Inside, the space feels calm and away from the bustle of Namba. There is counter seating only, and it is by reservation only.

The menu consists only of the “Omakase course,” which lets you enjoy a perfect balance of 17〜20 small plates and sushi. You can fully savor the quality of seasonal ingredients.

For the shari (sushi rice), they use a blend of three kinds of rice best suited to that time of year along with red vinegar. Every piece of sushi is said to feature fresh toppings and taste great.

The appetizers and Japanese sake also have a good reputation for being tasty. The photo shows “myoga no nori-maki,” made with myoga (Japanese ginger) from the ginger family wrapped in nori seaweed. It is said to be a light and refreshing dish that regulars love.

With counter seating only, one of the big draws is being able to watch the chef’s craftsmanship up close and enjoy the sushi right after it is made.

Above all, the chef’s ideas are fresh and original, and you can enjoy rare standout dishes you can only find here. The chef is also very personable, and it’s nice that you can enjoy sushi while chatting in the warm and lively atmosphere. A high-end sushi restaurant in a place like this?! Its location right in the middle of town also adds to the hidden gem feel!

The owner is incredibly dedicated to sushi. The owner has a great personality, the staff create a nice atmosphere, and the restaurant also has a good feel to it, so of course the sushi was excellent, and the a la carte dishes and Japanese sake were tasty too. It seems the course content changes with the seasons, so I’m really looking forward to my next visit. The value for money is outstanding, and this feels like the kind of place that will become hard to book from now on.

Located in a beautiful building, the restaurant itself was also very clean, and the chefs were all quite young. It was my first time trying jukusei-zushi (aged sushi), and I was surprised by how much the taste and texture could change even with the same ingredient. The difference was especially clear with the squid. Maybe it was because the chefs were young, but they talked with us a lot, so we could enjoy the meal in a relaxed way without feeling tense.

The interior is very stylish and clean. The meal comes in a style where nigiri (hand-formed sushi) and tsumami (small dishes) are served alternately. Since it was my first time, it was a lot of fun. What also left a strong impression was the akazu (red vinegar) sushi rice. The slightly firm rice loosened nicely with each bite in a way I had never experienced before. It was a really fun and delicious time.

しふぉん0426

A high-quality space with a striking counter made from a single slab of hinoki (Japanese cypress). The Omakase course enjoyed in this calm setting feels like a truly “premium” time. It starts with their signature fatty tuna✨They shave on so much truffle that you can almost no longer see the toro?! It feels unbelievably luxurious…✨

Every piece of sushi they shape right in front of you is full of care, and no matter what you eat, it is impressive. They also serve ultra-luxurious sushi like otoro (fatty tuna) × truffle and amaebi (sweet shrimp) × caviar!! The à la carte dishes were also quite luxurious, and every one was delicious. hirotaka1977

No matter what you order, everything tastes great at this place. The toro-taku (fatty tuna and takuan roll) was the best I have ever had. The toppings were fresh too, including uni (sea urchin) and ikura (salmon roe) piled on so high it was almost spilling over, and I left Manzoku. This is the kind of place I want to visit as a reward for my own hard work.

We got there early, so there were some open seats, but by the time we left, the place was full! The kani miso (crab tomalley) from the quick menu was the best I’ve ever had. The maguro (tuna) was true lean akami (lean tuna), with such a clean, light taste it felt like the more you ate, the leaner you’d get! The eel seems to be Domestic eel. It’s a classic old-school sushi restaurant.

・1.5-serving lunch
This price for 12 pieces of sushi and miso soup is a great deal. The shari (sushi rice) is small and cute in size, but 12 pieces was enough to leave me fully Manzoku. You can conveniently order extra sushi on your phone from the QR code at the table. Service is quick too, so you can enjoy it without stress even during a busy lunch time.

I visited on a weekday evening. I had a lot of luggage, but they showed me to a spacious table, which really helped. Everything was good and reasonably priced, from the aburi-zushi (seared sushi) and makimono (rolled sushi) to the saba-zanmai (mackerel assortment). Nostalgic old songs kept playing the whole time, and orders are placed by QR code. I recommend it when you want to grab some tasty sushi quickly. It is also close to Namba Station.

The miso soup, chawanmushi (savory egg custard), and side menu are also well stocked, which is nice! You can get more gari (pickled ginger) if you ask for a refill! It’s seriously great that they stay open until early morning

It’s a grown-up kind of sushi restaurant! The seafood was as fresh as it gets, and the otsukuri (sashimi platter) was also delicious. The shrimp and oysters were plump and tasty, the sushi and even the shari (vinegared sushi rice) were great, and the uni (sea urchin) had no off notes at all, so I was very Manzoku! They also had unusual items like shako (mantis shrimp), and the menu had lots of choices!

Kuromon Sakaezushi is a long established sushi restaurant that pays close attention to its neta (toppings), shari (seasoned sushi rice), and the skill of its experienced sushi chefs. It is located inside Kuromon Market, a 3-minute walk from Kintetsu-Nippombashi Station.

The interior has a calm atmosphere and offers counter seats, table seats, and Private room options. It stays open all day from morning to night.

The toppings use fresh seafood that the chef personally buys at the market first thing in the morning, and the shari (vinegared sushi rice) is said to be mild, without a strong vinegar taste. The toppings are large and satisfying, and they have a reputation for being very tasty.

The photo shows the “nigiri assortment regular,” which lets you enjoy 10 pieces. It is recommended when you are not sure what to order.

Their Rice bowls piled high with very fresh seafood are also popular. In particular, the luxurious "Kaisen-don (seafood Rice bowl)," where you can enjoy seven kinds of toppings such as tuna, salmon, and crab, is said to be excellent.

They also offer a wide range of à la carte dishes. There are non-seafood options as well, such as the "Wagyu Rice bowl" and "Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black Wagyu) diced steak."

The recommendations of the day were really tasty. They made the sushi one piece at a time, and it was very reasonably priced. We were only supposed to have a few drinks and small bites until our kushikatsu (deep-fried skewers) reservation, but we ended up ordering just a little more and then a little more. The seared nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch) sushi became the best sushi I’ve ever had in my life. It was so good that it felt like a shame to swallow it.

The sushi was delicious! The toppings were generous, the rice was on the smaller side, and it was very satisfying! Everyone on the staff was kind, too. I want to go again.

Shotaro Sushi

Shotaro Zushi is a sushi izakaya where you can casually enjoy sushi made with fresh ingredients, located along Hozenji Koisan-dori, a 2-minute walk from Osaka Metro Namba Station.

The interior is said to have a clean and calm atmosphere. It is fully equipped with counter and table seating.

The sushi toppings use Domestic seafood sourced from the fish market. Skilled chefs carefully shape each piece by hand. The shari (sushi rice) is on the smaller side, and everything is so tasty that you will want to try a wide range of toppings.

The photo shows the "Omakase Nigiri 10 Pieces," an easy way to enjoy 10 pieces of the chef's Omakase selection for the day.

They also offer a wide range of seafood based à la carte dishes, and the photo shows the "Hotate (scallop) Butter Yaki," topped with plenty of vegetables and mushrooms over scallops. It is said to be so good that drinks go down easy.

They also offer three kinds of courses that include sushi and a variety of à la carte dishes. The portions are generous and highly Manzoku.

Toro (fatty tuna), aji (horse mackerel), sweet shrimp, uni-kurage (sea urchin and jellyfish), and large shrimp tempura were all really good. This sushi spot sits in the heart of Namba. I ordered a standard lineup. Everything was fresh and tasty. The sushi was great, but the uni-kurage was an unexpected hit. Wrapped in nori, it got even more flavor and a nice sweet-salty balance. It was excellent as an ate (small dish to go with drinks). The large shrimp tempura was also a satisfying dish.

This street-level restaurant is in a location where popular shops in Hozenji gather. Even though it is a sushi restaurant, the prices are Casual, so it is definitely a place worth coming back to! The nigiri sushi has small portions of shari (sushi rice), but that lets you enjoy many different toppings, which is great.

Tachi-zushi Maguro Ittetsu Sennichimae Ten

Tachi Zushi Maguro Ittetsu Sennichimae Ten, tucked away on Urasakamachi-dori and about a 5-minute walk from Osaka Metro Namba Station, is a sushi izakaya where you can casually enjoy sushi carefully prepared by skilled sushi chefs.

The interior is long and narrow, with only 26 counter seats in total. It is said to have a homey atmosphere that makes it easy to stop by even on your own.

What sets this place apart is its continued focus on both the quality and price of its maguro (tuna). They source fresh, tasty maguro from around Japan every day, and serve everything from standard cuts to rare parts.

The photo shows the popular "Hon-maguro Zanmai," which lets you enjoy tenmi, chutoro, and otoro all at once. The otoro is said to be rich with fat and melt in your mouth.

They also offer a wide variety of toppings beyond maguro (tuna), and they are said to be popular for their large size and great taste. The photo shows the "Aburi Zanmai," featuring 3 kinds of recommended toppings of the day, lightly seared.

They also offer 2 kinds of courses. These include not only sushi but also a la carte dishes such as otsukuri (sashimi platter) and grilled items, making them a good value and satisfying.

双子のジージ

The sign says Tachi Sushi, and the place has a long, narrow layout with about 15 counter seats. The menu is extensive, with a focus on maguro (tuna), and I also enjoyed items featuring some unusual cuts. The service was good, including from the taisho (chef-owner), and the lively atmosphere plus reasonable prices made it a fun place to enjoy a meal.

This is a standing sushi izakaya with several restaurants in Osaka Prefecture, known for its great maguro (tuna). The maguro is of course delicious, but the unagi (eel) was also nicely fragrant from the grill, and the tamago (Japanese omelet) had a gentle seasoning and tasted really good. You can order your favorite toppings one piece at a time, so it is also great for a quick drink!

Onofuku

Onofuku is a sushi restaurant where you can enjoy sushi and à la carte dishes made with seasonal seafood, located along Kurouemoncho-dori, about a 4-minute walk from Kintetsu Osaka-Namba Station.

The interior has a homey atmosphere, and on days when pro baseball games are on, one of its charms is being able to enjoy sushi in a lively setting while watching the game.

All of the sushi is said to be popular for its fresh, tasty toppings, and the rice is also small and easy to eat. Each plate comes with 2 pieces.

The two types of "[All you can drink included] sushi-packed Banquet course" seem to be popular. They include 7 Omakase dishes by the head chef, such as sushi, grilled items, and simmered dishes.

They also offer a wide selection of dishes other than sushi, and they are all said to be tasty and pair well with drinks.

It is only available on certain days of the week, but at lunchtime they serve a daily Lunch set meal with 8 pieces of sushi and udon. The udon is popular for its flavorful dashi broth.

The dishes centered on sushi and sashimi are delicious, and the calm atmosphere makes it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. They also serve a carefully prepared otoshi (small appetizer), which I really appreciate because it lets me enjoy the food and have a meal in a pleasant atmosphere.

The sushi is authentic while staying easy on the wallet. They didn’t have the kampachi (greater amberjack) I definitely wanted, but the hamachi (young yellowtail) they served instead was excellent. I definitely want to go again.
