This izakaya is well reviewed for serving great food no matter what you order, from seafood to oden (Japanese hot pot dishes). It is about a 3-minute walk from Akasaka-mitsuke Station.
It is also said to be a grown-up spot with a focus on Japanese sake and wine. With its calm atmosphere, it lets you enjoy a drink while forgetting the bustle of Akasaka.

The concept here is to enjoy alcohol and seasonal ingredients throughout the year, and they seem to offer a lineup of dishes that pair well with drinks.
The daily assortment of fresh seafood delivered directly from Toyosu (Toyosu Market) is a must-order menu item. You will want to enjoy it to the fullest along with a wide range of Japanese sake from around the country and sommelier-selected wines.

Many people seem to visit for the Kansai-style oden, with more than 20 kinds always available to enjoy with the seasons.
The appeal is its authentic flavors that everyone can enjoy, and you can fully savor the harmony of seasonal ingredients and carefully made dashi (soup stock).

The interior is not very large, but it had a hideaway feel and a really nice atmosphere! The food menu had a lot of Japanese dishes, while the drink menu had a wide selection of wine, so I wondered if it would really go with Japanese food, but it was amazingly good...! If you love wine, I highly recommend it. Even though we should have already been full since this was our second stop, we just could not stop ordering oden (Japanese stew).

There is also a course with All you can drink, and the All you can drink includes wine and Japanese sake. From the salad to the curry To finish, everything was very delicious. The pace at which the food came out was just right, and I enjoyed the meal from start to finish. The fu (wheat gluten) in the oden (Japanese stew) was especially good!

This izakaya serves fresh yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) made with carefully selected jidori (premium local chicken), along with Japanese sake from all over Japan. It stands in a great location, about a 1-minute walk from Akasaka Station on the Chiyoda Line.
The interior has a calm, hideaway feel with a wood-based design, creating a comfortable space.

The yakitori uses Amakusa Daio (rare free-range chicken from Kumamoto Prefecture), which is flown in fresh every day, and each skewer is carefully grilled over charcoal.
These outstanding yakitori bring out the full rich flavor of this high quality jidori (free-range chicken), and they have won many fans, with lots of repeat customers coming back again and again.

Among the yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) menu, the ever popular number one item is said to be the "shio tsukune (salt-seasoned chicken meatball skewer)." It has a soft texture and is said to be a dish worthy of being called a specialty.
They also have a wide selection of Special Japanese sake with a focus on Junmaishu, so you can take your time and enjoy the yakitori with a drink in hand.
思い出のみつもみつも
About a 5-minute walk from Akasaka Station, this place is in a great location, but maybe because it is on the opposite side from the busy district, it is not noisy at all and has a calm atmosphere. The lighting inside is just right, which makes it relaxing. And the yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) is also very good. I ended up eating nearly 10 skewers, but I think the tsukune (chicken meatball skewer) I had first was my favorite. The grilled vegetables were also cooked very well, keeping their moisture, and were very tasty.

This yakitori place is without a doubt delicious. The first time I went was 5 years ago! Ever since I was blown away by how good the tsukune (chicken meatball skewer) was, I’ve kept coming back! The grilling is perfect, you can also eat raw chicken, and it’s the kind of place where the Japanese sake just keeps flowing. Even the otoshi (small appetizer) is stylish✨It was another night of total Manzoku this time too.

Every table comes with its own highball and lemon sour server, so you can drink as much as you like for a flat rate. It’s a perfect service for people who love to drink.
They offer five kinds of charcoal grilled Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef) every day, ranging from standard cuts to rare parts.

They source oysters from all over Japan, with more than 10 kinds available every day, served in a wide variety of dishes such as ajillo, namero (minced fish with seasonings), and Clay Pot dishes.

I was impressed by both the oysters and Wagyu, each delicious enough to be the star of the meal! The lightly seared Wagyu was especially amazing with its melt-in-your-mouth texture, and the creamy fresh oysters were outstanding. The restaurant has a calm atmosphere that is perfect for a date. The staff were also polite and welcoming, making this a place you will want to visit again.

This izakaya lets you enjoy yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) backed by more than 60 years of history passed down through three generations. It is said to be well known for its tasty house made sauce.
Inside, the spacious dining area features counter seats made with marble imported directly from Italy. The space is said to be designed with a focus on natural materials.

They offer more than 160 kinds of drinks, including hard-to-find Japanese sake. The yakitori goes perfectly with drinks, and they prepare it by breaking down whole chickens every day, so it is said to be very fresh.
The tare sauce passed down over generations has the mellow texture and sweetness of aged soy sauce, and its deep richness seems to spread across your mouth.
Some say the restaurant’s signature foie gras motsu-kushi (offal skewer) is so good that even people who do not like liver will be won over.
It has none of the off notes typical of liver, and its soft, melt-in-your-mouth texture is part of the appeal. It also seems to pair perfectly with the secret house sauce.

If you want to enjoy drinks slowly and quietly in Akasaka, this place is a very solid choice. Every yakitori (grilled chicken skewer) showed careful preparation, and they were all excellent! They have all kinds of drinks, including beer, Japanese sake, shochu, and wine. Personally, I really liked the lineup of Japanese sake, with many options that suited my taste. This izakaya is popular for enjoying tasty sosaku tsukune (creative chicken meatballs) in a Private room. It is about a 1-minute walk from Akasaka-mitsuke Station, making it easy to stop by.
The dimly lit interior has a stylish atmosphere, while still feeling like a place where you can relax and feel at ease.
Their signature kodawari sosaku tsukune (carefully crafted creative chicken meatballs) come in a total of 18 varieties. The assortment plate is perfect for photos.
They use fresh chicken, hand shape each one, and grill them with care, giving them a light and juicy finish.
They also offer a wide range of chicken dishes made with Special jidori (local chicken). They seem to pair perfectly with seasonal limited edition local sake and classic Japanese sake.
The jet-black and striking “jidori sumibiyaki (charcoal-grilled local chicken)” is said to be grilled to a fragrant finish, with the full flavor and firm bite of the chicken really coming through.
This place has a wide lineup of classic bar snacks! The potato salad, edamame (young soybeans), yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), Kara-age, and more are all reliably good. The yakitori in particular is nicely charred, with a great balance of sweet and savory tare sauce. Needless to say, it goes perfectly with beer. Lol. The space with Japanese touches was neat and well kept, and even though it is an izakaya (Japanese pub), it had a slightly more grown-up feel. Beef Tongue seemed to be the specialty, so I ordered the charcoal grilled version. The Beef Tongue was grilled with perfect heat, fragrant on the outside and tender inside. The more you chew, the more flavor comes out, and the sweet-savory sauce brings it out even more. The Beef Tongue tsukune (chicken-style meatball) was nicely grilled and packed with rich meat flavor, with juicy juices spreading out in every bite, and it had a pleasant texture without being too soft!

Its location just a short walk from Akasaka-mitsuke Station is another nice point, making it easy to get to. Once inside, just like my last visit, the restaurant had a calm Japanese style atmosphere, and the warm Private room with a wood based interior felt like a relaxing space to unwind. Since it is a fully private room, you can enjoy your conversation without worrying about the people around you, so I think it is perfect for meals with friends or business entertainment.

First, the yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) came with the fragrant aroma of charcoal grilling, whetting the appetite from the moment it arrived. The chicken thigh skewer was crisp and fragrant on the outside and juicy inside, with rich flavor spreading with every bite. The sweet and savory tare sauce and the smoky charcoal aroma worked together perfectly, making it a great match for beer or a highball.

The menu is extensive, and everything suited my taste, so it was very hard to choose…! The top recommendations are the hitokuchi zeitaku kobore-zushi (bite-size luxurious overflowing sushi), Isomaru-style potato jar salad, dashimaki tamago (Japanese rolled omelet) with shirasu (whitebait), and kani miso korayaki (crab miso grilled in the shell). I also liked that we could enjoy isoyaki (seaside-style grilled seafood) right at our table!
