Yakitori Tsukada Shibuya is a 3-minute walk from Shibuya Station in Tokyo. This izakaya serves sumibiyaki yakitori (charcoal-grilled chicken skewers) made with jidori (premium free-range chicken), which makes up only 1% of Japan's chicken distribution.
There are table seats and Private room options, but if you want to enjoy watching the chefs grill the yakitori, the counter seats are recommended.
Photograph:pinkr3030
The yakitori, grilled by skilled chefs with perfectly judged heat, is said to let you enjoy the sweet richness and umami of high quality fat in every skewer.
The "Tsukimi Tsukune" is a very popular dish, eaten mixed with fresh, rich egg yolk. Another popular choice is the signature menu item "furisode (shoulder meat)". This rare cut taken from the shoulder is known for being juicy.
Photograph:mogumogu記録
If you are not sure which yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) to order, choosing a course is recommended. The contents vary by course, but you can enjoy 10〜14 dishes. Along with a wide variety of skewers, you can also fully enjoy excellent chicken dishes.
Another feature is the solid selection of wines that pair perfectly with sumibiyaki yakitori (charcoal grilled chicken skewers).

The Private room was comfortable, the course was just the right volume and tasty, the assortment and tableware were stylish, and the staff were pleasant, so it was a Manzoku dinner.

KINKA sushi bar izakaya Shibuya is a hideaway-style izakaya from Canada. You can casually enjoy new-style aburi sushi (seared sushi), sashimi, and drinks made with tea.
The modern interior has both counter and table seating. It is located a 4-minute walk from Shibuya Station.
Photograph:ゆずまる00
The popular "Aburishasu" is a signature menu item where you can enjoy aburi-zushi (seared sushi) such as salmon, mackerel, and shrimp. Each topping is carefully seared one by one, giving them a nice fragrant taste that goes well with alcohol.
The "KINKA Roll," where you can enjoy the popping texture of tobiko (flying fish roe), is especially popular for being very tasty.
After enjoying sushi and drinks, a dessert with a Japanese touch is a great choice.
The restaurant’s recommended "Ganso Amai Bo" is a special dessert featuring deep-fried bread generously coated with sugar and ice cream topped with berry sauce. Its bright presentation is also popular, and many people apparently take photos of it.

A friend used to visit this place often, and really wanted to go again, so they took me there. The sushi selection was extensive, and what caught my eye were items you do not usually see as sushi, like kinmedai (golden eye snapper), along with creative sushi. I especially liked the kinmedai and sujiko (salmon roe) sushi roll, which was very delicious and became a favorite.

Taishu Sukiyaki Hokuto Ginza Corridor Ten is located on Ginza Corridor Street, about a 5-minute walk from Ginza Station. This popular spot lets you enjoy sukiyaki casually, a dish often seen as one of Japan’s national foods.
At night, they also serve side dishes and alcohol, so you can easily stop by and use it like an izakaya (Japanese pub).
Photograph:torak834587
The signature menu item, sukiyaki, is served as a Hot Pot and comes in a self style where you add warishita (sukiyaki broth) and sugar to your taste.
It uses Japanese Black Wagyu and Domestic beef, and is said to let you fully enjoy the rich flavor of the high quality meat and the sweetness of its fat. Another nice point is that you can order extra cuts of your preferred meat.
Photograph:ツンsan
The "OMAKASE Course," which lets you enjoy a total of 8 dishes including sukiyaki, is also popular. One of its highlights is that it includes Special menu items available only with the course.
The luxurious dishes in the photo, such as uni (sea urchin) and ikura (salmon roe) meat sushi and Beef Tongue grilled with salted sauce, are said to be excellent and a perfect match for drinks.
torak834587
For Ginza, if you can get this kind of meal at this price, I’d say it’s more than enough. I was satisfied even with the most reasonably priced meat grade. Since they pour in plenty of warishita (sukiyaki sauce) from the start, it may not be Kansai style, but if it tastes good, that hardly matters. Be sure to finish with the udon, maybe bound with egg!

As it starts bubbling away, you just dig in. Enjoy a blissful moment savoring bara-niku (short plate meat) and lean meat at the same time! It goes well with egg, of course, and tororo (grated yam), too! While fully enjoying the vegetables as well, cook the udon well to soak up and enjoy the broth that comes out. The udon is way too good...and there is quite a lot of it, so you will end up absolutely full! They have (assorted varieties available) of whisky!

Kushiyaki BISTRO Fukumimi Ginza 5, located a 3-minute walk from Ginza Station in Tokyo, is an izakaya that mainly serves skewers made with Special jidori (local chicken).
The restaurant is almost always close to full with guests from Japan and abroad, so it is best to make a reservation before visiting.

They offer a wide range of skewers, not just yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), but also kushiyaki (grilled skewers) made with beef, pork, and vegetables.
If you are not sure what to order, the "kushi assortment" is a good choice. You can enjoy five kinds, including "shiso-maki (shiso leaf roll)," "negima (chicken and scallion skewer)," and "pork belly with grated daikon and ponzu sauce)," and it is a better deal than ordering A la carte. The photo shows two servings.
Photograph:aiaiaiai59
In addition to kushiyaki (grilled skewers), they also offer a wide selection of a la carte dishes and rice dishes. Every dish is carefully prepared and tasty, and they say it goes great with drinks.
The photo shows the "mentai dashimaki." This dish features a rolled omelet cooked with dashi broth and topped generously with mentaiko (pollock roe).

Of course the yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) is great, but the appetizer of crackers and cheese cream is also excellent, and the To finish zosui (rice porridge) is seasoned perfectly. This is a place I would like to stop by again when I come to Ginza (Tokyo’s Ginza district).

If you want to casually enjoy fresh and delicious crab in Tokyo, Tsukiji Kani Matsuri is a great pick. This crab specialty restaurant is a 2-minute walk from Tsukiji Station.
The interior is said to be spacious and open. At night, you can enjoy alcohol and crab to your heart's content in an izakaya (Japanese pub) kind of mood.
Photograph:なみのり9973
One thing that stands out is the crab All you can eat course, and it seems many people enjoy it with drinks.
The specialty "zuwai-gani (snow crab) All you can eat" is a popular course where you can eat as many meaty beni-zuwai-gani (red snow crab) legs as you like. It also comes with one whole hon-zuwai-gani (snow crab), known for its top class sweetness and rich crab miso.
Photograph:himaizumi
They also offer a wide selection of à la carte dishes made with crab.
The restaurant’s recommended kani matsuri don (crab festival Rice bowl) is known for being hearty and very tasty. It is a luxurious dish that lets you fully enjoy crab and ikura (salmon roe).
よんよん7496
Three of us shared sushi, sashimi, taraba tempura (red king crab tempura), and kanimiso kora-yaki (crab miso grilled in the shell). Personally, I really loved the tempura because it was thick and so light and airy. The sashimi was also plump and large, with a great bite to it. But it was really salty, and my throat was dry all day long!! No soy sauce needed. This is the kind of food that makes you want to drink〜(I was the driver, so I couldn’t drink and was totally crushed) ww

It turned into the day I ate the most kani (crab) in my life lol. Every crab dish was so aromatic, rich with flavor, and delicious enough to make me think, Was crab always this good?! The zuwaigani (snow crab) is served whole in the shell, so it makes quite an impression lol. It seems to get crowded on some days, so it might be a good idea to book early.

Yakiniku Kokokara R is a Yakiniku restaurant with the feel of a traditional retro Japanese izakaya. You can casually enjoy high quality, tasty meat sourced through the restaurant’s own procurement routes.
Because this small restaurant is popular, making a reservation is recommended. It is about a 5-minute walk from Tsukiji Station in Tokyo.
Photograph:happy0716
In addition to standard Yakiniku, one of this place’s standout features is a menu with visually impressive items like thick cut meats and rare meats, offering a fun dining experience for guests from Japan and abroad.
The "Bubui Atsui Tan" in the photo is said to be excellent and satisfyingly hearty. The equally thick cut "Bubui Atsui Outside skirt" is also popular for being very tasty.
Photograph:スーパードライ最強
The signature meat rice is a dish you’ll want to order To finish after enjoying Yakiniku and drinks. It is said to be tasty with a nice garlic kick. Since it is served in a hot stone bowl, they recommend letting it sit for a while and then eating it with crispy scorched rice.
All of the rice dishes are said to be hearty and highly satisfying.
ねこさん(=^x^=)
The yakiniku (Japanese grilled meat) and kimchi are great, but this is the place I recommend when you want to dig into chunky cuts of meat at a good price. The words written on the beer mugs are fun too. As expected, the top picks are the chunky cuts of meat and the aburi yukke (lightly seared yukhoe-style raw beef). The grilled onions are also great for changing up the flavors and go well with drinks. Be careful not to drink too much.

Heart sashimi, Outside skirt sashimi, tongue yukhoe, and Mountain chain tripe parboiled. Everything was delicious. We lightly grilled the premium liver and ate it, and it was the best!! Asakusa Monja Monrou is a spot you can casually drop by after sightseeing in Asakusa. It serves monjayaki (savory pan-fried batter) that originated in Tsukishima, Tokyo.

Even if you do not know how to make or eat monjayaki (savory pan-fried batter), you can relax. The staff will cook it right in front of you on the Teppan-yaki griddle and finish it at just the right doneness.
One of the best parts is enjoying the lively sounds and aroma while you wait for it to be cooked nice and crispy. They will also carefully show you the best way to eat it.
Photograph:あんよ♪
It is also popular for its wide selection of snacks to enjoy with drinks before the monjayaki (savory pan-fried batter), including Teppan-yaki and other items.
The drinks menu is also extensive, with everything from beer to shochu (Japanese distilled spirit) and Japanese sake, so you can enjoy different drinks to match your food.
かつひろくん。
We ordered Monrou’s recommended one, plus lots of highballs. I usually make monja (savory pan-fried batter) myself, but the pros are different, their technique is really smooth. When I do it myself, it burns quickly, but here they kept the heat at a level where it hardly burned at all. The staff also had a really great vibe, so rather than ☆5, I’d say 10

The flavor really lets you taste the rich umami of the dashi, and paired with the aroma of the sauce, it is so good that your drinks go down easily. There is also a wide variety of toppings, from standard choices to more unusual ones. I went with a basic combination, but even so, the satisfaction level was still quite high. The best part was scraping off the slightly charred bits from the edge of the Teppan-yaki with the spatula and eating them.

The cuts of meat you can order vary by course, but all of them are said to be so high in quality that you would never guess it is All you can eat. They are tender, with a full sense of the meat's flavor and the sweetness of the fat.
In particular, the Beef Tongue and Odo Harami (classic Outside skirt) have a great reputation for being outstanding. They are said to be so good that you will want to drink several glasses of beer.

I went because I absolutely wanted to introduce the taste of Beef Tongue to my junior colleagues from Korea! The cost performance was good, and the staff were kind too! My junior colleagues were also very Manzoku with the Beef Tongue and said they want to eat it again when they come to Japan! The negi-tan (Beef Tongue with green onions) was delicious! If you can't decide which one to choose, they also recommend ordering two kinds in half sizes.
イングランド リバプール
I had a quick drink at the counter. I ordered beer, a highball, Japanese sake, and oden (Japanese hot pot items), and the karashi mustard and oden were excellent. There were lots of customers too, so I was glad it seemed to be a popular spot.

They had a really wide selection of drinks, which made it perfect for a bar-hopping stop. I had the strawberry sour, and it was so easy to drink that even I, with very low alcohol tolerance, could enjoy it lol. The food was great too, with everything from snack style dishes to more filling meal options! It was also nice that it was close to the station.

They offer a wide variety of Japanese menu items, including Appetizers, mains, and rice dishes.
Their sushi is popular for its striking look and hearty portions. The sushi in the foreground of the photo is "ebi avocado wasabi mayo (shrimp avocado with wasabi mayo)" and "ikura toro salmon onion (salmon roe, fatty salmon, and onion)." It lets you fully enjoy the rich flavor of the seafood.

If you want to fully enjoy the charm of Kyoto, obanzai (Kyoto-style home cooking) is a great choice. You can enjoy gently seasoned dressed dishes and simmered dishes that bring out the natural flavors of seasonal ingredients.
It is also known to pair perfectly with Japanese sake. Another draw is the lovely presentation that lets you feel the spirit of Japan.

We went with highballs for drinks and ordered the pork shabu-shabu and oden we came for, along with a few other dishes. All the drink glasses had different patterns, which was cute. Also, the food came out very quickly. That is always nice when you are hungry.

A friend wanted to check it out, so we visited! First off, the exterior and atmosphere are great◎ And having a Private room is also a big plus◎ Since we were in Kyoto, we ordered sukiyaki (Japanese hot pot with thinly sliced beef)! They also have a wide range of drinks, and the premium gin rickey was very good, so I definitely recommend trying it!

"Sushi to Robata Sushiyama Shinjuku" is popular as a place where you can enjoy a day trip to Hokkaido while staying right in Shinjuku, Tokyo. This izakaya has also earned praise for its hideaway feel, and you can mainly enjoy sushi and robata-yaki (fireside grilling) made with seasonal fresh seafood from Hokkaido.
The calm interior, centered around wood tones, offers counter seats, table seats, and Private room.
Photograph:やまこ8
You can order either a course meal or from the à la carte menu. One of the highlights of the drinks selection is its wide range of Hokkaido Japanese sake, shochu, wine, and more, and the course menu can also come with All you can drink for an extra charge.
The seafood, including sushi and sashimi that show off the skill of Japanese craftsmen, features famous local foods from all over Hokkaido, and all of it is said to be freshly delicious.

For those who want to enjoy lots of traditional Japanese dishes, the Manten Course is a great fit.
It includes 14 dishes in all, centered on sushi, along with chawanmushi (savory steamed egg custard), dashimaki tamago (Japanese rolled omelet), miso soup, and dishes made with fresh seafood.

Everything was delicious✨There are still more things I want to order, and next time I want to try a course too!!!Also, they had lots of drinks I’d never had before, like beer with milk and Abashiri Beer, so I was super excited. The beer with milk was very easy to drink!

I visited for dinner to eat sushi. The restaurant is quite spacious, with plenty of distance between seats, so I got the impression that it is a place where you can talk comfortably and with peace of mind. And each dish was delicious, with a wide selection of drinks too! The drinks went down so easily, and I was really Manzoku!!!(They also have several kinds of beer from Hokkaido, so you can enjoy even just the beer!!)

Fukumimi Shinjuku Ten Hanare is a hideaway-style izakaya where you can enjoy authentic kushiyaki grilled by certified specialists and Special Japanese sake.
The stylish interior with a Japanese feel has counter seats, table seats, and Sunken kotatsu seating. It is located on the basement level of a building, a 1-minute walk from Shinjuku-sanchome Station.

The grilled skewers are the restaurant’s signature menu item, carefully cooked over binchotan (high-grade white charcoal) to a perfect finish—crisp on the outside and juicy inside.
They offer a wide selection of not only chicken, but also pork, beef, and vegetables. The “Special skewer assortment,” which lets you enjoy 5 kinds, is a good pick when you are not sure what to order.
Photograph:豪炎寺修也
They also offer a full range of dishes beyond kushiyaki (grilled skewers). Everything is said to be delicious and a perfect match for Japanese sake.
The "mentai dashimaki" is a dish of dashimaki tamago (Japanese rolled omelet) topped with mentaiko (pollock roe), the seasoned roe of Alaska pollock. It is said to be perfect as a snack with drinks and incredibly good.
TakackatA
The dish that left the biggest impression on me was the smoked egg potato salad. Sorry that the photo is hard to see...... It comes as an assortment of boiled potatoes, smoked eggs, and special mayonnaise, and you keep mashing and mixing, mashing and mixing, over and over. The rich mayonnaise seasoning makes it a perfect snack with drinks! I would definitely order it again.

The grilled skewers are reasonably priced and really tasty, but the quality of the basashi (horse sashimi) went beyond expectations! The marbling was just right, and when you bit into it, it had the pleasant bite that makes horse meat unique while still melting in your mouth. They also have box-style Sunken kotatsu seating and Semi-private room seating, so it’s a great pick when you want to relax over drinks or for a group date.

Yumeshu Shinjuku Honten, a Japanese sake bar in a building just a 2-minute walk from Nishi-Shinjuku Station, brings together Japanese sake from all 47 prefectures. Even while staying in Tokyo, you can casually enjoy Special Japanese sake from production regions all over Japan. One highlight is the All you can drink course that lets you enjoy every kind.
The interior has a calm Japanese style with black as the main tone, making it a relaxing place to spend time.
The restaurant’s top recommendation, the “Mushu Sengyo Housekibako,” is an assortment of sashimi made with premium fresh fish. With a dry ice presentation, the vividly colored fresh fish looks like jewels, making this a dish that delights both the eyes and the palate.
The fresh fish served changes depending on the day, but they say that when you enjoy it with dry Japanese sake, the natural flavors of the ingredients stand out even more.
Photograph:MR味子
The “Beef Outside skirt Steak” is a superb dish that pairs the rich flavor of high quality Outside skirt with the sauce’s full bodied tang and sweetness, finished to go perfectly with Japanese sake.
It is tender and delicious, with a very filling portion, so it is recommended for those who want a hearty meal.
コトノハのグルメ
What stood out most throughout the visit was that this is not just a place with great food, but a place where you can spend time with Japanese sake at the center of the experience. The more-than-abundant lineup and the many dishes that pair alongside it make this a dream spot for anyone who loves Japanese sake.

We enjoyed a wide range of Japanese sake, from classic labels to rare ones. There were also plenty of dishes that pair well with Japanese sake, including sashimi (raw fish), so the drinks went down easily! They also offered easy-to-order Japanese sake sets, such as ones that pair well with sashimi and ones that pair well with cheese!

Izumo Ikebukuro is a popular spot in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, where you can enjoy unagi (freshwater eel) in a casual setting. It is an izakaya where you can enjoy drinks with unagi as a snack, whether it is daytime or evening.
The restaurant has two floors and offers counter seats, table seats, and Semi-private room seating. For dinner time, it is best to make a reservation before visiting.

The restaurant's signature unagitama Rice bowl (eel and egg rice bowl) is perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy food with a striking look.
The eel is said to be very tasty, with a nice grilled aroma on the outside and flaky, tender meat inside. One standout feature is that you can choose the amount of rice from 100〜750g, and the photo shows the largest size at 750g.
Photograph:虎の肉球
They offer several courses that let you fully enjoy eel. One appealing option is a good value course that includes All you can drink.
The "addictive hone-senbei (fried eel bones)" included in every course is a unique eel dish. They deep-fry eel bones with their special salt. It is crisp and tasty, and goes perfectly with drinks.

We started by ordering beer. We had umaki (rolled omelet with eel), yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), sakura-sashi (horse sashimi), sakura yukhoe (seasoned raw horse meat), and shiokara jaga butter (salted seafood innards with buttered potato)♪ The horse sashimi was delicious. I was happy to get to eat eel too, and felt Manzoku! The lineup of Japanese sake also seems to change daily, and every one was easy to drink and delicious Japanese sake♪

Mr.チーズケーキ
We wanted to eat unagi (eel), so we looked for a place that served it. We visited it as an izakaya (Japanese pub), but the Unagi Rice bowl seems to be their specialty. The unagi was soft and tasty. I ended up eating about three unagi skewers. The tamagoyaki (Japanese omelet) was good too.

Kushiyaki Ganchan is a long-running kushiyaki (grilled skewers) izakaya, a 5-minute walk from Roppongi Station, where you can enjoy a retro Japanese atmosphere. You can enjoy skewers grilled over bincho-tan (high-grade charcoal) together with carefully selected Japanese sake and shochu.
The cozy interior has counter seats and Semi-private room Sunken kotatsu seating.
Photograph:Chani
All of the kushiyaki (grilled skewers) are said to use high quality ingredients and be cooked just right, making them a great match for Japanese sake. The chicken they use is Akane-dori (a branded chicken from Ibaraki Prefecture), which is said to release more and more umami with every bite.
Popular choices include the "tebasaki (chicken wings)" in the photo, with crispy aromatic skin and juicy meat inside, and the creamy "reba (liver)."
Photograph:minimeg
If you have trouble deciding what to order, the course with Omakase grilled skewers is a good choice.
Some courses also include dishes other than grilled skewers, such as the oyako-don (chicken and egg rice bowl) shown in the photo. Oyako-don is a Rice bowl topped with simmered chicken bound together with beaten egg. People say the egg is soft and creamy, and it tastes great.

Whatever you order is delicious, but the Heart, shiso-maki (shiso leaf roll), and shiitake (shiitake mushroom) are especially good, and I end up ordering them again even when they are already included in the course. The secret Japanese sake selection is different every time, but it is so good that I always end up drinking too much and getting completely drunk before I know it.
