not sure what to order from the à la carte menu, the “shamo (gamefowl) jidori (free-range chicken) seven-kind assortment” in the photo is recommended.

They also have a wide range of dishes beyond yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), and each one is said to be high quality.

とら5

The yakitori was great too, with shamo (gamefowl) that had a nice bite and tasted really good, and the shamo skin was wonderfully crunchy. Adding a little of the slightly spicy salt next to the tare sauce made the beer go down fast. Then, because what the person next to me was eating looked so good, I finished with a jidori (local chicken) Rice bowl. Ordering it was the right call. It was delicious to the very end.

Shamo (gamefowl) has a nice bite and is packed with rich flavor, and I’d love to eat this again. I was also happy that they offer not just yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) but a wide range of à la carte dishes, all at a high level. The staff were all cheerful and energetic too, and the atmosphere of the whole place was really great.

Yaktorishifuku is on the second floor of a building in Tenjinbashisuji Shopping Street, about a 3-minute walk from JR Tenma Station. It serves authentic yakitori, grilling high quality branded jidori (local chicken) of the day over binchotan (white charcoal).

The interior has an elegant and relaxing feel. It has counter seats, table seats, zashiki (tatami seating), and Private room.

Each yakitori (grilled chicken skewer) is carefully skewered by hand one by one. They grill each one over binchotan (high-grade charcoal), adjusting the heat perfectly to match the type of chicken and the cut. Every skewer is fragrant on the outside, juicy on the inside, and said to taste great.

You can order either a course with All you can drink or from the à la carte menu. The course also includes individual dishes other than yakitori.

The "Kushiyaki Omakase" set, which comes with that day’s recommended yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), an a la carte dish, and chicken soup, is perfect when you are not sure what to order. You can choose from 3, 5, or 8 skewers.

A nice feature is that if you order 5 or 8 skewers, you can add All you can drink for all beverages. You can enjoy the pairing of yakitori and drinks.

ドンモモ

For the grilled items, I ordered the kushiyaki (grilled skewers) Omakase. The sasami (chicken tenderloin) was juicy and especially delicious! The tamahimo (immature egg yolk and oviduct) had a nice pop and bold seasoning that really gets you hooked! It also came with soup, which made it feel like a bit of a good deal too! Overall, good value, comfortable atmosphere, and good service! I’ll definitely go again!!!!

They also offer courses with All you can drink that include à la carte dishes besides yakitori.

Momo( ᐛ )*。

The yakitori was all cooked to a nice doneness and tasted great◎The signature grilled thigh was especially good, went well with yuzu kosho (yuzu pepper paste), and I even ordered another serving! The Kara-age and fried items like the teba-kara sticks? were tasty too!

にっしー110

The 6-skewer yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) assortment also comes as 3 with salt and 3 with tare sauce, which is nice because it splits well between people who like salt-grilled and people who like tare-grilled. Lively yakitori places are nice too, but I liked being able to relax and focus on the food here. Everything I ate was delicious.

No matter how many times you visit, the yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) here is consistently delicious. The grilling is spot on. They also have a wide selection of drinks, so you can really enjoy yourself. The inside is on the small side, so it’s not the kind of place where you can relax for hours, but it’s perfect for eating and drinking. I’ll definitely keep coming back.

純情★一番

This time, we mainly ordered the restaurant’s specialty yakitori (grilled chicken skewers). Each skewer was slowly grilled over charcoal, giving it a nice aroma, a crisp outside, and juicy meat inside. The negima (chicken and scallion skewer) in particular had a great balance of rich chicken fat and salt, making the beer go down easy. The tsukune (chicken meatball skewer) also had a coarse grind that showed the care put into hand shaping it. The tare (sweet soy based sauce) was not too sweet either, and it paired well with the charcoal aroma.

The grilled items are also excellent. They are served grilled individually rather than on skewers. The staff were also very thoughtful, and the friends I went with were happy too.

Yakitori Garmy

Yakitori Gami, where you can enjoy charcoal grilled yakitori made with fresh jidori (free range chicken), is a popular yakitori spot tucked away in a back alley about a 5-minute walk from JR Tenma Station, and people also like its hideaway atmosphere.

Inside is a small space with counter seats only, where you can watch the grill area. It is said to have an atmosphere that makes it easy to visit even on your own.

They use Awaodori (Tokushima local chicken) from Tokushima Prefecture, known for its rich depth and umami and its pleasantly firm bite. Each skewer is carefully prepared by hand, then grilled over charcoal.

The "tsukune (chicken meatball skewer)," made from shaped ground meat, is said to pair perfectly with the secret tare sauce that has been added to over time and the meaty texture of the tsukune. You can also add egg yolk and cheese as toppings.

The "Meibutsu Teba Shioyaki (house specialty salt grilled chicken wings)" is made by salting fried chicken wings and grilling them to bring out their great flavor. It is said to be an excellent dish with a crispy outside and juicy texture inside.

The menu is extensive, and they also offer courses with All you can drink. There is also a good value course with All you can eat and drink from the full menu.

We ordered chicken skin senbei, thigh, yagen nankotsu (soft chicken breast cartilage), thigh, gizzard, and stuffed green peppers. The chicken skin senbei had a rich sweet and savory sauce that paired well with drinks. The yakitori skewers were grilled over charcoal, served piping hot, had a nice level of doneness, and could be ordered from just one skewer. The stuffed green peppers were packed tightly with meat, very satisfying, and recommended.

Yakitori to Oden Issekigocho

Yakitori to Oden Issekigocho, about a 5-minute walk from JR Tenma Station, is a place where you can casually enjoy authentic yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), carefully grilled by the chef, in a warm wooden space.

Because yakitori tastes best fresh off the grill, the restaurant has more counter seats. There are also 4 tables.

They butcher one whole fresh asa-biki chicken (morning-processed chicken) and serve everything from the standard cuts to rare parts, with both salt-grilled and sauce-grilled options.

Every yakitori skewer is said to be fragrant on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside, with great taste all around. Since you can order from just 1 skewer, it is popular as a place where you can enjoy a wide range of menu items.

The photo shows the “Cheese Tsukune,” a grilled tsukune made by shaping ground momo (thigh meat) and topping it with cheese, then searing it with a burner. You can enjoy its juicy texture and the rich taste of the cheese.

Traditional Japanese simmered oden is also popular. The broth, made with chicken bones, chicken flakes, and kombu kelp, soaks into the ingredients and makes it especially good.

Each skewer had a flavor that showed it was made with very high quality meat. There were no off notes at all, and every one I tried was delicious. The negima (chicken and scallion skewer) was the best of all.

The atmosphere inside was nice, and the staff were friendly and pleasant. The rare cuts sell out early, so if you want to try them, it’s best to go right when they open. When I went at 19:00, they only had furisode (part of the shoulder) left. The oden (Japanese stew) and yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) were all delicious. They also have a big menu, so this is a great place to try all kinds of dishes.

Yakitori Hinataya Tenma Ten

Yakitorihinataya Tenma Ten serves authentic yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) cooked over charcoal, and it is well regarded not only for its tasty food but also for its open and stylish space with both counter and table seating.

The restaurant is located in Ura-Tenma Tenjin Yokocho, in Ura-Tenma Chochin Dori, about a 3-minute walk from JR Tenma Station.

The yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) lineup is extensive, from classics to rare cuts, and each skewer comes in a thick, big size. You can order from just one skewer, which makes it easy to try a range of different cuts.

Each one is said to be grilled just right, with a plump, springy bite and juicy, tasty flavor that goes great with drinks.

They also offer a wide variety of skewers made with pork or bacon wrapped around vegetables and other ingredients. The photo shows the stylish-looking "Hanjuku Tamago Bacon Maki (soft-boiled egg bacon roll)."

You can also enjoy a wide range of other à la carte dishes. They are all said to be creative and consistently good, and the restaurant is always lively.

You might not notice it unless you go down the alley, but this was another great find! It was our second stop, so we mostly focused on drinks, but the three of us each picked one kind of skewer we liked and then enjoyed some snacks to go with the drinks! The lightly seared liver was rich and melty, and really delicious(,,•﹏•,,)

The yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) are large and seasoned with just the right amount of salt✨Every one I tried was a hit! There is also a full lineup of dishes beyond yakitori! Even the bread for the ajillo is grilled over charcoal, and it is soft, warm, and tasty. The potato salad is very filling and recommended. The yakitori here was seriously high level.

Yakitori Toritan Umeda Higashidori

Yakitori Toritan Umeda Higashidori is a yakitori restaurant built around the concept of “a place where yakitori and Beef Tongue taste great.” You can enjoy yakitori made with Domestic asa-biki chicken (freshly slaughtered morning chicken).

The calm interior has both counter and table seating. It is about a 13-minute walk from JR Tenma Station, inside the Hankyu Higashidori Shotengai (shopping street).

For the yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), they use large cuts of chicken so you can enjoy the concentrated flavor of the meat. Each skewer is carefully prepared by hand, then grilled over charcoal by skilled chefs.

They offer a wide range, from classics to more unusual options. Every skewer is said to be plump and tasty. The photo shows negima (chicken skewers with green onion) with tare sauce, made with green onion between the pieces of chicken.

Another specialty, the "thick-cut Beef Tongue skewer," is made from the most richly marbled, fattiest part of the tongue root, a cut that can only be taken in very small amounts from a single tongue.

It is available in limited quantities and often sells out, so it is best to visit early. If you choose the reservation-only "Oyadori (parent bird)-Oya-" course, you can be sure to try it.

食べ歩きのゆーた

The pieces of yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) were really big and super satisfying to eat! There were all kinds of appetizers too, and they went great with the drinks! I highly recommend ordering the toro toro rebasashi (silky raw liver sashimi) appetizer, which is perfect with alcohol and a must-try! The staff were friendly and helpful too! I’ll be back again soon!

The cheese tsukune (chicken meatball) had plenty of Parmigiano cheese over the tender tsukune! The tsukune and cheese went really well together, and I finished it in no time! The zuri shio (salted gizzard) had a great texture!! The seasoning was tasty too
