This is a place where the good taste of dashi (Japanese soup stock) really shines through. The interior is calm, and the staff are calm and welcoming too. Starting with the oden (Japanese hot pot dish), everything I tried was delicious. I highly recommend trying the daikon radish and the rolled cabbage. The ramen at the end was also a very satisfying dish. Next time, I want to try the aji-buta (brand pork). I am sure I will be coming back again.

Every dish was carefully prepared and delicious, but the sashimi, especially the makuro, was particularly good. It also looked beautiful! And the Private room was very nice too. Even though kushikatsu (deep-fried skewers) is the main draw, the wide range of izakaya dishes like sashimi, gyu tataki (seared beef), and baked potatoes with cheese are just as good as the kushikatsu. First, draft beer and takowasa (wasabi-marinated octopus). We ordered the 15-skewer course. It looks like the course also comes with a salad. Every kushiage (deep-fried skewer) was delicious. The mildly sweet sauce had a complex, rich, really nice flavor. Even more than that, maybe because the ingredients were so fresh, things like shrimp, hotate (scallop), and chicken were irresistible with just salt, with sweetness and umami spreading through your mouth. You can get goya champuru (Okinawan stir-fry with bitter melon) in lots of places these days, but this one had that authentic kind of good taste. There were still plenty of other dishes I wanted to try!

The otoshi (small appetizer) is served in a short course format, with salad, monaka (wafer), three kinds of yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), a vegetable skewer, and a palate cleanser.
The monaka and salad also have creative touches, giving the lineup a nice sense of originality.
Because it starts with a course, it is easy to get into the flow of the meal, and people like how it builds anticipation for what is to come.

The sasami (chicken tender) skewer is said to turn out plump and juicy when carefully grilled over charcoal, bringing out its mild umami.
The flavor shows the care taken with the delicate grilling, and some say it left a real impression. Other popular options include lightly seared liver and tsukune (chicken meatball skewers) shaped after ordering, with a lineup of skewers that make the most of the ingredients.

It’s a place where you can enjoy yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) and natural wine! (Of course, they are also particular about their selections of Japanese sake and shochu) The meal starts with a short course, and the salad is always very fresh, with carefully made dressing that tastes really good.

About a 1-minute walk from Yamato-Yagi Station on the Kintetsu Osaka Line. Very convenient. Since it is run by one of Nara’s leading breweries, they offer a great selection of good Japanese sake. This place was created with the hope that people could casually discover how good the sake from Toyosawa Shuzo is, so please enjoy trying all kinds of Japanese sake.

I really enjoyed comparing kan-buri (winter yellowtail) and seki-buri (yellowtail from the Seki area). We also ordered roasted duck, fruit wrapped in prosciutto, and corn tempura. For drinks, they had beer with grape, mikan (mandarin orange), and tomato, with shochu. They also had a great selection of Japanese sake from Hoshuku, and I had the daiginjo.

Oshinobi Robata Isshin, a 2-minute walk from Kintetsu Yamato-Yagi Station, is an izakaya that has also become a talking point for its hideaway style, where you enter by using an intercom.
The interior is a calm Japanese-style space with a relaxed feel, and one of its charms is that you can watch charcoal grilled robata cooking from across the counter.

The signature katsuo (bonito) wara-yaki (straw-seared) is a popular menu item, brought to life by the dramatic live searing over a straw fire.
Reviews also say that along with its toasty aroma, the searing brings out the rich flavor of the fat, making it even more delicious.

The "otsukuri assortment" is said to feature a wide variety of fish such as tuna, buri (Japanese amberjack), and sawara (Spanish mackerel), and all of them are popular for being fresh and tasty.
Along with the sashimi, they also offer a wide selection of drinks to enjoy, including Japanese sake as well as beer, shochu, and assorted varieties available of sours.

I enjoyed kanpachi (greater amberjack) grilled head along with a Japanese sake tasting flight. First, the Japanese sake tasting flight was appealing for its wide lineup that let me feel the character of different regions. Each sake had a different aroma and taste, and every sip brought a different kind of enjoyment.

I sat at the counter. I enjoyed my meal while watching the food being cooked right in front of me and taking in the aromas. They also had a wide selection of drinks. The grilled stingray fin, soft roe tempura, and grilled yam were all very tasty. Since it is sumibi robatayaki (charcoal-fired hearth grilling), there is a light charcoal aroma that keeps you coming back for more. Every time I ordered a drink, they stacked up masu (wooden sake cups). Ah, I drank too much! lol

Yakitori Shusai Kinasee is an izakaya (Japanese pub) just a 1-minute walk from Kintetsu Yamato-Yagi Station, and it is well loved by locals.
The first floor is a small space centered around counter and table seating, where guests can relax in a calm atmosphere. The attentive service also feels pleasant, making it a nice place to enjoy a leisurely meal.

The "yakitori moriawase (assorted grilled chicken skewers)" is carefully grilled, and its nice balance of smoky aroma and juicy texture has made it popular.
The negima brings together the sweetness of scallion and the tenderness of chicken, while the bonjiri (tail meat) stands out for its rich fat and great taste. It also pairs well with beer and Japanese sake.

The classic menu item "kushikatsu (deep-fried skewers)" is popular for its light batter and easy-to-enjoy texture.
The "asparagus" in particular is said to have a crisp texture with a touch of sweetness, pairing well with the fragrant sauce and making drinks go down easy.
takah853
I ordered negima (chicken and scallion skewer), tsukune (chicken meatball skewer), and bonjiri (chicken tail skewer). Everything was really good. The chicken had a nice bite to it, and the bonjiri was plump, juicy, and tasty. Since I was there, I also tried the kushiage (deep-fried skewers), and that was great too. The sauce had just the right level of sweetness and tasted great.

The mentaiko (pollock roe) dashimaki tamago (Japanese rolled omelet) had a light, fluffy texture, with just the right amount of mentaiko mixed into the egg, and the gentle dashi flavor spread across the palate. The mentaiko’s mild spicy kick added a nice accent, which made it enjoyable all the way to the last bite without getting old. The restaurant also had a nice atmosphere, and the staff provided courteous service, so I was able to enjoy a relaxed meal.

Each skewer of yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) is said to be carefully grilled, bringing out its savory aroma and rich flavor.
The large thigh and liver skewers have a satisfying bite, and people rave that the liver pairs especially well with salted sesame oil, letting you enjoy its full flavor. They also say it goes great with drinks, with beer and Japanese sake going down easily alongside it.

The classic sake no chazuke (salmon ochazuke) is a popular menu item, praised for its gentle flavor. It is served with plenty of katsuo dashi (bonito stock) poured over it, and tastes great as you flake the salmon into the broth.
It comes with chopped wasabi and takuan (pickled daikon), so you can also enjoy changes in aroma and texture. It is said to be perfect as the finishing dish after yakitori, and people like its comforting, calming taste.

An izakaya near Kintetsu Goido Station. Four of us visited and had various dishes, including yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) and ochazuke (rice in tea broth). The yakitori thigh, the fig salad with prosciutto, cheese, and nuts, the Sea Bream sesame sauce ochazuke, and the Anno-imo (sweet potato) roasted sweet potato brûlée were especially good.

Every yakitori (grilled chicken skewer) was carefully grilled and tasted great. The momo (thigh) and seseri (neck meat) were nicely charred and fragrant, and the tare sauce on the liver was rich and satisfying. The tsukune (chicken meatball skewer) with cheese was also filling, and the sasami no ozukuri (lightly prepared chicken tenderloin sashimi-style dish) was fresh and nice. It took a little time for the drinks and ice cream to be served, but that also made it feel like a place where you could relax and enjoy the skewers fresh off the grill.

The appeal of the "Today’s Premium Otsukuri (sashimi) assortment" is that the contents change depending on what comes in that day. It is popular for the standout freshness of every item, including katsuo (bonito) and hamachi (young yellowtail).
Many people enjoy it with local sake from Nara, and it is a menu item especially praised for its fish dishes.
Photograph:じぇる79913
The specialty, "sendo bakugun no katsuo shio tataki (seared bonito tataki with outstanding freshness and salt)," is popular for how the aroma from searing it over straw and the simple seasoning of just salt bring out the good flavor of the bonito.
It is served slightly warm and is said to pair perfectly with Japanese sake.

The restaurant has a calm feel with dim lighting. The food features a lot of fish, and for me as a fan of Japanese sake, it was perfect. The wara-yaki (straw-seared) katsuo no tataki (seared bonito) was especially outstanding!!There were lots of local cold Japanese sake options, so choosing was part of the fun, and with such good fish to drink with, I ended up drinking a little too much.

Everything we ate was delicious! The counter seats and table seats are separated by the kitchen, which made it nice and easy to talk in a relaxed way. They also have a wide selection of drinks, and the prices are low, so I’d like to go again. Next time, I’m planning to eat lots of sushi (Japanese vinegared rice with seafood) too!!
