Toranomon Yakitori Kuniyoshi, about a 5-minute walk from Toranomon Station on the Tokyo Metro, is a yakitori restaurant that has been selected for the Tabelog Yakitori EAST Tabelog 100.

The interior feels upscale while still having a nice lively buzz, making it easy to relax without feeling stiff. It has hinoki (Japanese cypress) counter seats and 3 Private room.

One signature dish you should definitely order when you visit is the famous “Kimi no Rebanira.” The jewel-like sparkling egg yolk really stands out.

The liver, wrapped in a rich egg yolk, has none of the distinctive flavor people often expect, and tastes mild. Some also said it pairs very well with Japanese sake.

Each yakitori skewer is prepared with real care, and every bite brings out more of the ingredient’s flavor. The shiro reba (chicken white liver) in particular was excellent, so good that I ended up ordering another. On top of that, the chochin (chicken ovary and yolk skewer) was a truly memorable skewer. The balance of grilling and sauce was outstanding, and for any yakitori fan, it felt like a must-order item.

酒と飯

The skewers start with kashiwa (chicken thigh) from Date-dori (Date chicken). Under the fragrant, well-grilled skin is concentrated umami. Next, the bonjiri negima offers an excellent balance of sweet fat and the aroma of negi (Japanese leek). The technique is precise and very good. The Saikyo-yaki of Oyama-dori (Oyama chicken) thigh gently brings out the aroma of miso and leaves a soft finish.

Tsuyoshi1207

It is a bit of a walk from Shimbashi Station, but it feels like a hidden gem, and I think knowing this place would make you look cool. Every skewer was delicious. Each one brought out the chicken’s natural flavor, and the oyako-don (chicken and egg Rice bowl) also had a very tasty dashi flavor. I stopped by for a Quick Drink. This place has a wide range of dishes, including basashi (horse sashimi), nabe (Hot Pot), yakitori, sashimi, grilled dishes, and fried dishes. The dishes we ordered came out quickly, which was great! It seemed like a good spot whether you come as your first stop or your second. The interior is spacious and has a nice feel! It looks like they are also open during the day, so it would be good for daytime drinks too!

Ii Toko Dori, just steps from Shimbashi Station, is a stylish izakaya (Japanese pub) known for its excellent yakitori (grilled chicken skewers). The skewers are carefully grilled over charcoal and have a great smoky aroma, with the liver and seseri (neck meat) in particular cooked to perfection and tasting great. The inside is clean and has a calm atmosphere, making it a great spot for a drink after work. The service was also polite, and I had a very comfortable time.

About a 3-minute walk from Exit 9 of Toranomon Station, Ganso Yakitori Kushihacchin Iino Biru Ten is a skewer grill specialty restaurant focused on yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) and yakiton (grilled pork skewers).

The interior has a calm atmosphere where you can relax and enjoy the food. Centered on skewers made with Domestic chicken, the izakaya menu that pairs well with drinks is said to be very good.

An easy yakitori place to drop by near my workplace. I always find myself stopping in casually without a reservation. It is perfect after work. Anyway, it is easy on the wallet. The yakitori is delicious. They get the basics right. I recommend the yakitori assortment. I also like the quail eggs.

The yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) is cheap and tasty. The skewers are fairly large and substantial, so they feel very satisfying! The zosui (rice porridge) and menu items besides the skewers are also good. It seems to be popular partly because it stays open a bit later than the other restaurants in the building. The yakisoba (fried noodles) was also tasty. It is a good spot for a quick stop after work.

Sandaimme Torimero Shimbashi Ginza-guchi Gado-shita Ten

This izakaya pub, popular for its chicken dishes, is located under the railway tracks right by JR Shinbashi Station. It is also within walking distance of Toranomon Station, and people say it is easy to drop by on a whim.

It has a bright atmosphere and draws a wide range of customers, with a spacious interior that offers as many as 200 seats.

The yakitori made with Seiryu Wakadori (young chicken raised in clear streams), carefully selected for its breeding, is said to be appealing not only for its taste but also for its large size.

The sauce uses a secret jiggly tare sauce passed down since the first generation, and it is said to go well with the juicy chicken.

Along with the yakitori, you will also want to order their specialty, Seiryu Wakadori Momo Ippon-yaki (whole grilled young chicken thigh), without fail. True to its name, it is a bold dish made by grilling one whole thigh as is.

It is served piping hot, and the staff cut it up right in front of you. People say the juices that overflow from inside are irresistible.

The signature yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) is slowly grilled over binchotan (high-grade charcoal), crisp and fragrant on the outside and juicy inside. The sauce has a good balance of sweet and savory flavors, really bringing out the taste of the chicken. The "momo-kushi" is especially thick and satisfying, and it goes perfectly with beer. There is also a wide range of fried dishes and small plates, and the chicken Kara-age has a crisp, fragrant coating with juicy meat juices spilling out from inside.

I was surprised that every dish had such steady, satisfying flavor that I could feel Manzoku with all of them. The portions are solid too, so you will leave full. It stays open until late at night, so it is easy to drop in, and it is a really useful good spot for drinking parties.

げんまちゃいちゃい

This yakitori restaurant has a lively vibe and is easy on the wallet. The yakitori comes as two skewers per order, and every kind tastes great. This feels like the kind of place where you can have a fun, lively time with friends. Haha. It is also nice that they have various small plates besides yakitori, so you can enjoy a range of dishes. If you are not sure where to go around here, definitely give it a try. It is a recommended restaurant.

The yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) was plump and juicy, the dashimaki (Japanese rolled omelet) was light and fluffy, and both were tasty and easy on the wallet. Since it is reasonably priced, it is also good for casually stopping by for a quick drink before heading home, and the service was great too. It was a comfortable, welcoming place.
